Friends forever

Good morning crafters!

How are you all today? I hope you are all having a good weekend.  I am here this morning to share a card with you and to tell you about this week's challenge at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog.

The amazing sponsor this week is The Crafting Boutique and the theme is Anything Goes. Simple!

Why not pop over to the 2 Sister's blog and take a peek at the other fabulous DT creations and maybe you could join us this week? It would be great if you did.

This week i chose a rubber stamp image for my card that i have not had the chance to ink up yet.  It is from Whiff of Joy and is called ''Friends Forever' - Nora & Ben. The fence is a Tim Holtz die cut and the flowers and butterfly are by K &Company.  The dp is Back to Basics III and i coloured my image with copics.

Challenges i am entering are:

Divas by Design  #56 Anything Goes
Crafts and Me Challenges #105 Anything Goes
Incy Wincy Designs Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp DIES and/or PUNCHES

Thank you for visiting.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hugs, Jill x

Good morning all,

I hope you are all well and having a good weekend.

I am here to tell you about this week's fab challenge over at the 2 Sisters challenge blog.

The theme this week is: Use your favourite stamp (digi or rubber). How cool is that?

I am sure you will all want to pop over to the 2 Sisters challenge blog and take a peek at the inspiration the DT has created for you.  It would also be fab if you could join us in this week's challenge.  Go on, what are you waiting for? lol  I am looking forward to seeing all your gorgeous stamps.

Whilst there are no sponsors this week, there will still be two winners! The prize? Each winner will be asked to be a Guest Designer for the months of November and December. Yay!

So, onto my project.  I decided to use my 'Dancing Party Tilda' image and as i am currently using an old piece of card to keep my page in my book, i thought now was the time to make myself a bookmark.  What do u think?  You place the ribbon inside the book to keep the page and the embellished part hangs outside.  Obviously, i here you all say!

The white Spellbinders heart die cut has been coloured with spun sugar distress ink so it is actually pink but it looks white in this photo. I made it a bit darker too once i uploaded this photo.  It blends in a bit better now! The butterfly was made using a Tonic punch and was given texture and sparkle using Ranger embossing tinsel (bridal). The paper is from Back to Basics III and the cardstock by Bazzill. The flowers are from Hobbycraft which i tinted using my distress inks. The image is coloured with copics. Ribbon and buttons from my stash!

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Take care.

Big hugs,
Jill x

Paper Lane

Good afternoon all, i hope you are having a great day and a Happy Easter to everyone who is celebrating Easter today.  Go on, tell me, how many of you have had chocolate easter eggs for breakfast today? :)

Today is exciting for me because my first project for Paper Lane  has been published! I was given these gorgeous papers which are from the American Crafts' Garden Cafe Collection and this is what i came up with.  The papers are double sided and fabulous quality.  The paper i used is called 'Rose's kitchen' and i used both sides of it.  The butterfly is a Hero Arts stamp which i coloured with distress inks and copics. The border and the corners were made using EK Success punches.  The sentiment is from the 'Better Poppies' stamp set from Paper and Such. I love this sentiment.

And a sideways view:

Friends

Good morning all, hope you are enjoying your weekend. The weekend is over here and it's back to normal (housework and crafting!). Well, crafting mainly with a little bit of housework here and there! :)

Anyway, i have another card to share with you this morning.  I purchased a new Hero Arts background stamp yesterday and i just had to use it straight away. I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Tim Holtz 'Shabby Shutters' distress ink. I also used my edge distresser tool for the first time.  The butterfly is a Hero Arts stamp which i love and i coloured it with copics. The sentiment is from the 'Better Poppies' stamp set from Paper and Such.

Thanks for dropping by. Enjoy your day. Hugs, Jill x

Purple is the new pink!

Good Afternoon crafters, hope you are all well.  Over here, i have been busy busy busy making a few cards for a few more challenges. I am now hooked! First up is this lovely card i made last night for the Card Patterns Sketch 142 but i am also going to enter it into the Pile It On, One Stitch at a Time and Mad for Markers challenges.

I used cream, pink and purple cardstock and patterned paper (which i cant remember where from, sorry!). The butterfly stamp is from Hero Arts and i coloured it with Copics and added some silver bling dots. I made extra wings and added them with dimensionals to give it depth. The 'just for you' sentiment is from Ladybug Crafts Ink. The punched circle is a 1 3/4 '' punch and the scalloped is 2''.  The punched edging down the side was made using my EK success punch and the purple satin ribbon was from my ribbon stash.  Hope you like it :)  If you drop by to view, please leave me a comment and i will be sure to visit you to! Thanks for looking :)
