TRCC #19: Pastel Rainbow

Hi, all! Happy JUNE! How has your summer started? I hope you are all well and staying safe! This month, we have another of our twice a year rainbow challenges for you! This month's challenge is called Pastel Rainbow! Take a peek at our fun inspiration for this month...

SO much inspiration there, don't you agree? I LOVE it! I really wanted to make the soft colors I used to POP here and there, so I went for a LOT of white with hints of pastel rainbow! Here's what I came up with...

I created this card with a bunch of washi's from my stash, a new Darice embossing folder, a die cut sentiment from Spellbinders, and papers from The Stamps of Life. I added some hints of color to the embossed panel with Sakura gel pens.

I totally love how this card turned out! I got to use some of my washi stash, and I love the way the embossing looks on the white card with hints of color! What do you think? I would love to hear your opinion about it in the comments below!

If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!

A Heartfelt Thanks Post

Hi, friends! Today is a very bittersweet day for me. It's technically the first day of our summer break from school, but the past few months have been anything but normal and very emotionally taxing. I am so grateful for so many thing today, that I had to share a card that expressed that. Take a peek...

This card was made using old stamps from my stash. I used a heart that looks like a stamp because all of my love for my students has had to be posted somewhere and not in person. I used a Sakura gel pen to create the shiny faux black vinyl letters. A couple of black enamel gems finished this CAS, one layer card.

I am so grateful for the opportunity that I had to teach my 27 students this year. Before we left for spring break, I had a moment at the end of a day where I looked out at them all engaged and learning on their own accord, and my heart was FULL. I realized how much they had grown, and I cannot say how thankful I am just for that small moment and experience to help carry me through the last 8 weeks. I also have so much gratitude for the staff and parents I was blessed to work with this year. There is NO WAY I would have been able to do this without them!

I am entering this creation into these fabulous challenges~

Thank YOU so much for stopping by today! If you read my post, I appreciate your willingness to listen to me today. I hope that you take some time today to thank someone close to you. You never know when you will see them next, so don't wait! Until next time, HUGS and happy crafting, friends!

SO much inspiration there, don't you agree? I LOVE it! I was very inspired the different patterns and textures to use up some washi tape! Here's what I came up with...

I created this card with a bunch of washi's from my stash, my favorite butterfly punches from Stampin' Up!, a sentiment from Inlovearts, and some liquid pearls and glittery paper.

I totally love how this card turned out! I got to use some of my washi stash, and I love the way the patterns go together! What do you think? I would love to hear your opinion about it in the comments below!

Washi Tape Series 05: Unicorn Scene

Hi, friends! Yep, it's fall, almost winter, here in the northern hemisphere! Yep! I'm sharing a bright rainbow card today! ;) I need to share more for my Washi Tape Series, so here is a card that uses one of the border washi tapes I have in my stash!

The stamps are from a set I purchased online a while ago, and now I can't find. I apologize! The clouds are die cut from blue glitter paper, and the faux stitched rectangle dies are from The Stamps of Life. Bling is from my stash, and the inks are also from The Stamps of Life.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation! I hope you take some time to craft and create today! If you do, I hope you join in the fun with these fabulous challenges! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

Pretty Peonies

Hello, friends! I decided it's been FAR too long since I sat down and crafted, so I took a bit of time to do just that today! I used some products that I purchased a few months ago, but still hadn't used. Yep. These stamps were just WAITING to be inked! Here's my completed card...

I used the Large Peonies stamp set from Spellbinders for my florals. I colored the peonies in with colored pencil, then fussy cut them out and popped them up over the leaf images. I added a bit of bling from Darice and a sentiment from a set from Michael's. I added some shimmer with Sakura gel pen ink on the sentiment and in the center of the large flower (the yellow).

I honestly adore the way these blooms turned out! What do you think about them? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

TRCC #8: Passion for Purple

Hello, friends, and happy August! I hope you're looking forward to a new month--I know I am! Thank you so much to everyone who played along last month at The Rainbow Card Challenge, and here is this month's prompt...

Now, we really just want to see creations with an plethora of purple. You don't have to necessarily go with the "passion" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

I decided to continue my "stash rummage" for this creation. This time around, I found two Hero Arts stamp sets that haven't been used in a long while, some Simon Says Stamps ink that still wasn't open, and some patterned paper from Stampin' Up! from a long forgotten pack. A few enamel hearts and purple rhinestones accent the fun CAS design I kept to the left side of the card!

Purple is my FAVORITE! *sigh* This card was super fun to make, and I think this it turned out beautifully! I hope you like it, too! I would LOVE for you to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Please come and join us this month at The Rainbow Card Challenge! I LOVE seeing what everyone creates! If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!

Washi Tape Series 03: Borders & A Butterfly

Well, hello my friends! I am so sorry that I haven't been as faithful as I had hoped here this summer. I have been involved in a lot of projects to help manage my anxiety, and I can honestly say this summer has been one of the best I've had in a long time! But I've missed you all, so I had to pop in today to share another card for my Washi Tape Series. Oh, I have quite a few more to share, so please don't give up on me yet! Take a peek at today's offering...

So, this card is frustrating to me because the washi tapes are GOLD, but I could not get a good angle to photograph the shine! Oh, well. ;)

These fun washi's are ones that I normally don't use as much because I never know what to DO with them. Borders and sentiments. Yes, I know I could use them the way I usually use washi, but I really wanted these to be showcased differently, so I chose to use them literally. As borders and a sentiment!

Both of these washi tapes are from Doodle Bug Designs, the butterfly punches are from EK Success, the glitter and liquid pearls are from Ranger, and the cardstock is from The Stamps of Life. I cannot remember where the glitter paper came from...sorry! I do adore this fun card, and it has already been re-homed. ;) I would love to hear your thoughts on this card in the comments below!

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends! I appreciate your kind words and visits, even though I may not be around as much as I used to be! I hope you take some time today to create--and link up with these fabulous challenge! Until next time, HUGS and happy crafting!
