There She Goes Sneak Peek {Day One}

No “bots” set would be complete without Nursebot! Torico has done it again. She warmed your heart last month with Lovebots and this month she’s going to make you feel all better with Nursebot. What a great way to send well wishes then a visit from the Nursebot.
Nursebot is a 4x4 set that includes a total of 11 stamps and will sell for $10.00.

What a fun set Torico has designed for us this month!  Some fun images and sentiments sure to make a smile come to your face.  I didn't have a lot of time to get this card done - I left it until the last minute and then struggled to make it *just right.*  In the end, I combined the CR84FN Color Challenge with the Week 3 Viva la Verve sketch to come up with this:

Would you like to win the new Nursebot stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetters' blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment, the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, January 28th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

Have fun hopping -see you tomorrow with another fun set!

A Double Dose of Viva la Verve-aliciousness!

Happy Hump Day everyone!  How's your week been going so far?  Things here have been busy and the weather is getting progressively cooler...a definite chill in the air which can only mean one thing - the white stuff is inevitably on its way.  I'm not exactly looking forward to it but it makes everything look so pretty.  ;)

This morning I sat down to get a couple of cards done for this month's Viva la Verve Sketch challenge.  I had two left to do and wanted to get them out of the way before I forgot about them!  I LOVE the colors in this week's TCP Tuesday challenge (my favorite kind of challenge!) so I had to use them along with one of my new TCP sets, "Oh Chute!"  Isn't that bunny the cutest little thing you ever did see???  I must apologize to Maureen right now for totally missing the ribbon/bow part of her Week Three sketch - I took a few other liberties with the sketch as well...please forgive me, Moe?  I can send chocolate if that will help... ;)

Stamps: Oh Chute (TCP)  Ink: Early Espresso, Memento Tuxedo Black  Paper: Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Early Espresso, Whisper White, SU! DSP and Happy Days DSP (Echo Park) Accessories: Circus Panels Cut-Ups die, Circle Nesties, paper piercer, twine, button, Copics, Clouds border Cut-Ups die, Square Lattice embossing folder

Now for my second card - this one combines the Viva la Verve Week Five sketch with this week's Color Throwdown combo.  I've also used the There She Goes challenge "Au Naturale" to use twine, canvas, or some other "natural" material on your card.  Oh...yeah... I made a few adjustments to this sketch too... GOSH, can't I just leave a sketch alone?  LOL

Stamps: Follow Your Bliss (There She Goes), Graph Paper Plain Jane (Verve)  Ink: Old Olive  Paper: Miscellaneous DSP scraps, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Baja Breeze  Accessories: Loopy Blooms die, Rounded Scallop Frame die (Verve), World's Best die (tag, TSG), twine, button, sewing machine

So, there you have it - that's how I spent my Wednesday morning.  Now I guess I'd better get the *real* work done 'cause it won't do itself.  :)  Have a fabulous day everyone and don't forget about the new 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge tomorrow morning!  See you then!

Thursday Morning With the Play Date Cafe and Viva la Verve

Welcome back everyone!  Even though I *should* be cleaning house and doing some Christmas baking to throw in the freezer, I *had* to sit down and make a card this morning.  It has been a LONG time since I have had time to play along with the Play Date Cafe and this week's color combo is GORGEOUS so that gave me a good place to start:

I decided to use Cajun Craze, Island Indigo and Basic Gray for my colors and, lucky for me, I found an older Basic Grey paper pad, Pyrus, that worked PERFECTLY with these colors!  I used the Week Two Viva la Verve sketch by Teresa Kline (lovely, BTW) and, surprisingly, followed it VERY literally...nothing out-of-the-box for me this morning.  The sentiment is one that I love and constantly remind myself of... Life. Is. Good.  :)

Stamps: Hope Blooms (Verve)  Ink: Basic Gray, Cajun Craze, Island Indigo marker  Paper: Pyrus DSP (BG), Island Indigo, Basic Gray, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla  Accessories: Sewing machine, Nesties, Tipsy Hearts die (Sizzix), Basic Gray satin ribbon, button, Divine Swirls EF, sponge dauber, twine

Thanks for taking time to stop by - the weather here is beautiful today...the quintessential fall day.  Enjoy your day wherever you are!

Morning everyone!  I'm back with a quick 4 Crafty Chicks post.  This week's challenge is being hosted by our good friend, Leanne, and she is challenging you to make a monochromatic card.  Pick one color and then use different shades to make it beautiful.

For my card I chose brown and cream and used the Week Four Viva la Verve sketch from last month:

I hope you will have some time to play with us this week - we loved having over 300 of you join us last week!  If you are in Canada - ENJOY your Thanksgiving weekend and we'll see you next week!

{TSG124} Meets {Viva la Verve}!

Happy Monday everyone!!!

Are you ready for another week?  The weather here in Central Alberta has gotten downright CHILLY so we've been busy trying to get things outside organized before the (shhhhhhhh....) snow flies.  I was out with the dog this morning and could see my breath!

This week's There She Goes challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week- Debby! She has challenged us to make a card using the colors yellow & grey, plus 1 neutral color.

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card using the inspirational colors (yellow, grey, +1 neutral) from the picture, and then go back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (October 10th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

For my card, I used the VLV October - Week One sketch... simple and beautiful:

Stamps: Flowers of Happiness (TSG)  Paper: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Victoria Gardens DSP (Echo Park), Toy Box Collection (Crate Paper), SU! DSP  Ink: Basic Gray  Accessories: World's Best die (TSG), white satin ribbon, Basic Gray corduroy button, adhesive pearls, paper piercer, corner rounder, Scallop Edge border punch (SU!), sponge dauber

That's it for me today - have fun playing with this color palette.  If you feel adventurous, perhaps you could try a Christmas card with these colors???  Now THERE's a challenge!  LOL  Enjoy!

Some Monday Morning-into-the-Afternoon Craftiness!

Welcome to another fun-filled week, everyone!  I know I have been VERY MIA lately and I must apologize - between packing, moving, unpacking and hanging out with the kiddos, I just haven't spent much time in my craft room.  But, with school starting this week for one of the monsters and next Tuesday for the other two, I KNOW I will be here MUCH more often.  :)

So today's post is actually a two-fer for y'all - well, you're going to get to see two cards for four challenges...how's that for you?  The first card is for  this week's TCP Tuesday Challenge over at the Cat's Pajamas blog (it's a color challenge...my fave!) as well as for the Viva la Verve Week Four sketch by Charmaine...I had to rotate it 180* to make it work for the stamp set I wanted to use...

I kind of *improvised* and used my clouds as the scallop border at the top of the main panel...the coloring on my bear leaves something to be desired but...whatev'!  LOL

Stamps: Catch My Drift (TCP)  Ink: Chocolate Chip, Onyx Black Versafine  Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Pumpkin Pie, SU! DSP  Accessories: Cloud Border die (TCP), Swiss Dots embossing folder, Seeing Spots embossing folder, paper piercer, dimensionals, Chocolate Chip twine (SU!), Copics

The second card I've got for you is for the Viva la Verve Week Five sketch as well as the CR84FN Color Challenge where I haven't played for awhile - I decided to use Early Espresso for my neutral:

Stamps: Hope Blooms (Verve)  Paper: Sweetly Smitten DSP (Sassafras), Madeline DSP (Prima), SU! DSP, Early Espresso, Bashful Blue  Ink: Early Espresso  Accessories: Paper piercer, Circles Nesties, Sweet Scallop Tag die, sponge dauber, Bashful Blue satin ribbon, button, twine

Thanks for stopping by today... hopefully you will be able to stop by again sooner than later!  I have some exciting news to share with you all in the next week or so so I hope you will join me for that PLUS the 4 Crafty Chicks are celebrating ONE YEAR of challenges on Thursday and we have some fun planned for you all!  Enjoy your week!
