Autumn Leaves.......and Winter`s not far behind!

Up there`s my Acer Japonica and down here too.........

It doesn`t look too much in these pics but the colours this year are quite fabulous and uplifiting even on the gloomiest of days. It sits quite happily just outside my dining room window where it`s been since I first planted it as a sapling almost 10 years ago - in fact it`s all you can see when you sit at the table because it takes up the whole view! My friend remarked yesterday that we should sit with the lights out on Halloween and listen to the branches scraping against the glass and watch the shadows cast by the leaves on the window....spooky enough! I wish I could draw and paint because my tree`s just perfect at the moment for capturing on canvas. Paying it Forward Really Pays Off.......

..............when you want to give someone a little lift and that`s exactly what happened when a lovely little brown padded envelope fell through my letterbox this morning. It was from Jen over here http://buttonsribbonsandotherthings.blogspot.com/ and it really was unexpected since I`d forgotten she promised everyone who entered her giveaway a little something in the post so true to her word here is my little bundle of loveliness which she sent to me.........

....all wrapped up in some pretty tissue paper and tied with stripey string....

.....inside were these very pretty pieces of the loveliest fabric which I am definitely going to do something special with...

... I`ll be basing my outfit for Christmas Day around this pretty little bracelet (sorry about pic, I`m really,really making a concerted effort to find a decent camera!).....

....and what do you think of my new bag charm - which of course requires a new bag to hang it from so that`s my `weekend project` since it`s payday on Friday and I seriously need to treat myself!(don`t you just hate 5-week months?!!).....

So there we have it, a thoroughly nice gesture from a thoroughly nice girl - I really am a Lucky Little Blogger- take a look at her pretty blog and pay a little visit to her Etsy shop too - you won`t be disappointed.

My New Coffee Table Magazine - S`il Vous Plait!

I took part in Floss`s `No Frills Magazine Swap` and this is what I got from Floss herself:-

.....a very classy French Mag wrapped in a pretty piece of France! with some gorgeous rooms on show......for instance......

...I would love this little lot in my hallway.....and

...I desperately need one of these for all my bits and pieces......also....

...I would love to have my morning cuppa in this kitchen - the dishwasher`s even stencilled on the front!

I have similar chairs in my garden but they came from B&Q at a bargain price! I think I`ll get one of those lovely cats too!

I really need this reading lamp!

I`m not terribly sure what she is but I love her and she`s not dissimilar to how I look and feel sometimes!

This is a workstation would you believe? How tidy.

This room`s got everything I love in it - I`ve even got similar rugs but have never thought of draping them over my sofas!
