Grateful Pillow Treat Box

Designing For The Cutting Cafe

Today I have a fun 'Pillow Treat' Box for Fall
Make sure and click on the link to see ALL that comes with this set
as it is quite a bargain  for $4.99!!

I had intentionally planned  on making a matching box to this one
but my Cricut tore up my paper...
MY fault as I forgot to change the setting from card stock to paper...geez!
I guess that is what you call operator density!!

I kept my box pretty simple and you can see it is not yet filled,
I don't keep candy around the house much
as it is too tempting for me to 'gobble' down
and has a way of calling to me!!

Also these are a nice size pillow box, bigger then I have normally seen
so make a nice size for a fun treat.

I also would of normally used a smaller print
for my box (which the second box would of had)
but I just loved these fun Fall colors.  I added the flower and leaves to finish it off.

Visit The Cutting Cafe blog tomorrow (11-7)and you can see plenty
more of these fab boxes made by our Design Team...
each so different and unique,
by leaving a comment there you could win a prize in the next drawing Nov. 21st.

and a little ghost on the right....friendly of course!

I also added a bright lime green bow and a candy corn button!

Fall Door

Designing For The Cutting Cafe

Happy Sunday All!
Today I have a card for The Cutting Cafe using the

In fact not only did I make a Front Door
but the entire team did and tomorrow October 7th
you can see all the awesome doors on
The Cutting Cafe blog HERE.
Every month on the 7th and 21st the Cafe team gets together
on the blog and show lots of creative inspiration...
mark your calendars so you won't miss a thing!!

Our assignment was to make a Fall door,
now how fun is that!!

I used Fall colors for my door and added a flower pot
with a pumpkin, ear of corn and flowers.
Of course it seemed a cat was just a purr-fect addition as well.

The wreath is part of the set and my door says
'My Door is Always open for you'.
I added a few flowers, leaves and a bow.

This was fun to make and I printed out another door for future use.
I did use my Cricut to cut all the pieces, but it also comes in
other file formats, like PDF for those of you without an
electronic machine.

Thanks for visiting...'see ya' later!!

Ballet Backpack

Designing For The Cutting Cafe

Today I have the cutest cut file
created by Regina at The Cutting Cafe!

She has designed a BACKPACK that is just perfect to hold
some fun goodies or a gift card.

I have a granddaughter Kendall who is 13 and has been in dance
since she was 4,
so I made a dance recital backpack with her in mind.

I had the perfect paper in my stash
(probably bought for scrap booking which I don't do anymore).

I cut this out on my Cricut in no time at all
(but all the files come in a PDF version too if you don't have an electronic machine)
One of the fun things and it wasn't thought out at all,
was when I cut the flap for the top of the pocket
it came out perfect with the words 'opening night' and ballet shoes....
couldn't of done any better then that!

I added a glittery ballerina to the front pocket,
which by the way, a Ghiradelli chocolate will fit in perfect.

Her birthday is in February and I plan to save this for her,
add the chocolates and a gift card in the back pack itself!

Make sure to come back tomorrow on the 21st
to The Cutting Cafe blog as all the designers are there
showing their own backpacks..all so different and creative
and you won't want to miss it.

Back To School Fun at The Cutting Cafe

Summer is winding down and it is getting to be time
to think about 'Back To School'.
My kids are all grown with kids of their own
so no worries there for me, but instead I can have fun
making a few school projects the grandkids can take for their teachers....
it always helps to be on the 'good' side of a teacher LOL!

My first card has always been a favorite cut file from
and it's the  'Apple Shaped' card.

I cut mine on my Cricut,
but there is also a SUPER easy file in PDF that can be hand cut very easily
for those of you without an electronic machine.

I kept it very simple by just adding a ribbon bow and a few buttons.

My second card is a 'back to school' sweater using the cut file
named for the ugly sweater parties you see at Christmas time lol.
Last month the entire team made sweaters for one of our
Design Team assignments
and that was when my computer died and I wasn't able to join in.
But, I love this file so much I decided to make one for this assignment
to go along with my apple card!!
You can see all the sweaters from last month HERE.

All the papers used are from Echo Park's Celebrate autumn 6 x 6 paper pad.

This also happens to be the time the entire team gets together at
The Cutting Cafe blog in one place
so you can ALL the team designs there on August 7th!!

Make sure to visit there and leave a comment for YOUR chance to win
three cut files (your choice) of your own!!

Christmas In July at The Cutting Cafe

It is Christmas In July at The Cutting Cafe
and we were to pick any Christmas cut file to use.
Well, I have (had) oodles to choose from
but when my 'puter' died I lost ALL of them...
because my backup smoked too...ugh

But, on a GOOD note, Regina just happened to send us a few
Christmas files a few weeks back and one of them was this
OMGoodness, this is the cutest thing ever and I want to make them all!

I only had time (quick as they are to make) to do one
due to our leaving for a quick 'vaca' again,
so I chose the JOY box...CUTE!!

I used red card stock for the bottom and of course
white for the top, knowing I was going to add a
handmade little poinsettia to the top for decoration.

These are all that are in the set...like I said CUTE!!

BLOG PICTURE

This file comes with a few greetings to tie on as well
and I just added it on under the flower.

Anyhow I filled the box with 'kisses'.
Isn't it cute???

Tomorrow on the 21st if you visit
The Cutting Cafe blog
(usually in the afternoon...time differences)
all the Design Team will have their
wonderful Christmas in July creations
that you can see all in one place...awesome!!

Eat The Donut

Happy Donut Day!!
Yes, I know it's spelled wrong, but that is the FUN of it!!
Today I have a brand new cutting file from
The Cutting Cafe (store link)
'Donut Fun' ...told ya!!

One of MY favorite 'Donuts' happens to be
a Lemon Filled...YUM!

Keeping that in mind, I decided to
make my donut box with a lemon theme
(only I would have lemon paper..lol)

This file comes with several different printables
and cut files
AND
it was the easiest thing ever to make on my Cricut...
no Cricut, it has PDF too.

I also made a shaped donut card just for fun to go with...
all frosted with glittery goodness!!

Mark you calendar for tomorrow, June 7th (afternoon usually)
as all the design team will be on The Cutting Cafe blog
with all their yummy donut projects...
I have seen them and they are awesome,
you won't want to miss it!!

Paper Lace Cut Files

Yikes, here we are towards the end of the month already...
it seems the older you get time passes by so quickly!

I have a Cricut cut card today using a new cut file from
The Cutting Cafe Paper Lace Templates and Cut Files.
Make sure and take a peek at these files as there are 4 different
files in 3 sizes.

I used the 'small alpha' size for mine.
It is on a 6" square card.
I computer generated the sentiment.
Remember that song?
ABC 123...do I have you singing it now?

It made a quick and easy card, letting the Cricut do all the cutting.

Stop by The Cutting Cafe Blog tomorrow May 21st,
as all the Design Team will have their Paper Lace creations to show you...
you can see it all in one place...leave a comment on the blog there for your chance to win
2 cut files of your own choice.

Teapots

Happy May 6th, today would of been my mama's 92nd birthday had she lived.
I miss her dearly!

I have a couple of fun The Cutting Cafe cut files to show you
that are so easy to create!
I have made this teapot before and and just love it each and every time.

The file is Teapot Shaped Card Set
It comes with two different shaped teapots and matching envelopes for each.

I used my Cricut to cut mine, but it has other machine files as well as PDF
for those of you without an electronic machine and are good at hand cutting.
The papers I used are from Mintay Bloomville.
The envelope paper is SU.

Here is the second teapot from the set...
very different from the first.
I also used Mintay Bloomville paper for this one
and again SU paper for the envelope.

I added a pretty bow with a gingham 'candi' in the center and
some pretty Rose trim at the bottom.

Mark your calendars for tomorrow, May 7th as
later in the afternoon ALL the design Team will have their coffee/tea
creations in ONE place to 'inspire' you...
leave a comment on The Cutting Cafe Blog to be in the draw
to win two cut files of your choice!!

Wellies

Happy Easter All!
Not only is is Easter, but it just so happens that it is also
the day the design team comes together
all in one place at
to share all our projects!
(because of time differences, it will show up later in the day for some)

We are normally to have our posts up before the actual
group day, but I had an unforeseen delay.

Anyhow, this post is a rather 'special' one for me as during the month of April
some of the team joined in with Joy Clair to collaborate
Joy Clair stamps and The Cutting Cafe cut files.
I am double collaborating as I am
showing both on the same day as the group post.

Fun? You bet!!
For my project I chose from Joy Clair the cutest stamp set

I have always loved making these wellies
and as soon as I saw the Spring Stroll stamp set
I knew they were a match made in heaven!!

The Spring Stroll stamp set has many different stamps to choose from,
but you can see I chose a corner flower for the envelope
and the cutest wellies for my tag on the wellies.

I colored the boots in with Copics and added a bit of a stardust pen for sparkle.

I also added sparkle to the envelope corner flower as well.
The envelope is part of the Rain Boots~Wellies cut file.

From the same stamp set I stamped the sentiment inside.

Aren't these two just the cutest together?

So make sure and take a peak over at  The Cutting Cafe blog
to see all the fun projects from my 'teammates'
and check out the stamps at Joy Clair
and all the cut files (they come in PDF too)

Hop Hop Hop

It's that time again on April 7th where all the designers from
get together and join in one place for you to see all the creations
and this time it is all about EASTER!!

You can see I went a little crazy with the
and made several.
That's how easy they are to make!!

This first bunny is made from the beautiful 'Mintay' papers.
I did a craft show on Saturday and he hopped right on out of there!
Each bunny has a matching file to cut the envelope!

I just had to do a blue bunny...
look at his pretty polka dot envelope!

Well geez,
I couldn't have just one blue bunny,
so I created a second.

If I have blue bunnies,
then I have to have pink!
I made her pretty little flower!

This next bunny was a special order for a birthday this month.
See... the name might be Easter bunny,
but it works just as good for a birthday and a baby card too!

For fun I added google eyes, pompom noses
and ribbon bows with flowers to all!

The Easter Bunny cut file is a mere $1.50...
can you believe that.
I cut all mine on my Cricut
but it also comes in a PDF file as well.

Thanks for visiting with me and make sure on the 7th to stop by
The Cutting Cafe blog to see ALL the Easter creations!!
