Celebrating You Today

 Hello Friends, today I have some exciting news to share.
I have joined the Design Team at the  new challenge at
Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges that debuted last month!

The challenges go live the first Friday of every month
and end the last Friday of the month!

As you can see this months theme is Pink and Black .

For my first Design Team project I used a favorite combo from

Taylored Expressions Butterflies Stamp and Stencil.

The inks are Altenew's Cherry Blossom mini ink cube set.

The sentiment is from The Greetery Birthday Suite.

Turner's Syndrome Instagram Card Auction Fundraiser

 This year there is once again a fabulous card auction
on Instagram where you can bid on cards created
by lots and lots of fabulous designers.
All proceeds will go directly to the
Turner Syndrome Foundation for research!
Don't know what Turner Syndrome is?.
You can read about (and should) all the information HERE!

TSF supports families dealing with Turner Syndrome by providing support and educational programs, research and outreach.

Turner Syndrome only affects females and they are born missing all or part of their second X chromosome leaving them with lifelong medical issues, learning disabilities and in some behavioral issues.  Turner Syndrome was recognized by Doctor Henry Turner back in 1938!!  Here we are in 2022 and most people have NEVER heard of Turner Syndrome!

Rosy Red Challenge

We are already at challenge #2 at Colorful Options
and this time our color is

Rosy Red

I used a stamp from now sadly out of business Sparkle N Sprinkle
and it is called Roses In My Heart.

I have to say this did NOT turn out as planned .
I stamped the image with versamark then embossed with a
Gold Detail SNS embossing powder.
After coloring with red Copics I decided to do
a technique that I've done several times before by
watering down some glue and spattering it on my card
then sprinkling glitter on.

I have to admit the technique was a fail for some reason and I have a total
glitter coverage.  I sprayed with hair spray to hold all that glitter on.
all I can think is that the air was so dry that static keep the glitter on,
who knows, but it was very cold out when I did , maybe 10 degrees so had to be static?

Major difference isn't there?
On well, it is what it is like they say!

Love Bug

 Time for a new challenge theme at
Double D Challenges and it is HEARTS!

We have a fun mood board to inspire you but you can create
anything as long as it is HEART themed!

I have the cutest little Love Bug to share.
He is created with a die from Cottage Cutz.
These dies make the cutest cards and I have an never ending collection of them!

For my background, besides the gingham paper, I used one of my 
favorite dies from Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle.

Two Old Bats February 2022 Halloween Challenge

Halloween in February?  YES, that's correct,
at Two Old Bats Halloween challenge we
celebrate Halloween every month
allowing you to work on your spooky cards year round!

We have this fun PINK Halloween mood board to 
inspire you, but you can use anything Halloween you want.
this is just for inspiration! 

I totally let the pink colors inspire me.
I had purchased a new Prima Halloween paper pad
Mostly in pinks called Thirty-One!
That is where the spidery pink background came from!

I found I had a nice size web in my Halloween ephemera packets
and a glittery spider die cut from Cheery Lyn Designs.

I added some Pink Fresh Studio Ballet Slipper gems for sparkle,
other then that I left it alone!

February Anything Goes Winter Challenge Four Seasons Challenge

We are at our LAST Winter challenge at Four Seasons
and I have created this fun wintery mood board,
hey it's February so had to toss some hearts in there right? 
You can use the inspiration mood board or not
as long as your creation is WINTERY!!

Anything Goes Winter

I have the what I think is the perfect die for this heartfelt winter challenge.
It is Memory Box Snowflake Heart!

It is one of those dies that doesn't cut out but INTO your card stock
so I used a Tutti Designs nesting heart die to cut it out
as I wanted to use an embossing folder behind it.

I cut a second Tutti nesting heart in red to place behind the MB heart die

to show off those pretty snowflakes.

The sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh Simple sentiments
which fits perfectly on the layered Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Strips.
I use these strip dies so much that now I just leave two of them out next to my 

Big Shot permanently!
I had a little white dove sitting on my work table so I added him too
to finish off my card!

February Hearts

This month at Dies R Us we will have a theme
all month long for both of our challenges in February
and this month it will be all about Valentines/Love! 

I saw a cute layout on Pinterest and somewhat followed it
but making it my own.
Black 100# card stock was used for the base with a few 
designer papers from Recollections I've had for a long time.

The Precious Marieke Floral Border die is one that cuts 'into' your card stock
but scored long the edge then cut it with my guillotine.
The bigger hearts ae Tutti Designs Nesting Cross Stiched hearts
and the little hearts are from The Cheapo Dies Love Machine set.

The Leaf Flourish is no longer in stock but I gave a link
for ALL the flourishes that are!
