George Lucas Trains People To Use The Force

Star Wars creator George Lucas has released a new toy which is being marketed as a tool to help you develop Jedi-like powers. OK, The Force Trainer (expected to be priced at $90 to $100) is not really going to give you magical powers. It comes with a headset that uses brain waves to allow players to manipulate a sphere within a clear 10-inch-tall training tower. It is a toy but it is also one of the first mass-market brain-to-computer products. The headset reads your brain activity, in a simplified version of EEG medical tests. This circuitry translates it to physical action and if you can focus well enough, the training sphere, which looks like a ping-pong ball, will rise in the tower. It does take some deep concentration to get the Force-full effect something that is not possible without lots of coffee. The toy comes with Star Wars sound effects and audio clips emitted from the base unit. ( www.theinquirer.net )

Roadside Romeo, a joint venture between Walt Disney Pictures and leading Indian studio Yash Raj Films, has been two years in the making and tells the story of pampered pet dog Romeo after he is abandoned on the streets of Mumbai. Characters in the 90-minute film, which producers hope will be a hit over the coming Diwali festive period, are voiced by popular Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Jaaved Jaaferi. Warner Bros, which owns the rights to the Harry Potter franchise, had argued the Indian film sounded too similar to the name of JK Rowling's wizard hero. But lawyers for both sides have said the case has now been dismissed. The New Delhi court said Warner Bros could have brought the case three years ago and said readers could easily distinguish Hari Puttar from Harry Potter. Columbia works on the Sequel of Spider-Man

Columbia Pictures brings again the actor Tobey Maguire and the director Sam Raimi for the sequel 4-5 quick-selling films of Spider-Man.( Los Angeles )

The news from Hollywood Reporter emerges following spread the speculation that Tobey Maguire plans to end his role as the super-hero in bad against goodness, and forces the studio in order to find the other actor to fill up this role.

"the Studio has not turned to any other actor. Tobey is the only choice and the only person that we invite to discuss about the role,"says the spokesperson Columbia Pictures, Steve Elzer, when announcing the plan.

Columbia will consider to carry out the taking of the picture of the two films , as the step in cost saving and hope will release the first film in May 2011, nine years after debut his original film.
The three first films of Spider-Man scooped up revenue with a value of US$2,5 billion from the sale of the ticket all over the world. Global Box Office had placed Spider`Man as the most succesful the Columbia sequel film.
