Earring to Necklace Tutorial

Can you believe I used to wear these earrings? I mean they are cute. But if I wore earrings like this all the time I would have nasty saggy old lady ears by the time I'm thirty!

 

BUT!

Instead of getting rid of them...

 I used one of them to make a necklace!
((Ok, don't judge my pasty white skin).

I got the super long chain from Michael's for like three bucks and that was all that I had to buy!

Crocheted necklace - GORGEOUS!

Here I come again, with another great invention made by my Grandma Mimi.  Check this necklace out!

Isn't it so cool?  I love it so much!  She crocheted the entire thing and put it together.  This is one she'll definitely have to teach me how to make before she goes back to Brazil.

 

Up close, I love that flower and that awesome "wheel"  (I don't know what to call it) next to it.  So fun.

Really sucky picture, but I just had to have you see what it looks like on.  It totally makes an outfit!  I can't wait what else she'll come up with.

Fabric flower necklace

Hello friends!  I just finished this very fun little fabric flower necklace.  It took me less than an hour, and it turned out really cute!  It was inspired by my fabric flowers I made the other day, here is the tutorial.

I crocheted a chain out of a thick nylon yarn, long enough for my neck.  Then, I made the big flower just like the tutorial above, and the little circles are made from our tie headband flowers, the tutorial for that is here.

Next, I stitched the big flower and the little ones on to the chain, and that's that!  I just tie a bow in the back, and done.

I have to say that I really like how it turned out.  Really cute, and it matched my outfit :)

See?  I hope you'll give it a try, I used stuff I already had around the house, I love it when my crafts don't cost a thing!

Beaded Fabric Flower Necklace Tutorial
