We just completed a custom rug for a client that wanted a bow rug for her little girl's room and she wanted it personalized with her initial. I think it came out so cute, I had to share it with you.

It is sculpted, carved, and inlaid. What do ya think?

Polka Dot Fun!

We just made a custom rug for one of our retailers of our custom monogram rugs. It came out so cute with the bright pops of color on the black background that I just had to share with you.

Busy Designing...Again

I am busy, busy, busy trying to design 7 custom rugs for a client in Arizona and getting ready to teach a class tomorrow on "How to Sell on Ebay" ...all the while sniffling and coughing. I fought hard to not catch the cold going around my family but looks like I've finally succomb to it...darn! Please pray that I have a voice tomorrow...my voice is essential to teach a class!! As soon as I get this design project complete, I'll post again, but for now take a look at these fabulous custom rugs!





Oh and Rhoda from Southern Hospitality who was the winner of our custom rug giveaway just received her rug yesterday! She said she will be posting pics soon. UPDATE 2/21/09: Rhoda just posted the photos of her new entry rug that we made for her....here is 1 of the pics...
She chose a 4' round black rug with a zebra print "M" inlay to go in her entry. Stop by Rhoda's blog to see the rest of the photos!
This was the first time we did an animal print initial inlay. I think it turned out nice so we will start offering our monogram rugs with leopard & zebra as well as all our other solid colors. If you would like one of your own...contact us.

Carpet Art

Hubby is home on vacation this week so we are just relaxing. Needing to recharge our batteries. Today the plan is to hit the flea market and go to lunch. So today's post I'm going to take this time to show you a work of art hubby created using carpet. It reminds me of a Picasso painting. In fact it was displayed at our local art gallery. It's so cool! It is available for sale...so if you are interested contact us. We will entertain all offers.






Here is another rug that we are thinking of creating. Picture the pink hair done in a shag and the face would be done in a plush. I can see this rug in a bathroom or in any room that belongs to a girly girl!

Rugs, Rugs, and More Rugs!!

We have been so busy lately with custom rug orders coming in everyday! Just when we get caught up...more orders come in. Not complaining...just super busy! Hubby & I are each working about 70-80 hours a week! We so need a vacation after the holidays! Here are just some of the rugs we've been busy making. Oh and on monday I'll show you a fun abstract rug that we will be making this weekend for a client...it's black, hot pink, and red.

This was done for a baby nursery...lucky baby girl!

This is our zebra patchwork style rug...can be done in any of these colors: red, black, orange, yellow, purple, lime green, bright blue, aqua, navy blue, brown, light pink, or hot pink

I'm sure I don't have to tell you that monograms are HOT, right?! You see monogrammed stuff everywhere lately! I know we have been getting a ton of orders for monogram rugs. It makes a rug so much more than just a rug when it has been personalized with an initial. Makes a wonderful gift!

Custom Rug for a Nursery

First off I want to say, "A BIG THANK YOU" for all that have participated in the "Support Women Entrepreneurs" post! There is some very talented, enterprising women out there! Let's keep the list growing and keep advertising this growing list of women owned businesses! We Can Do It!!

I wanted to share with you all a little idea of what we at Creative Carpet Design do. We are a family owned custom rug manufacturing business. I'm in charge of designing, carpet selection, advertising, sales, ordering supplies, photo taking, etc.... and hubby is in charge of the construction of the custom rugs and packaging/shipping. We ship our rugs all over the US & Canada! Even have one of our rugs in Singapore!

Here are some fabric swatches a lady sent us to design and create a custom rug for her nursery. She wanted the rug to match the crib bedding.

She had a budget of $300 so this is what we did for her.
She LOVED the rug! In fact she sent us photos of the rug in the nursery. We love when our customers send us photos!! We love to see how the rugs look in the rooms that they were made for!



Hope you enjoyed that brief little example of what we do! I will not be posting for a couple days...I've just beeen accepted to sell our line of kids rugs and monogrammed rugs on Amazon! Yippee! So I've got to get busy listing them all!
