Pictures of Eko Atlantic City (Lagos, Nigeria)

Eko Atlantic is a new city being built by the Lagos state Government (in partnership with some private investors) along the coast of Lagos. Actually, it is being built on reclaimed land from the Lagos lagoon; a stretch of coastline adjacent Lagos. When completed, it is going to be the number one Nigerian international commerce city. It is going to have state of the art high tech infrastructure in line with modern and environmental standards.

With a 10 square kilometers land mass, Eko Atlantic City will satisfy needs for tourist, commercial, financial, and residential accommodations. It is speculated that the city would house about a quarter of a million residence. I love futuristic developments, so I decided to showcase some pictures of the ongoing construction of this city of the future in Lagos.

India and Selfie-Related Deaths

In a recent research (According to Washington Post), it was discovered that more than half of the 27 related 'selfie' deaths in 2015 occurred in the second most populous country in Asia, India. What a very sad news. India as a country is one that I have always compared greatly with my dear country, Nigeria. One, because of the large population of both countries; being the 2nd and and 7th most populous counties in the world respectively (According to infoplease.com). And 2, because, Indians and Nigerians like to take what is trending in the world, and turn it up another notch. This is evident in the fact that India, when Hollywood became a household name in the 70s and 80s, quickly went and named their own movie industry, Bollywood (a play on the name, Hollywood). Nigeria did the same when they named their own movie industry Nollywood.

10 Most Beautiful Villages in Europe

Check out the pictures of of the 10 most beautiful village in Europe. Looking at the pictures saddened me...these are villages, not even cities, and they are this beautiful. I don't even think the problem with Nigeria (and Africa as a whole) is lack of resources and money; the problem is from within. We have poor hearts, that's why our outer world is so dirty and disarranged. This also has to do with Advancement...Europe is far more advanced than Africa in all areas. It's the neatness and the orderliness of the villages that really fascinate s me.

The pictures of the villages below are of 1. Bled, Slovenia. 2. Gruyeres, Switzerland. 3. Cong, Ireland. 4. Telc, Czech Republic. 5. Pucisca, Croatia. 6. Tellaro, Italy. 7. Reine, Norway. 8. Hallstatt, Austria. 9. Bibury, England. 10. Colmar, France. The pictures appear as they have been listed above.
