months ago dan encouraged me to create a studio
or a workplace if you will.
i was traveling around the house with my laptop
& felt sorta homeless.
we basically were only using our living room
as the room that holds the christmas tree
so it seemed the perfect space.
we found two perfect homes for the sofas
& began to make a plan.
during the interim caroline enjoyed having her own personal dance space!
basically i need a place to write, edit photos
& work on noonday.
we had our budget in mind & headed to world market to purchase
a table, chair and a couple other little pieces for the space.
i realize it's pretty sparse right now
but too much clutter actually makes me nervous.
i'm going to let the room evolve...
may or may not add storage for my noonday inventory
may or may not do something different with lighting
(i'd love a chandelier)
may or may not reupholster one of dan's moms chairs that she passed down to me
may or may not add some art
or make some big boards to showcase photography.
but for now i'm loving the space.
when the girls come home from school
someone usually camps out in here & works on homework.
i wanted a big comfy chair so that while i'm working on the computer
someone can snuggle up with a book.
i realize it's probably a designer's nightmare
or it looks completely uninspiring to you
but it's perfect for me!
i usually have the window closest to my desk open
& listen to the birds right out side my window
that nest in the maple tree
while listening to fleetwood mac or needtobreathe on pandora.
i love it!
