Christmas Thank Yous...

Perfect timing...Just Add Ink's Christmas Gift Packaging challenge...Great inspiration as I wanted something to say THANK you. Made small open boxes to package up some treats. Used the heavier weight pattern paper to make these tokens of appreciation for the peeps at work. Filled with chocolate chip cookies, packaged peanuts and finished with some Lindt chocolate.

Didn't want the goodies to spill out, so I used cello bags and tied with some jute and some ribbon. This was a great pattern paper buster..using double sided pattern paper.. even added a layered embossed sentiment on a few of the boxes... Voila!

Working on more Christmas cards and for inspiration... I used the weekly AHSC. Great way to use up those paper scraps..Glimmer paper is a must for Christmas cards and used the Merry Christmas from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set....Trying  different colour combinations..Voila!

merry CHRISTMOOSE...

I'm on a roll with cardmaking challenges and up next ~ Just Add Ink's Just Add Legs . The theme had me stumped at first and than I thought the moose is perfect with it's long gangly legs..perfect for the theme. Thank goodness my bestie lent me her stamp set to play with. Paired the moose in the faux snow globe with the red and black buffalo plaid pattern paper for a masculine Christmas card with a splash of glitter because it's a Christmas card.. Voila!

Vintage Merry Christmas Penguins

Alrighty...on a penguin roll..and wanted to try Kim's sketch from  Freshly Made Sketches...a non traditional Christmas colour combination... Not sure why I am so drawn to the Vintage pink, silver, black and white mix..there's just something about it. I was lucky enough to have made some of these penquins at my bestie's because I haven't been able to order the stamp and punch bundle myself...huge sigh...

Anyways..here's a trio of cards and with that...I'm now at 56/100 card goal..

Magical Wonder....Winner

Colours: Blushing Bride, Gold and Mossy Meadow (sub'd for the Evening Evergreen)

Going to give the AHSC a try this week and a dust collector stamp set: Dove of Hope some love.  Trying JAI's Rochelle's colour combination challenge as well and Voila...a few more cards to add to the Christmas Card stash... Really working on the pattern paper stash of mine... entering this card into Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge.. Embossed the sentiment in gold and silver embossing powder on white...Finished with a lone sequin...as I couldn't figure out where else to sprinkle sequins.. Which colour combination do you prefer..

Christmas Wishes...

Close up to show the silver foil snowflakes on the pattern paper..

Trying Just Add Ink's weekly challenge of Jan's Just Choose Two....really hard to photograph these Christmas cards...hope you can see the red glimmer with the foil snowflakes on the pattern paper and the shimmer of the sparkly red rhinestones on the tree.... Finished with an white embossed sentiment on black cardstock..

Just love this stamp set of my bestie's...and love the red, silver, white Christmas colour combination...

So excited...3 more cards to add to the 100 card goal.

Blackberry Merry Christmas...

Okay...next up..a colour challenge from As You See It Challenge..I have Christmas on the brain...trying out my bestie's new stamp set..I think I NEED this set...Love this colour combination and a great tip that my nestie shared with me...use a "blotch" stamp to colour the tree...so much quicker and saves me having to colour with my Blends.. Stamp and emboss in silver the Merry Christmas sentiment on the blackberry bliss...hmmmm need to decorate the tree with some silver pearls or something..on  it..on my to buy list! Bit of a challenge to photograph the silver mirror foil cardstock in the different layers... :(

Delivering Christmas Cheer...

Over at my bestie's and was playing with the Delivering Cheer stamp set and thought I would give Freshly Made Sketches' Jacquie's sketch challenge a try....still working on my 100 Christmas card goal... another non-traditional colour combination...pulled out some red glimmer paper with basic grey pattern papers...coloured the Christmas tree  with the blob image from the Geared Up Garage set...which was much quicker and extended the life on my blends..Finished with embellishing the tree with these flat metal red dots hiding in my crafty stash. Voila!

Merry Christmas Penguin

Trying another sketch challenge...Freshly Made Sketches...perfect for a faux snowglobe and snowflakes...I went with a non traditional colour scheme versus the usual red and green Christmas colour combination...Not sure whether you can see the sparkly glimmer paper mat behind the grey pattern paper. Loved working with Judy's sketch for inspiration. Will need to try this in different colour schemes and add to my 100 Christmas cards' goal for 2021. That means more fussy cutting and I'm not too sure about that...LOL..Sorry..indoor lighting pictures are not as good as  natural outdoor pictures....

Another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (AHSC) for inspiration....36/100 card goal...more Christmas and the goal is to convert this everyday stamp/die set to a Christmas theme. Merry Snowman

So it's been a while since I've had a chance to try the challenge over at...Sketch Saturday..Tried 4 different combinations and am pleased with the end results....4 more Christmas cards to add to the 100 Goal... I really need to up my ante and make more than 4 of 1 card...maybe I'll try for 8  or 12 would be better...it's quite the stretch..as I need to put a serious dent into my cardmaking supplies.  Also entering this card into Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge.

Merry Christmas Sloth

Total Christmas mode and wanted to try out this new stamp...I love the image however I prefer thicker lines for the images..if that makes any sense...and I stamped and wet embossed the sparkly snowflakes on the background and than used my blending brush with Soft Sky..to try to enhance the snowflakes..it kinda worked...difficult to see.. :(  Used the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to kick start the inspiration and Voila! Hoping to put a serious dent in the pattern paper stash of mine...mind you I would need to make a gazillion cards..LOL. Entering this card into the Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge.
