Happy Hallowe'en Tower of Spookiness....

I've been wanting to try the Tower cards that are the latest interactive cardmaking rage and finally I got a chance ..Checked out the Paper Player's SPOOKY theme challenge and thought I would give it a go...made this card for little humans so I didn't make it too SPOOKY..that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Love my owl punch and was excited to make some Halloween ghoulsters! Couldn't resist the googly eyes..VOILA!! Entering this card in Simon Says Interactive week's theme and Crafty Hazelnuts Pattern Paper Challenge.

Deets: Mostly Stampin Up and pattern papers from crafty stash.

Thanks for dropping by to have a peek.

Happy Thursday! :)

*happy BIRTHDAY....

Definitely on a roll....managed to work with another Watercooler Wednesday's challenge...this time around..Penny's All About Birthdays' challenge...and used a past Sunday Stamps' sketch challenge...thought the double z fold worked perfectly for the sketch. Hauled out my dusty alphabet dies and die cut twice ~ once with the white cardstock and the second time with the mint macaron cardstock for the shadow effect..plus the letters were sturdier with the two layers.. Added some glimmer balloons to pizazz the card abit and Voila! Might just have to make a few more of these cards for the stash!

Deets: All Stampin Up

Thanks for dropping by and having a peek.

Have a lovely evening.

*Congratulations...Watercooler Rocker Recipient..

Yeah, another challenge completed with time to spare...this week's challenge is Gail's Feminine "Anything Goes" from Watercooler Wednesdays Challenges...I needed an engagement card that was simple elegance..and you always need bling to kick the card up a notch. To complete the card..I used the envelope maker with a silver damask print on vellum..Voila!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for the printed vellum and the pattern paper.

EDIT: After a long day....Discovered that I was chosen by Libby as one of the week's Watercooler Rockers.perfect way to end the evening. Thank you Libby for choosing my card and making my day. :)

Thanks for dropping by.

*Merry CHRISTMAS...

                                              Card front with acetate topper...

Card opened into an easel card...

Well warm temperatures and cardmaking don't fare well with me..so I've been behind with my cardmaking..Opted to give the Watercooler Wednesday's Christmas card challenge..with Kath's non traditional colours, and Just Add Ink's challenge~ Just add *A*..Here's my take  on the challenges and I used the snowflake dies from Stampin Up's Seasonal Layers Thinlets..Not sure whether you're able to see the Just Add Ink's *A* challenge ~ acetate layer on the top half of the card with the floating snowflakes...really hard to photograph..I will need to remake this card in my most fave non traditional colour combo of pinks, silvers and kraft. Voila!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for snowman image and Merry Christmas sentiment, dsp and snowflake embossing folder..

EDIT: Penny from the Watercooler Wednesday Design Team picked my card for her Honorable Mention!! Great news to come home to after the back to back work gigs!
Thank you Penny and thanks to the Watercooler Wednesday's Non-Traditional Christmas Colours Challenge. :)

A Belated Happy Canada Day to all and hope you had a chance to participate in your local Canada Day celebrations!

Smiles.

Wacky Watercooler's January Mini Blog Hop..Round 2..

Welcome peeps to the Wacky Watercooler's January mini blog hop..just some inspiration from the new All Occasions and Sale-A-Bration mini catalogs.. to get your wish lists started..

This is a circular hop..so no matter where you start...you'll be able to follow the loop to all the great projects awaiting for you...if you just arrived from Heidi Weaver's  yummy inspiration...have a peek at mine and than at the bottom of the post, you'll be able to click and head over to Kathy Rick's wonderful projects or back to the beginning of the blog. Grab your favourite java, or tea, bring your wish list and a pen and enjoy the 12 hops along the way!

Warning...lots of bling happening here...My first project showcases the Star Blast Edgelits Dies...I wanted a special Thank you card for one of my clients and decided to go all out with a 3D card and decided to make a NEW to me 3D pop up box card..paired the black, silver, whisper white and pool party colour combo with some retired DSP to work with. Thought the exploding stars would be perfect for a New Year's card..The card when flattened measures 5 3/4" by 5 1/2". Used the stars' centres to embellish the card...tossed in some sequins rhinestones and Voila!!

My second project is a special card for someone celebrating her Eighth Birthday. Some of Miss J's favorite things are cats, frogs and the colour purple....colour combo is Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry & Delightful Dijon. So I cut the balloons out of soft suede cardstock with the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits and fussy cut away the outer frame and than punched the balloons out of DSP. The cat is a combination of the Layering Oval Framelits, circle punches and the number 6 from the Large Numbers Framelits for her tail.
The inside is opened to reveal the twist and pop mechanism that I have been wanting to try out..sadly the only frog stamp I could find was from the retired Moving Forward stamp set..Stamped the sentiments and the frogs with Bermuda Bay ink and embellished with DSP. Hope she likes her card.

Front of card and card closed...

Inside of card ~ Opened

Hope you find some inspiration and if you get a chance, please leave some blog love and let me know which is your fave.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a FABULOUS day!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for the silver wood snowflake, the googly eyes and the pattern papers on the front layer and the inside background layer.

All Out Christmas...

Welcome to my very first first blog hop evah… Decided to try a blog hop to see what it’s all about….and Watercooler Wednesdays’ All Out Christmas captured my attention. This hop  runs from November 17th to the 19th.

Doesn’t matter where you start with this blog hop, as it is circular …so you’ll end up where you started from. If you have just arrived from Heidi Weaver’s  fabulous projects…than have a peek of mine and at the bottom of this post, you’re able to click and go either to the next gal ~ Marie Green to see her wonderful projects or back to the beginning of the blog hop. So grab your favourite latte, egg nog, mulled wine, etc and enjoy the 10 hops along the way!

For inspiration for the upcoming Christmas season, I designed a variety of cards with different Christmas colour combos…one not so traditional combo and another definitely a traditional mix. I’m not much of a plain Jane kinda gal and love bling..so be forewarned…lots of glimmer paper happening next and some type of movement.

Created a circle spinner card with the Flurries stamp set with the matching punch.. Went with one of my most fave Christmas colour combos: Pink, White and Silver…..and of course needed to try out the new spinner die and break out the heat gun with the silver embossing powder…the most difficult part about making this card was finding some pennies as they’re a hot commodity now since Canada did away with them several years ago.

Next up..an easel card with a shaker…anyone who knows me..I love love love shaker cards…..so tried out the new to me Christmas sets from the Annual Catalog. Went with a traditional colour combo, added some red glimmer..sequins and seed beads..Voila!

Another interactive card…while on the front it looks pretty simple…opened..stockings hung by the fireplace with care….did you know that the small ticket from the retired ticket punch makes the perfect cuff for the small stockings? Santa's boots are dangling in the fireplace. Love the new stitched dies that I used for the rug's centre to write your message to the recipient and to finish the card.

Hope you've enjoyed the cards and would love some blog love as to which is your favourite of the three. Thanks for dropping by and having a peek.

Make sure to check the other 10 Design Team artists for their inspiration

Season's Greetings.
Sheri :)
