Welcome to my very first first blog hop evah… Decided to try
a blog hop to see what it’s all about….and Watercooler Wednesdays’ All Out Christmas
captured my attention. This hop runs from November 17th
to the 19th.
Doesn’t matter where you start with this blog hop, as it is circular
…so you’ll end up where you started from. If you have just arrived from Heidi Weaver’s fabulous projects…than have a
peek of mine and at the bottom of this post, you’re able to click and go either
to the next gal ~ Marie Green to see her wonderful projects or back to the
beginning of the blog hop. So grab your favourite latte, egg nog, mulled wine, etc and enjoy the 10 hops along the way!
For inspiration for the upcoming Christmas season, I designed a variety of cards with different Christmas colour
combos…one not so traditional combo and another definitely a traditional mix. I’m not much
of a plain Jane kinda gal and love bling..so be forewarned…lots of glimmer
paper happening next and some type of movement.
Created a circle spinner card with the Flurries stamp set
with the matching punch.. Went with one of my most fave Christmas colour
combos: Pink, White and Silver…..and of course needed to try out the new
spinner die and break out the heat gun with the silver embossing powder…the
most difficult part about making this card was finding some pennies as they’re
a hot commodity now since Canada did away with them several years ago.
Next up..an easel card with a shaker…anyone who knows me..I
love love love shaker cards…..so tried out the new to me Christmas sets from
the Annual Catalog. Went with a traditional colour combo, added some red
glimmer..sequins and seed beads..Voila!
Another interactive card…while on the front it looks pretty
simple…opened..stockings hung by the fireplace with care….did you know that the
small ticket from the retired ticket punch makes the perfect cuff for the small
stockings? Santa's boots are dangling in the fireplace. Love the new stitched dies that I used for the rug's centre to write your message to the recipient and to finish the card.
Hope you've enjoyed the cards and would love some blog love as to which is your favourite of the three. Thanks for dropping by and having a peek.
