celebrate...

**card opened ~ inside**

Lots of graduations happening and need another grad card for a gal. It's been eons since I've made a shaker .. so the special element in this card...is the shaker box with the 2019 Grad confetti. Since it's a girly card...we used the gold glimmer for the bling factor. Finished with an owl made from the vintage owl punch. Hope she likes the card. Entering this card into the Cardz 4 Galz Challenge #100 - Party Time ~ Celebrate and the Watercooler Wednesdays' All Occasion Challenge.

Deets: All Stampin Up except for the polka dot pattern paper, the embossing folder and the 2019 Grad confetti.

Thanks for taking the time to drop by and have a peek.

Have an Amazing day!

Revised card front: Added wings to Mr Owly ;)

Needed a special card for a special friend's upcoming 90th Birthday...Used Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for inspiration and Paper Craft Crew's current Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

For something new...Impressions Obsession dies for the gold glimmer glasses for Mr Owly.

*Christmas Owl Angel...

Another Christmas Card ...used Fab Friday's sketch challenge for inspiration..and it's been awhile since I've been able to join the Christmas Card Challenges..well it seems like its been awhile..Started with flipping Fab Friday's sketch vertically...tried out the gold and white colour combination ....so no cats here for me..I substituted with an *owl wannabe angel* with it's vellum wings..Embossed the four quarter panels with one of my most fave snowflake background embossing folder..layered the *owl angel* onto a die cut stitched circle and a  sparkly snowflake ...the wings were punched out of vellum from the stash with a butterfly punch..Voila!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for vellum and Snowflake die cut

Another Guest Designer Appearance with the Watercooler Wednesday artisans...

Back for another Guest Designer appearance for the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge...this time around, Kathy Ricks' Masculine ~ Anything Goes...I think Masculine cards are the most challenging for me for some reason..maybe because there's no bling...no butterflies...and no polka dots...LOL...

Started with masculine..boyish colours: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Smoky Slate and So Saffron combined with my love of shakers...Pulled out the Owl Builder punch and needed a Birthday card for a little one. Add a Happy Birthday shaker balloon with a friendly googly eyed monster... use the Birthday banner from the Hostess set ~ Time of Year..use a white gel pen for the balloon string ....Voila!

A close up of the Balloon Shaker

Hint: Combine the Paper Player's current sketch challenge to make the challenge a bit more interesting...just swapped out the square for the balloon shape.

Now make sure to head over to the Watercooler Wednesday blog to check out the fabulous inspiration from the Design Team artisans. Why not give the challenge a try yourself? Look forward to seeing your interpretation on this week's theme challenge.

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to leave some blog love.

LOVE YOU To the Moon and Back...

A hat trick challenge..well kinda..darn it all...missed the Watercooler Wednesday's sketch challenge deadline..just not enough time in the day on my Mondays; however I am able to enter the Paper Craft Crew's theme Challenge of Love and the Paper Player's Claire's theme challenge: Will you be my Valentine? ...woot woot. Took advantage of Kathy's sketch challenge and needed a couple of Valentine cards to mail out to two favourite peeps. Not having many Valentine Day sets.. made a couple Love Monsters with their googly eyes.. The sketch was great inspiration on the two cards...Voila two Valentine cards and two more off the to make list.

Deets: All Stampin Up except for the polka dot pattern paper strips and the inside sentiment * To the Moon and Back*

Wishing you a Joyful Christmas...

Needed a special Christmas card for an owl aficionado...and used Christmas Card Challenge's photo theme for inspiration...hence the grouping of the 4 owls in a tree shape..than for the WOW factor inside the card...used a window with the reindeer owl peeking out..Love the sparkly red glitter used to emboss the inside sentiment...stamped the snowflakes from one of my fave snowflake sets with Pool Party Ink..Voila!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for the silver wood snowflake, the googly eyes and the pattern papers on the front layer and the inside background layer.

Soft Sky Christmas....it's a WINNER!!

Colour challenges normally take me awhile to figure out; however, this time around with Penny's colour challenge over at Watercooler Wednesdays': Tip Top Taupe, Soft Sky, White and Silver....totally worked for me and this card came together pretty quick for me. I wanted to try this gatefold with the frame and matted image attached to the left and right card panels. Stamped and embossed the ornaments hanging from the branch with silver embossing powder and finished with the ice rhinestones. Just had to add googly eyes to the owl perched on the Tip Top Taupe branch and leaves....stamped snowflakes with Soft Sky from the Serene Snowflakes set..couldn't decide on which Christmas sentiment so I left it blank..Voila!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for googly eyes.

EDIT: Just found out that I won the Watercooler Wednesday's colour challenge. Woot woot...happy dance and high fives. Thanks to the Watercooler Wednesday peeps for a great challenge and for choosing my card as the winner. What a GREAT Tuesday. ;)

Thanks for dropping by and taking a peek at my card.

A Great Big THANKS for Being YOU Box...Honorable Mention it is...

I was asked to make a special WOW card to house several gift cards as a Thank You... so instead of a plain flat card...I made an exploding box...started with Just Add Ink's colour challenge: Calypso Coral, Soft Sky & Dapper Denim..Gave my punches a good work out, embossed and stamped card stocks and threw in some retired designer series paper and ribbon for good measure....Voila!

Deets: All Stampin Up

EDIT: Just found out that I made Just Add Ink's Honorable Mention for the colour challenge! Sweet, great way to start the morning. Thank you to the JAI peeps for choosing my card. :)

It's a boy....

For this baby card's inspiration....another duo challenge: Sunday Stamps' sketch challenge with Watercooler Wednesday's Penny's Tic Tac Toe challenge: Dry Embossing, Die Cut & Any Shade of Green. Plus one  needed to add a shaker box to show off the die cut window frame with the punched owl and his googly eyes. Used Lost Lagoon and Coastal Cabana for the shades of green and love the wood-grain embossing folder! Voila! one baby card completed....

Deets: All Stampin Up except for seed beads in mini shaker box.

Halloween Bats...it's a Winner!

A sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary was the inspiration for this card. Needed a Halloween card and jazzed up the card with the shaker box window..my latest obsession. Wet embossed the trees with black embossing powder and sponged Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Razzleberry for the haunting sun set. Embossed with silver the Dictionary background stamp over the large polka dot embossed Black cardstock...Added some bats and sequins to the shaker box..Voila!!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for the googly eyes and the orange beads.

EDIT: Whoo hoo...Found out that I made one of the top three picks in Create with Connie and Mary's challenge. Totally made my DAY!! Thank you to the CCMC peeps! :)

So I need a Birthday card for my niece as for some reason...the other two I made before were for a 3 year old ....and I was thinking...gee... I don't have any pictures of my niece's 2nd Birthday..How did I miss that?? Than it dawned on me...perhaps I don't have any pictures of her 2nd Birthday because she hasn't turned 2 yet...OMG...How sad am I?? Good thing I managed to figure it out before the end of the month!
Used Create with Connie and Mary's sketch challenge to get me jump started..I flipped the sketch sideways..Colours: Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, So Saffron & Sahara Sand....and Voila!!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for Googly eyes ;)

EDIT: Whoo hoo...I made one of the Create with Connie & Mary Top 3 picks..Happy Dance! Thanks so much for choosing my card and totally making my day! :)
