Paper Craft Connection Go To Sketch Challenge #5

Happy Day Blogging friends!! I hope this finds you and yours well!!

Some of you that regularly visit my blog have seen the Slide album to the right side of my posts. In that "sliding album" I am following the Papercrafts Go To Sketch Book page for page and trying to use each sketch to make a card. It is fun and challenging. Most of the sketches in there, I would never have used if I wouldn't have tried to challenge myself.

This Monday morning, I was doing my morning blogging and reading the Papercrafts Connection blog, when I realized that Papercrafts has Go To Sketch Challenges. Darn it! I could have been submitting all along! Anyway, I am in now, and I want to share my first challenge with you.
This is Sketch Challenge #5. You can view the sketch HERE. All the deets on making an entry can be found HERE.

Viva La Verve Week 3...Right Here...

Goood morning all!! I hope this finds you all well and rested for the day. Today I want to share the card the I entered in the July Viva La Verve week three challenge! In this challenge, an inspiration and a sketch are posted every week. If you play all month long, there is a wonderful VERVE prize at the end of the month. If you have VERVE stamps, then you are going to want to play, because Verve Stamps ROCK!!! You can check out Verve Stamps on any of the links that say VERVE!! FYI VERVE fans, on August 1s
t, Verve will be three years old and to celebrate, there will be a blog hop. Click on the Verve blog hop on the right hand side of the blog and put in your blog address. The only stipulation is that you use VERVE stamps. If you don't have any, there is still time. Verve has the fasting shipping of any stamps company around.
{Geez...if there was a contest for how many times someone could say VERVE, I would totally win!!}
OK....now on to the really fun stuff..
This week we picked out out own inspiration from Themebath.com. I chose the Crayola collection. I mostly chose the Crayola collection because I have these wonderful holographic sticky sheets that my Mom sent me and I
have been wanting to use them. To be honest, holographic sticky sheets really aren't my bag, but I wanted to use them, because my Mom was kind enough to send them, so this is what I came up with.
AND....I also got to use my new Verve Stamp Set, Blue Skies. Which I love. It is one of Verve's new releases. Check it out HERE!!
Here are the supplies that I used on my card:
Card Dimensions: 5.25 x 5.25
Card Stock: Whisper White, Green Galore (Stampin' Up)
Patterned Paper : Holographic Sticky Sheets
Stamps: Blue Skies (Verve)
Ink: Jet Black Stazon

Pretty easy.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a blessed day and you stop again soon!!

What\

On to my creation for the challenge!!
This is a Fun & Cute Style challenge and it is very much out of my comfort zone. Thank goodness I have this little cute QuicKutz Monkey die. It was the first time that I used it. I had to take it out of the package. That made me a little sad. I hate not using products!

Dreamweaver Stencils!!! I love them!!

Hey Blogging friends.... I hope you all are well on your way to having a SUPER day!!

Today I am featuring a card that I am using at Missoula Memory Lane to promote a Dreamweaver Stencil Class. I love this elk stencil and I used some "Crackle" embossing paste, that I had never used before. After the paste dries, it cracks and then I used distress inks with a stencil brush to "fill" in the cracks. Thanks to advice from Hubs on the colors of the elk!!!
The background is hands down, my favorite stencil. The trees. I have been working with this stencil and Memory Mist's, Adirondack Color Wash Ink's for probably one year. This is the best background that I have made is one year. I am SOO excited about it!!!

Here is what I used on my card:
Card Dimensions: 4.25x5.5
Cardstock: Close to Cocoa, Glossy Card Stock (Stampin' Up)
Stencils: Elk, Forest Trees (Dreamweavers Stencils)
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up)
Embossing Pastes: Crackle (Dreamweavers Stencils)
Inks: Terra Cotta (Adirondack Color Wash Ink), Walnut Stain, Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen (Tim Holtz Distress Ink)

Thank you for stopping by today. If you are in the Missoula area, we will be having a Dreamweaver Stencil class at the Missoula Memory Lane very soon!! I will keep you posted!

If you aren't in the Missoula area, please let me know what you think of my card. I love to read your comments!! They really do inspire me!

Have a great day!!
