Uniko Studio Blog Hop! Extra Time Revisited!

Hello All! Welcome to my post for the Uniko Studio Blog Hop! You should have come to me from Gayatri, and your next stop along the way is Nicki!

Well, I've gone all girly with the Extra Time set again - there is just something about this set that makes me want to put it alongside pink! This time I've coordinated it with black - which is very unusual for me to be honest - but I am really pleased with the way this looks!

Today Tomorrow & Always Extra Time £15.95

The stamp set has been used in three places - customised Washi tape, the clocking in card as a main feature stamp, and the sentiment on the little ticket. Just love the way these sentiments can be adapted to whatever situation and type of card.

The papers for this card are Prima (Almanac), with SU! Cardstock, a crochet flower, SU bbrads and small rhinestones. The gorgeous large black grosgrain was wrapped around one of my Christmas presents - so it had to be recycled!! The punch is EK Success.

So thanks for visiting! You should go on and visit my lovely team mate Nicki next - so please pop by and say hello! I really cannot wait to see what everyone has done with the stamp set! Thanks so much for looking and hope you have had an inspiring hop! Here are all the links below.

Merry Christmas!

Hello one and all!

Hope you are all with those you love this festive season! Seeing as I have given these to friends and family, I thought I would share the little easel cards that I made this year - plenty of Copics were used in the making of this production!! The papers are a mix of Cosmo Cricket and Prima, and Dream Street. The stamps are the friendship jar collection from Papertrey Ink. I love these stamps and don't use them often enough!

Have a wonderful Christmas, and see you in 2012. Kx

30 Days!!!!

Hello all! I'm back today with another 'Project Christmas' challenge for Wendy at The Stamp Attic!
This simple project is a quick and easy gift card holder. All of the decoration has been kept really simple to make sure I can reproduce it quickly! This is made from one sheet of  Bazzill French Vanilla 12" x 12" card, so it is so simple to make! The inside card fits snugly inside, with a small pouch to keep the gift card safely tucked in.
The stamps are again the Hero Arts / Sizzix collaboration of stamps and dies. I stamped the images onto the French Vanilla cardstock, then used the dies to cut out the image. I used the fabulous Winter Limited Edition Colours to stamp the images. The trees are 'Iced Spruce' and the snowflakes are 'Festive Berries'. Both of these coordinated perfectly with the colours of the Prima 'North Country' papers. These pads have been popular! The border on the pouch has been edged with a Fiskars border punch, just to give it a bit of decoration.
Here is a close up of the detail. It wasn't until I saw this photo that I realised that the snowflake pattern on the papers closely matched the shape of the snowflake stamp. I love it when a plan comes together!! Lol! The lovely limited edition inks matched the colours of the papers really well too! The mount for the beautiful Cats Life Press sentiment circle has been mounted on a nestie.
Thanks for looking - will be back soon with another project! Kxx

Happy Anniversary Mum & Dad

Hello All! Just wanted to share the card that I made for my parents for their ruby wedding anniversary. It is Paris themed, as they are going to there to celebrate!

The stamp is a Papertrey Ink Stamp, which has been coloured with Copic Markers (Petals : R59, R39, R29, R27 & R24. Flower centre : YR24, YR23, YR21 & YR20). I then rubbed the whole image with old paper distress ink to mute the colours and help blending with the paper. I used the R59 marker to colour my clear rhinestones, so it looked like there were a few rubies on there!

Punches are Martha Stewart, with nesties and glimmer mists to sparkle up the die cuts! The small lock and key embellishments are Prima vintage treasures. I just love these!
I was pleased with the way the vintage seam binding has turned out, as I died it with Copic ink (YR21), colourless blender and then sprayed it with Tattered Angels Creme Rouge glimmer mist. It dried so quickly I was able to use it almost immediately, which was a good thing! You can see the different colours in the picture above!

Thanks for coming to visit! Kxx

It's the little things that matter most....

Hello! Hope you are all well! Well, looking out of the window of my craft hovel, the sun is shining, and my little bit of the world looks lovely today. Shame I have had to be in a conference room all day - but it is making me yearn for my holidays! I had a lovely weekend - including visiting my not too far away joy emporium (The PaperLane) on Saturday to see Clare Rowlands (Molly Blooms) on her demo day. Clare is running a workshop there next week, so I'm going to go to play, along with three good friends, so a day of craft and chatter is in order! Can't blinking wait! Lol!

I have made this card for my lovely friend Wendy (The Stamp Attic), as she is stocking Molly Blooms too! This should be winging it's way to Oxfordshire shortly, after I have got my act together and get more samples sorted! Lol! I love this Hero Art sentiment - thought it would be nice for a thank you card, or a card just to say 'Hi!'. This uses the gorgeous Prima Botanical papers - I have some flowers that match this paper....just can't bring myself to use them though!!
Well, off to continue the creative journey...(so can't take myself seriously saying that!!) Actually, I'm off to do the washing up! Lol! See  you soon!

Best Day Ever...Friday Sketchers Challenge Sketch #100

Happy Bank Holiday! A whole day to play has to be the best day ever! So, I'm doing a few challenges just to get the creative juices flowing! There is no way I'm going out - the weather here is so bad! No point when you can have fun at home!

Here is my entry for the Friday Sketchers Challenge - made with a lovely sketch by Claudia. I've used a Magnolia image - 'Elf Tilda' which I picked up last week from lovely Janice at Sir Stampalot! She is so pretty, and just cried out for GLITTER!! I love the way she looks like she is floating across the card - one blink and she'll be off!
Here is a close up of her lovely shimmery wings - so pretty! The panel behind her was coloured with Pumice Stone Distress Ink - I love the delicate pinky hue which appears when mixed with water - and sprayed over with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. Can't beat a bit of twinkle! Looking at these pictures I've decided no more photos with my compact camera! Need to get the SLR out! Might be able to see the detailing better! Will be back soon - got a monster 9 birthdays and an anniversary in the next 12 days! Best get cracking! Kx

Springtime & Tilda

Hello! Thought I would share this card that I have made this weekend - this is one of the new Tildas that I bought at the NEC a couple of weeks ago. Was in a foul mood when I started making this, as I should have been going to the Ally Pally this weekend - but the travel situation was a nightmare so decided not to go - hence the mood! Still, colouring in and a cuppa sorted me out!

I took the colour theme from the gorgeous papers - they are MME Bella Bella - French Flea Market. They are lovely and soft. I used a sketch from The Sugar Bowl that I was going to use for their challenge last week, and then forgot about, and used a different one from their gallery instead! Still, the results are pretty.

The image is a new Magnolia, bought from the NEC a couple of weeks ago - I think she is so lovely with her wand - she definately needed a bit of sparkle. You can just make it out on her dress and wand.

I've used a stamp that I bought a while ago, and just hadn't inked up at all. Apologies for the photograph - got a bit of a headache, and what looks in focus for me, looks a bit fuzzy around the edges for everyone else! Thats my excuse - I'm sticking to it!
