Thinking of You for CAS(E) this Sketch

So a bit of a stretch for a sketch, but I love stretching a sketch.

Here is my take on this week's CAS(E) his Sketch, where I flipped to landscape.

Went with yellow roses for this card. The color yellow speaks to sun and warmth.  Friendship and optimism.  Who doesn't need all of that during these difficult times.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Debbie

Thank You Daffodil for CAS(E) this Sketch

Created this using the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, replacing balloons with some flowers.

Had not used washi tape in a while, so it was fun to use my supplies along with my latest Club Sursee set from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Summer-ish Challenges

I've been trying to draw inspiration from challenges and have two to share today.  This first one is for TGIF Challenges, and had the element of "summer heat embossing."  Here is the card I created . . .

The stamping of the pineapple was heat embossed, as was the sentiment.  And nothing says summer like a pineapple in sunglasses.

My second cards took inspiration from CAS(E) this Sketch.  Here is the sketch . . .

And here is my card . . .

I do struggle with one layer cards, but I gave it my best shot for this one.  Included some sparkly embossing to make it pop.

I hope you had some time to create today.

I am still working with my Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit, and used the inspiration from CAS(E) this Sketch for this one.

Loving all that "gingerbread-y" paper.   And those cute little epoxy gingerbread men are adorable.

I hope you find some time to create this week.

I used one of my Simon Says Stamp Card Kits to create a little something for CAS(E) this Sketch.  Here is the sketch . . .

And here is my card . . .

My kit from Simon Says Stamp had a great diagonal print that was perfect for this sketch.  Not to mention some nice puffy stickers.

No better day than one where I am able to create.

Two Birds and a Dog for CASE this Sketch and Color Dare Challenges

Happy Wednesday! Appropriate that as I created these cards last night.  As I was creating a card with a dog and a card with some birds, my dog was barking at doves in our backyard.  We have lots of different bird species that visit our feeder, but she has no tolerance for the doves.  She will tolerate the finches, the tufted titmouse, the chickadees, the cardinals, the sparrows . . . but she goes berserk the minute a dove shows.

I have two creations today.   The first is for CASE this Sketch.  Here is the sketch . . .

And here is my card . . .

I couldn't wait to create a card with this bird cage die, which was this month's club set at The Stamps of Life.  Adorable little dies . . . and that "tweet" sentiment!

And then second was the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge.  Here is the color palette . . .

And here is my card . . .

These were some new sets in my collection of CTMH stamps.  I used the five colors across that border stamp, and then matched up the colors with the balloons.   There is an actual break between those two white panels, which has a recessed band of Black Shimmer Trim.  Love some sparkle!

Now, go get inky!

A Couple of Challenge Cards

I have two cards to share today.  First up is a card created for the ShowCASe Your Style.  Their inspiration photo for their color challenge is posted down with my supply list.  Here is my card . . .

I used supplies from my November Stamps of Life Card Kit.

My second card was created using supplies from my March Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.  I used the sketch from CASe this Sketch.

I loved the newsprint paper, although I wished the print had been a little lighter.  It was a nice change to stamp on.

I hope you all find some time to create!

The Stamps of Life - October Kit

It is Kit Kraft Wednesday, that day where I commit to using supplies from one of my monthly kits to create!  This week I pulled out my newest kit from The Stamps of Life (loving this darn kit).  This is the second kit that I've received, and while priced a little higher than some of the other kits out there, it does not disappoint because it comes with more cardstock than some of the other kids I received as well as envelopes.  It also seems to have more embellishments than the typical kits, so I truly believe that you are getting what you pay for!

So I'm sharing two cards with you today, the first for CAS(E) this Sketch (the sketch is noted further below with the supplies).

I just loved that floral paper and felt that this sketch could really showcase the pretty pattern.  I realized after that my only stamping was on the inside of the card . . . proving you can make a card without stamping.

The second card that I'm sharing was created for Seize the Birthday challenge.  The "toppings" challenge this week was to use washi tape, and my kit had the most adorable "hello" washi tape that I wouldn't wait to use.

I used a white panel to build upon, and started with a few rows of that awesome washi tape.  I then added a strip of yellow pattern paper and the dot paper below.  I doubled up the "Beautiful" die so it would pop a bit more off the card, and I stamped and then hand cut those white banners.

Looking forward to creating some additional cards with this kit in the coming days.

As always, I hope you find some time to create!

A True Kit Kraft Wednesday

This was a true Kit Kraft Wednesday.  I've not posted anything creative in over a week, and I've not done anything crafty, so I said . . . whoa!  Get busy or you have to cancel your kits, and therein, a card is born.

This week it is my Studio Calico kit mixed with CASE this Sketch

This card came together nicely once I got rolling.  I started with a full panel of the lined paper, intending to put some circles on the paper, and then decided to cut the circles from the paper and pop it over the black pattern paper.  From there, it all just came together.

Hopefully I will have more time to create as the weekend nears, as I'm feeling a bit craft-deprived.  I hope you have some time to create.

Tag Your It and CAS(E) this Sketch Combo

I decided to play along with the collaborative challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch and Tag You're It by creating a tag and using it on my card.  I played around with some watercolor using some supplies from my Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit to create my tag.

The kit arrived with two Tim Holtz Distress Markers which I used to ink up a dot border stamp and stamp diagonally on some watercolor paper.  I then sprayed and inked it all up a bit. The yellow dots are hard to see in the photo.  The sentiment strip shows those same marker colors, and I masked off the white space on the right side of the tag, but then removed the mask when spraying it down so it wasn't so stark.

And then I added my tag to a card using some paper from my kit.

Hope you find some time to create today!
