This setting is on a small table in the kitchen hallway. The cup and saucer on the left is made by Adderely, with a crest and #1789. To me there is just something so sweet about the little purple violets. The demitasse on the right is a made in Japan. The little plate that says mother was given to me by our eldest daughter and it is a Taylor & Kent and named Elizabethan.
A nice big thank you to Martha and Terri for hosting this Teacup Tuesday event. You can find them and all of the other great places to see lots of lovely teacup treasures by clicking on the teacup on my sidebar.
I'm sorry I took only two pictures of this little gift that I made for a lady at church, she is another "purple lover". In the second picture you can see little papers with words such as Grace, Blessings, Answered Prayers, etc. The stopper is a recycled cork with a rose that I made out of polymer clay stuck in the top. I used a very old bottle that has a slight tint of lavender color to it.
Now that VBS is behind me I can finish a few projects that have been waiting on me. Hopefully I will have some pictures to share soon.

ReplyDeleteHello :) These are some lovely cups you've shown us this week! I can't believe you found teacups at Victoria Secret! Love your sweet little violet set, it's so charming! My daughters favorite color is purple :)
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy "Tea" Tuesday!
Warmest hugs, Brenda
I didn't know Victoria's Secret sold anything but lingerie! The tea cups are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the purple bottle you made for the lady at church. But I bet you knew I'd like it, too!!
Such pretty tea cups and saucers and what a lovely gift you made!!

Oh yes, I see that you have almost the very same cup as mine. I bet that Duchess China Co. (the one that made mine) made the cups for Victoria Secrets too. Must have. Also, your top cup matches my tea pot for today!
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say, I love your tea cups!
Hugs,
Terri
Just lovely Werna, you just never know where you will find something beautiful and special.
ReplyDeleteOh that little bottle you made for your friend is so special and if she loves purple well I would say you have made her day!
Have a wonderful week...

Victoria's Secret! Who knew?! Your cups are all lovely especially the butterfly one, no the pansy one, no the thin one, no the Mother one.. I give up, they are ALL beautiful! Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi: I just had to comment on your beautiful tea cups. I think the one that says Mother is my favorite. What a precious gift from you daughter. Thank you so much for sharing these treasures. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteYour teacups are all lovely. I don't shop at Victoria's Secret, but I would if they sold those teacups again. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty gift you made for your friend.
