My Apron Swap Apron

This ADORABLE apron came in the mail last week and I was absolutely blown away!!! It was created by the amazing Sarah Z. and this apron couldn't be more fitting to my personality!!! You can't really tell, but the fabrics are seersucker, which gives this a great texture. I am in love with cherries, red gingham, all things green, so Sarah - YOU ROCK. Ironically, I just purchased a bunch of cherry fabric very similar to this, so that's funny to me.

Isn't this apron cute? Doesn't it make you want to go into the kitchen and make some jam?! Too bad I'm feeling lazy...

WHEW! It's Done!

It's DONE and in the MAIL! Yahoo, baby! And, as you can guess, my favorite part about the apron is the little rhinestone button! Every girl should feel like a bejeweled queen in the kitchen!!!

And my apron comes complete with a matching headband as mentioned before.

Swap Is Closed

I've got all names assigned out now. If you missed this swap, let me know and maybe I'll have some stragglers to pair you up with. Otherwise, make an apron anyway! You can't have too many aprons! You can keep it and post your photos with us. Maybe we can do another swap sometime in the summer.

HAVE FUN and don't forget to join the Flickr group (on sidebar) and post your photos!!!

Let The Swappin' Begin!

Thanks (you know who you are) for joining in the fun!! I just finished the last of the emails (whew!) and everybody has been assigned! I still need info from Allison, Brynn, and Jen. If you wouldn't mind shooting me an email, I'll send you one back with your swapping buddy.

If you still want to join in the swap, send me an email and I'll try to pair you up with someone else if I can.

Feel free to send me pictures of your creations - nobody knows who has their own name (except myself, of course, silly) so it won't matter if we see apron pictures! I'm DYING to see what everyone else comes up with!

HERE is the link to get to the Apron Swap Details. Have Fun!

Apron Swap Anyone?

What better way to ring in Spring than to have a new, hand made apron? This is such a fun thing to do because you get to buy and sew cute fabric, AND you're going to get to know someone wonderful you never knew - so come join in the fun! Read the criteria below and then email me if you're interested. (click on my email link on sidebar to the right)

Also, your aprons do NOT need to be fancy or frilly. Just be sure to throw in your personality and create something you'd love for yourself.

So here are the rules:

1.) Apron needs to have a "Spring" theme - standard adult sized
2.) Apron needs at least 1 pocket - can be a half apron or full, you decide
3.) Apron MUST be hand-made, whether you purchase a hand-made one or do it yourself
4.) Don't forget to pre-wash all fabric before you sew
5.) Aprons MUST be in the mail by March 4th (one month from next Monday)
6.) Include a funny story about yourself or something special about you, and a recipe

Anything else you want to add is up to you. Email me your name, address, and blog if you have one and anything else you need your partner to know about like if you HATE the color pink or things like that. I'll put a list together and you will not have the same person who has your name, so it will all be a surprise.

Tell EVERYONE you know because the more, the better!

I'll have a finished list one week from today - MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH.

Apron photos above are from Anthropologie. For great ideas, check out my Aprons links to help inspire your creativity.
