Good morning Christina:
We
accept donations right up to the few days before, but it's beneficial to have a
week or two for publicity purposes. We number each item, photograph each one,
set a minimum bid, and that helps show it to more bidders. There are less than
100 who actually come to the event.
Thanks
so much for supporting our BCRF efforts each year. This year the evening is
being dedicated to the memory of Cathey. She underscores the reason why we do
this. It is just wrong that a 42-year-old woman with an 18-month-old son has
dyed from this disease.
Thanks
again.

Thank you Christina for this information.
I stitched two designs for this event.
One of the patterns I stitched was created by Cathey herself. Cathey did see the finished design and commented on my blog.

Thanks Christina ,
Just wondering if you or anyone else will be running this again next year as I would like to do something in Catheys' memory and I'm sure others would too , but it might need more publicising . I am happy to post on my blog and get others to do the same if you could let me know your plans ,
Thank you
