Merry Christmas Cheer Card

Hello, friends! It's Nancy here with you today!

I'm happy to be here to share another card I created, using two dies from
the wonderful 2019 Calligraphic Christmas Release.
Both of these dies are so lovely, and the perfect addition to all our Christmas craft projects!

Here's the card I made:

I began with a white cardstock card base,
and added a layer of the fun designer paper.
Then I chose some fun glitter cardstock in matching colours
for the die-cut words.

I positioned the sparkly words onto a white die-cut oval.
I then matted that onto a glittery green oval.
The green oval was then mounted to the center of the card front with foam tape.
Here's a close-up look at the beautiful words:

Finally, I added a white grosgrain ribbon bow.
It's such a fun and cheerful card!

Flourished Holly and Cheers ~ A Christmas Mug!

Quietfire Design 2019 Calligraphic Christmas Bundle of metal dies / Christmas Mug using vinyl

Hello Kim here again! Guess what today is? Two months until Christmas! I know I should be posting something spooky, but honestly only 2 more months!

I am usually not so organized with my Christmas to do list, so whenever I can get a head start on a few projects...I’m all in. This year I plan on making more of these fun festive mugs! They are quick, fun and look FAB...if I must say so myself!

The latest seasonal die release from Elizabeth Craft Designs & Quietfire Design is perfectly timed for all of your Christmas projects...and mine!

I was not sure how steel dies would work with vinyl as I have only ever cut vinyl with my Cricut Explore. I squealed when the dies cut like butter!

For my mugs, I used the new Cheers and Flourished Holly dies! They are perfect as a “team” on my Christmas mugs. I built the layers of the holly on a non-stick surface and then moved it as one piece onto the mug, leaving enough room for the “Cheers” sentiment.

Easy, peasy...DONE! I can see adding some hot chocolate and candy canes into the mug, fill it with candy or maybe a coffee gift card. A great gift for someone on your list and easy to make multiples!

Peace on Earth

Hello, friends! It's Nancy here with you today!

I'm excited to share a card I created, using the brand new Peace on Earth die.
This lovely die is part of the wonderful 2019 Calligraphic Christmas Release.
It is such a pretty die!
It made me think of clouds, so I placed it in the sky above a Village.

Here's the card I made:

I began by forming a white cardstock card base.
I cut a piece of blue/white designer paper the same size as the card front.
I cut a piece of the Winter Village paper to fit the bottom portion of the card.
Next, I cut the die out of the top portion of the blue/white paper.
I also cut a second die, as well as some of the star shapes, out of white cardstock.

Then I adhered the blue/white piece to the front of the card base.
I adhered the white die-cut piece into the opening of the blue/white,
then adhered the blue/white die-cut piece in place on top of the white one.
Having the extra white die-cut under the blue/white one adds some nice dimension,
and pops the die up very nicely.

Next, I adhered the Winter Village piece to the bottom of the blue/white paper.
I also adhered the three white cardstock stars in place.
I covered the white stars, and the stars in the die-cut, with Stickles.

Finally, I added a ribbon bow to the top of the Winter Village piece.
Here's a final look at the finished card.

Christmas Cheer Photo Cards

Hi Connie Nichol here today with a couple of quick cards using the new Calligraphic Christmas dies from Suzanne Cannon.  These are simply stunning dies, perfect for all sorts of quick Christmas cards, home decor and scrapbook layouts.  I love that you can often mix and match them with each other and previously released Suzanne Cannon dies.

If you've seen some of my other blog posts, you'll know I'm rather fond of creating cards that feature a 4x6 photo as a base.  It's so fast and easy!  Take any winter or Christmas photo, add a Quietfire Design die and put it onto a card base.  It can be as simple as that, or you can decorate a bit more if you have the time and desire.

These cards feature the Cheer(s) die , the Merry Christmas 3 die and the stars from the Peace on Earth die.  The photos are from Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada in February of last year, but hey, they look Christmassy.  Go check out the new Christmas collection and have fun creating!

Falalalala

Hi, to all my crafting friends!

I have the pleasure to share this Christmas themed card with you using the brand new A Way With Words 2019 Calligraphic Christmas Falalalala dies by Suzanne Cannon.

The card base is made out of white heavy cardstock. The background is made out of washi tape put on a sheet of white cardstock.

To make the Falalala stand out more, I cut it twice. Once using black cardstock and once using white cardstock.

I took the Falalalala from the black cut and glued it onto the washi tape decorated background. Then I took the inlets from the white cut and put that into the "wholes" of the black cut - like a puzzle.

Et voilá - now you have the finished card.

You can choose any colors and backgrounds and can mix and match just as your little heart desires.

 Have a happy crafting week!
Kora
