Oh ..the weather ..

.. was not too bad , but now has

ramped up to a full blown Blizzard!

 A great day for a zoom meeting 

and some stitching! 

My workspace is wonderfully tidy!

I have to clear the table when

I am quilting a top and it is always fun to 

start in a clean area !

Of course if I don't everything ends

up on the floor! 

After a few videos and some 

practice, I am getting more 

confident with my free motion work. 

Every quilt is a learning experience 

in pin placement tho. The quilting 

pattern never reveals itself till the 

piece is under the needle so I think

I will just become one with my 

pins forever!

There is some improvement showing

so that is good!

Yes, that is Berries and Cream all 

quilted up!! 

It was fun and has 

motivated me to get another quilt

layered up! (My great nephew also 

needs a grad quilt so there is that!?!)

Block chain is next up! 

My weekly 

list is going to have a 

lot of " Make binding!"

These two are waiting!

This week's To Do list 

and last weeks completions!! :

                    1. quilt small pink coin -Quilted! Now bind!

                     2. Add borders to the scrap lozenge quilt - 

                          Hatchet ( carry over) Still waiting 

                    3. Organize 1/2 square projects Getting there!

                    4. Trim and bind Stretched Stars Done like dinner!

                        ( and find a better name, maybe Birthday Wishes)

                    5. Layer a few flimsies , drop 1 to long armer

                        Layered 3, but no to long armer. 

               6. Keep on scrapping! Making great progress!

                

                    7. Bind two! 

Needed some brain rest , so I 

turned to the crumb box

 and stitched up some strips .

 

It is very relaxing

and seems to be helping the 

fella marooned on Mars too!

(I love a good movie with hope!)

Berries and Cream!

"Berries and Cream"

 The blue and cream square quilt really came 

together! I am calling it 

 "Berries and Cream" since it reminds me 

of jumbo BC berries with lots of 

whipped cream in a bowl.  

 It is finishing up as a top at 82" x 92".

   It was inspired by

 "Naturally Blue " created by Cheryl Filby for APQ. 

I, of course, made almost everything possible 

 out of scraps and added some rows and left out others.

 

It turned out great .  There are 15 extra blocks that 

can be used for a matching child's quilt.
