I Am Thinking of You with Mark's Finest Papers

Welcome Back. Today's card was created with Mark's Finest Papers set Marsh Silhouettes Stamp Set . I used a technique that one of my favorite stampers uses. Theresa, aka Crafting the Web, uses the Sponging Technique quite often. Last year, when I saw this project she did , WOWEE!!!   So I used her project "Peaceful Savannah" to create my own serene scene.   Instead of sponging I used my Tim Holtz felt blender and my colorbox stamp pads in place of her momento stamp pads.   Doesn't quite pack the same punch, but that's okay!      I'm quite happy with how the muted tones turned out. And this stamp set was perfect for a peaceful scene.      I ended up giving this card to my boyfriend, and he loved it. :)     I hope you like it too. This technique is great and I'm sure to be creating with it once again because I loved how it turned out. What do you think? Have...

Mark's Finest Papers - Red and Green #137

Today's challenge was to make a Christmas card using red and green. This is what I came up with. I hope you like. :) I'm usually a Grinch. I don't care for making holiday cards that much, but this floral image from the Mark's Finest Papers Amaryllis Definition set spoke to me and seemed to work well with this single layer card. You can layer it! I've colored it here with my Copic Markers to add depth and interest. Cheers!

Mark's Finest Papers - You've got Style!

I just love this feminine set from Mark's Finest Papers. It is the You've Got Style set and it is SO much fun. I was just having a play and not really concerned with following a sketch, but it turned out pretty cute anyways. I background stamped with the shoes offered in this set and colored them with my copic sketch markers. I stamped the boot and a handbag and popped them off with pop dots and stuck them on. A pretty simple card, but pretty cute! ;) I hope you like it. Cheers!

No Red or Green - Mark's Finest Papers #136

This week's challenge at Speedy Fox & Friends was to make a traditional holiday card not using red or green. So I chose blue and gold and used the ivy from the Ivy and Blossoms set. Guess I'm just a Scrooge because holiday cards are probably the least favorite type of cards for me to make. But this was fun. I really like how the gold embossing shows up on the Chipped Sapphire Distress Stain. And I got to use the rest of my pretty blue and gold fine paper! What do you think?
