In the New English TRANSLATION(NOT Interpretation), Pro Multis is "For Many", once again. The US Conference of Catholic Bishops(UCCB) make this available on their Website.

The Language is familiar to me from when certain of the Mass was offered in English. Other Parts will look familiar & represent accurate TRANSLATION.

Halloween Conversations At AOH Division 2-Babylon, LI, NY

Conversations included, NOT THESE 2 Gentlemen, but more serious things such as the Inclusions of Latin in The Mass, something which The Rebels of Vatican II, didn't wish to address. The place, where these 2 Gentlemen, conducted their torturous dialogues, is being dismantled:


Peggy, one of the Students of The Gerry Tobin Irish Language School, sings at Funeral Masses. She asked me if I had witnessed a Latin Mass, so I answered in the affirmative. I mentioned that where I go to Mass on Occasion, that certain prayers such as the "Sanctus" are sung in Latin, as well as the "Agnus Dei", The "Kyrie"(Greek) and the Communion Antiphon;


To her this is a Good thing, as Latin was NEVER MEANT, by Vatican II, to go the way of Shea Stadium. In short, Latin was to be preserved in The Mass, in various Prayers such as the "Pater Noster", The "Credo", amongst other things;


Latin is The Universal Language of The Church-it MUST be Preserved;

On This Date Last Year-Motu Proprio

Pope Benedict XVI, despite A-Rod's Attempts to upstage him(LOL), issued a Motu Proprio, allowing ANY Latin Rite Priest to celebrate The Traditional Latin Mass. This took effect on 09/14/07:

In the RC Diocese of Brooklyn, especially in Queens, the site is at St John's Cemetery Chapel, at 80th Street, off Metropolitan Avenue, on Sundays at 9:00AM. The Redoubtable Padre, Fr Joseph Wilson, now assigned to St Margaret's Church on 80th Street, is one of Two Offerers of The Holy Sacrifice Of The Mass. Msgr Walter Murphy, he who once held sway over the area of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, is the Other Offerer;

I gotta get back there, Sunday;

WHAT The Traditional Latin Mass Or Novus Ordo Mass Ad Orientum Will Do

The Priest Is facing East. He's NOT Turning his back to you, but leading you in "The Holy Sacrifice Of The Mass":

It is NOT a Group Meal. To me, a Pizza and Beer Party, is a Group Meal. Your Attention is to God. For you see, The Sacrificing Priesthood means that Fr.Xavier or Msgr Feirstein, are NOT the Stars Of The Mass, for Christ is. He is Offering up Christ for the remission and expiation of sins. The Host, unspotted, in Latin(Hostia), means victim, hence Christ is Victim, offered in Sacrifice, which is the case of the Offertory;

The Mystery Of Faith, is Transubstantiation, where by the Host and Wine, become the Body And Blood Of Christ, with only the Sensible Qualities or "Accidents", remaining;

People do kneel to receive, on the tongue, The Most Holy Sacrament Of The Altar;

In Ad Orientum, you know you're a part of something CATHOLIC;

No Haugen or Haas Muzak, here;

Divine Mercy Sunday & K of C Super Weekend



It was a Marathon:

It had nothing to do with The Maras, who control the NFL NY Giants(LOL,LOL);

The 2nd Sunday Of Easter is also Divine Mercy Sunday, which was Promulgated a few years ago by Pope John Paul II;

This was a Veritable "Super Sunday" in Our Lady Of Mercy Parish in Forest Hills, on Kessel Street, between 70 & 71 Avenues, as Msgr Sherman Council #5103, known in Forest Hills as the Sponsor of The K of C Free Throw, for Forest Hills, Glendale, East Glendale, Middle Village & Vicinity, ran a Membership Drive & the #s look promising;

The Pastor, Msgr John Mc Gurl, native to Forest Hills, was encouraging us to come over to recruit Knights Of Columbus in his Parish. He's also seeking to take his 3rd Degree;

I was part of the Recruitment Contingent, along with other Council Officers & Past Grand Knights;

One Highlight of The Day was The Phillipino Mass & Party after the Mass. There was a Film on Divine Mercy in a Practical Sense on how the People in The Phillipines take care of their Elderly. There's a closeness Of Family in Filipino Society;

BTW, the Knights Of Columbus, are very strong in The Phillipines, since 1905;

On Healing & Curing, was a Homily for the 6PM Mass, as Fr Christopher from Nigeria, preached that Healing is not the same thing as Curing, as Curing is Medical & Healing is Spiritual Peace;

& some more people inquired about the Knights Of Columbus, after that Mass. It was a Good Day;

It had been 11 Years since the Last Membership Drive in OLM;

& it looks like we'll have Some More Workers For The Harvest;

Holy Week-A Look Ahead & St Patrick's Day

Yesterday, in Both The Archdiocese Of New York & The RC Diocese of Brooklyn, was the Celebration(Liturgically) of St Patrick's Day. I will say that the Corned Beef On Rye was Delicious & I've had enough beer:

Today(Liturgically) is St Joseph's Day;

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday, also called Passion Sunday;

Monday, though it is not Liturgically Celebrated, is St Patrick's Day, as this year it's Monday Of Holy Week, as Lent nears its' end, beginning Holy Thursday with The Easter Triduum, which continues into The Easter Vigil of Holy Saturday Evening & Easter Sunday, which is Properly-Called The Resurrection Of The Christ, while Easter is an old English term for Spring;

As my friend mentioned to me last year, while St Patrick's Day in '08 may not be celebrated LITURGICALLY, it's a Great Day to get "Lit", though by Friday, which is Good Friday, no one I know of, will be getting "Lit Up";

I do remember from the 1960s', that Passion Sunday was the Week Before Palm Sunday & readings of The Passion Of The Christ were read on that Sunday, of the Anticipation of His Death & Resurrection. Palm Sunday was the Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem of Jesus, plus the Distribution of Palm & Blessings;

Now, with the Novus Ordo of The Missalae Romanum of 1970, Passion Sunday & Palm Sunday became one Sunday of Very Long Masses & Readings & Mobs of People, who don't normally come to Mass, where the Readings of Old Testament, New Testament & Gospels, are long Ocassions, & more about the Actions of Holy Thursday & Good Friday;

I liked The Traditional Order, better, where Passion Sunday & Palm Sunday were the Two Sundays & Preached what was at hand, as in the current format, the same readings are done on Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday & Good Friday, as I believe that the sheer volume of repetition, turns people away from Church;

In regards to the NY St Patrick's Day Parade Committee-Just because Ireland, now in The Post-Christian, Multicultural Era, has its' Dublin Parade on the 17th of March, which doesn't really celebrate Ireland's Apostle Of Faith, do we have to follow their example-IT IS HOLY WEEK, REMEMBER, NOT Mardi Gras;

According To Cardinal Arinze Of The Congregation For Divine Worship

The Translation of "Pro Multis" is "For Many", as in Latin, "For All" is said "Pro Omnibus":

The Christ Redeemed ALL Mankind with His Death And Resurrection, but "For Many" denotes Believers(The Faithful), who assist At Mass and Receive The Most Holy Sacrament Of The Altar, in The Holy Eucharist, under the Appearance Of Bread and Wine;

This case of Redemption is why "For All" & not "For Many" is used, though only The Faithful may approach The Eucharist. The use of "For All" does give the Impression that anyone can receive the Eucharist, including Heretics, Schismatics and Apostates, Couples In The Practice Of Concubinage(Living Outside Of The Sacrament Of Matrimony In a Sexual Relationship), Political Dignitaries who assist by passing Laws In Support Of Abortion and Euthanasia, and visiting Protestants, who mistake the Local Catholic Church as Lutheran or Anglican;

Pro Multis Is NOT Por Todos Or For All

"Pro Multis" translates in Latin to English as "For Many". "Pro Multis" is "Por Muchos" in translation from Latin to Spanish:

So WHY are we seeing the interpretations of "For All" & "Por Todos", when "Pro Multis" does not translate that way?

Having been to a Traditional Latin Mass, I know what's what & "Omni" is "All";

Spanish is a language derived from Latin;

Having attended a Spanish Language Mass in Queens, I realize just how close this is to Latin. Even The Phrased Responses are much-closer to the Latin in Translation. "Et Cum Spiritu Tuo" in Spanish is "Y Con Tu Spirito", meaning "And With Thy Spirit", NOT "And Also With You";

Christ's Words Of Institution Of The Eucharist are clear in that NOT all are faithful. ONLY The Faithful may receive His Body & Blood. Apostates & Heretics cannot receive The Body & Blood Of Christ, as well as those in Serious Sin. It is NOT "For All";

How many of the Translators are just Interpreters with a certain Agenda?

"It Belongs There"

The Tabernacle of The Lord was moved to the Centre of The Altar @ St Margaret's Church. This is a Beautiful Sight To See:

The Story of The Samaritan Woman, who looked for the "Living Water" Of Christ, who had 5 Prior Husbands, was preached yesterday;

The Priest @ this Novus Ordo Mass, also incensed the Altar, which is just so right to do, as prayers rise up to God, so sweetly;

The Ordinary Rite of The Mass, can be so-reverently Offered;

The Priest is also one who offers the Traditional Latin Mass @ St John's Cemetery Chapel on Sundays;

His Homilies are memorable;

Fr Joseph F Wilson, who I have googled numerous times, was the Priest, who Offered The Holy Sacrifice Of The Mass;

Immediate Changes Occuring When The Mass Was Radically-Changed

ATTENDANCE took something of a drop. So did the # of Masses in a Parish Schedule:

In 1964, there existed at St Sylvester-City Line, Brooklyn, a total of 10 Masses on Sunday, alone, starting at 6:00AM & continuing until the 1:00PM Mass. 8 were in the Church & the 9:00AM Adults Mass was in the School Hall, as well as the other 10:00AM Mass. On Holy Days of Obligation, the Masses ran from 6:00AM to 12:00Noon, in the Church, ONLY. There was no Vigil Mass on The Eve Of The Holy Day, in those days;

It is 2008 & the demographics of that Parish, have changed, with much of the area being Latino & Guyanese-Indian. Currently, the Sunday Mass Schedule is Saturday @ 5:00PM(Vigil), & Sundays @ 8:00AM, 10:00AM & 12:00Noon(Spanish), for a Total of 4 Masses, Offered only in the Church, & sparse crowds, except at 12:00Noon in Spanish;

@ one time, you could set your watch to a Catholic Mass Schedule-this is not the case, at present. That the Total Sunday Mass Schedule @ St Sylvester-City Line, is the size of what the Daily Mass Schedule was in 1962, is astonishing, as on the Daily Mass Schedule, there were Masses Offered at 6:00AM, 7:00AM, 8:00AM & 9:00AM;

By 1970, there was a Saturday Vigil Mass @ 7:30PM, & 7:00AM, 8:00AM, 9:00AM, 10:00AM, 11:00AM & 12:30PM;

From there, it would drop to 6 Masses in 1982. Now there are ONLY 4;

Starting in 1982, the Parish would get a Spanish-Language Mass, despite the still heavily-Italian Population. By 1983, the Area practically changed over the Winter;

One wonders if both a Progressive Pastor, whose vision was of Changing Demographics & the Spanish Language Mass, contributed to the fleeing of much of the area's population, leading to a financially-poorer parish;

In 1966, one could say it was the beginning of the "Era Of Bad Chatechetics", as 1st Graders in that year were switched from the Tried & True Baltimore Catechism, over to Books without an emphasis on Doctrine, which Prior 1st Graders had to learn in order to receive their 1st Holy Communion. Communions in this era, moved into 2nd Grade, instead. The Holy Sacrifice Of The Mass, was in English, except for Offertory & Consecration, as per the Missale Romanum of 1965. With less emphasis on Doctrine, there was a corresponding de-emphasis on Sin. By 1967, in September of that year, the 9:00AM Children's Mass was discontinued, with Emphasis on Family Celebration of Mass, together. There was even a "Folk Mass", in '67, or the beginning of the "Era Of Bad Liturgical Music", much of which could be better-suited for sing alongs in coffee houses in Greenwich Village;

The 1960s', by the end of Vatican II, were a mess, as Schoolchildren were led away from learning Doctrine. Eventually, those children grew up & didn't bother with the Mass, from all this Post-council confusion which arose;

The Novus Ordo Mass led to a lot of indifference, & people didn't feel obligated by it at all. The Emphasis was seemingly, on the Populi & NOT on orienting towards God;

The crowd at the 11:00AM Mass was down;

Time For a Return to Doctrine & The Reform of the "Reform" is at hand. & The Traditional Mass is making a huge comeback;

"Communion Should Be Received On The Tongue, NOT In The Hand"

That was the verdict from an Extraordinary Minister Of The Eucharist, as we spoke today. She's a Nurse, from The Emerald Isle, now also known as "The Silicon Isle Of The European Union":

From what she has seen, for instance with various Carribean Women, who take The Consecrated Host & try putting it in a handbag, to take home for some Black Magic Ceremony, or trying to give it to a child who has not attained the age of reason, as this is as a Result of Communion In The Hand;

BTW, she also favors kneeling @ the Altar Rail;

To which I Say "Amen";

& The Most-Prosperous Ireland, has all the faith of a horse. Catholic Churches are EMPTY of Irish. Who's saving The Church in Ireland, are Immigrant Poles. You heard me correctly-Poles, as in P J P II Poles. That's also the case across The Irish Sea in England;

On The Sunday Following A Traditional Latin Mass,

I sometimes find myself dreading my return to a Liturgy with Naturalistic, Bad Liturgical Music. It's often the kind of music that makes you want to run up to the Choir Loft in order to take an axe, in order to smash the organ, especially if the organist is Suzyn Waldman, singing her rendition of "Oh My Goodness Gracious, Roger Clemens Is In George's Bawx". I believe that you get my drift, especially in regards to the Novus Ordo Mass, The current Mass doesn't feel like a real Mass, unlike The Traditional Latin Mass which is Truly-Catholic & has that Catholic Feel to it. For I once viewed a Joint Lutheran-Anglican Eucharistic Service on CBS, & it looked identical to the Novus Ordo Mass in style. The current Mass, sadly, is Protestant in style. This Morning's Intellectual Discourse AKA The Traditional Latin Mass

As Dear Valerie, a Survivor of "Boston 212" put it, in regards to "Anima Mea", she knows that the "International Committee On English Language In The Liturgy" (ICEL), blew it when the English Interpretation read "I Shall Be Healed" & NOT "My Soul Shall Be Healed." Something is missing there in the Interpretation of "Domine Non Sum Dignus", where "Anima Mea", became "I Shall Be Healed" NOT "My Soul Shall Be Healed". Anima is the Latin Word for Soul:

Valerie stated that "I Shall Be Healed" can be an unrealistic expectation. As the Actual Latin says "Anima" or Soul, the Gang @ ICEL decided to give it a whole new, perhaps humanistic, meaning;

& you wonder WHY I will attend a Latin Mass, as nothing is corrupted to someone's agenda. Humanity cannot exist with out man or woman, having a soul. It's what separates us from being mere animals. Souls are animated by Grace;

As To WHY The Novus Ordo Mass Was Reprinted

Dignum Et Justum Est(It Is Right & Just):

The Gang at the ICEL only interpreted the Latin. They did NOT translate the Latin To English;

Like "Et Cum Spiritu Tuo", which is "And With Thy Spirit", NOT the loose interpretation "And Also With You", which makes for a wholly-natural instead of Spiritual Prayer;

Those in the ICEL assume that everybody out there, is some kind of dummy & that they know better;

In The Confetior in The Novus Ordo Mass, the words "Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Maxima Culpa". are left out in the English INTERPRETATION;

Multis is MANY, not all. For The Eucharist is for The Many, as in Believers. For All, makes it sound like anybody in that Church, can receive Holy Communion, including Protestants, whose belief in The Eucharist is either as a Symbol or Consubstantiation(Where Bread & Wine Co-Exist With The Body & Blood Of Christ), & not in Transubstantiation, or that The Victim under The Appearances Of Bread & Wine, do become The Body & Blood Of Christ. All was not used By Christ In The Last Supper;

The ICEL-NOT Translators but Interpreters With A Certain Agenda-Butchers;

It Was A Marvellous Homily About The Three Wisen Men

Today Is The Feast Within Christmas called Epiphany, which means revelation. This is when three men brought gifts to the Christ Child of Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh. None of these men were named Radomski, McNamee & Clemens, for those 3 would leave the forementioned gifts plus Deca Durbolin & Winstrol plus Syringes:

I'm Looking Forward To Eastern Orthodox New Years Day-Or December 45th

In case you may not know, according to the Orthodox Churches, it's STILL 2007. Their Calendar reads December 31st on January 13th(Or December 44th, as per a Gag that Peter N, from "Peter's Red Sox Forever" came up with in celebration of my Birthday Last Year, which is on December 45th or January 14th):

On the Orthodox New Years Eve, I will be attending a Tridentine Latin Mass @ St John's Chapel @ 80th Street & Metropolitan Avenue, which I did on my Birthday, January 14th, '07, though I did attend that Mass in St Agnes Church on East 43rd Street, between Lexington & 3rd Avenues in Manhattan, which allowed me to pick up on Latin, where I left off, in 1965:
