The Great Walk Of 11/13/10

We have a Society known for Vanity. Men(& Some Women) like to sculpt their bodies in order to show off their bodies for all of their muscles.
We also have a sedentary society, which for whatever reason, does not understand the primary mode of transportation. At one time, we did not have fancy vehicles to transport ourselves around in.
So how did we get around? I did something yesterday traversing across the NYC Boroughs of Queens, Brooklyn & Manhattan which was not sedentary in the least.
Jesus Christ & The Apostles used this mode of Transportation all or most of the time. For the 1st Time in my life, I went & did Long Distance Walking, over streets & The Williamsburgh Bridge.
Would I do this again? I would do it. It was the best exercise in my life in that I got to see my city from the angle of a mere pedestrian. I traversed the City of New York, from Western Queens through Northern Brooklyn, and across the East River through the Lower East Side into the West Side along 14th Street for a short audition for a short film. Then it was a walk to St. Francis of Assisi RC Church for The Sacrament of Penance.
My thanks to Daniel Torres for the $2.25 subway fare to allow me to use the subway to Woodhaven Blvd & Jamaica Avenue, from which I walked another 7 blocks to home.
I do thank God for this most unique journey & the realization that a Journey starts with a single step. I traversed about 12 miles on foot.
Walking is the best exercise imaginable as one can do a lot of thinking & meditating as well as building up one's cardiovascular capabilities. One needs not sculpt and torturing oneself.
One only needs to begin with a single step.

On Acupuncture-It Works, Nicely

There's a thing I have for Acupuncture-it's both relaxing & energizing:

I enjoyed a treatment of Acupuncture, today, @ 191-193 Canal Street in Chinatown. It's offered for free by St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center, at the American Legion Hall, on the 2nd Floor, amidst photos of Chinese American Veterans of various wars;

Several folding chairs are on the floor. You sign in & receive an alcohol swab, and dab it on your ears. The acupuncturist then places 5 needles in each ear. You are offered what is called ''Sleep Tea'', a calming herbal tea, with no sweetening, with hints of chamomille, and mint. I know the tea is made by Celestial Seasons, & it's called ''Sleepytime Herb Tea'', available in markets around the the country;

The points which are needled, cover points on the ear, corresponding to the liver, spleen, heart, & sympathetic nervous system. One sits comfortably and controls their breathing, and go into a state of relaxation. I found it so relaxing, that I went into a refreshing nap. My eyes were sore & red. When I was finished, my sore, red eyes, were gone. I was rested. At the conclusion, seeds, attached to surgical tape, are affixed to both ears, on the outside, to help one to relax;

In 1972, when President Richard Nixon visited China, James ''Scotty'' Reston of the NY Times, needed an appendectomy. Chinese surgeons operated on Scotty & then cured his pain w/Acupuncture;

I was 17 @ the time & thought, in the time of Chairman Mao, it was Communist Propaganda. Today, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Acupuncture to anyone;

Children & Autism

A Child is diagnosed every 20 minutes with autism. One in every 166 children, has autism. Just how much of this is caused by too many vaccinations, which have poisonous preservatives, like aluminum and mercury:

The Great Ordeal Is Close To Conclusion

I can recall when I got sent out on Extended Sick Leave, to get well, I got well, Physically, which made for a greater feeling emotionally:

But, there's a requirement that I MUST See a Psychiatrist, before going back to work. You may feel great from attacking the root cause of your problems, but as I found with one of them, the Root Cause I treated was not my problem. Rather, he stated that it was Depression, which could be treated by Prescription Medication, which I questioned;

It's Often Forgotten that Psychiatrists are Medical Doctors, who truly look to prescribe medicine, often not recognizing that fact that one can be made well, holistically. I found out what made me ill, in the 1st Place, via Holistic Methods, such as Probiotics, Minerals, Vitamins and Enzymes, were utilized in making me well;

The Courses of Antibiotics, led to a rather Severe Case Of Candida In the Gut, which led to Depression and Other Ailments. The Candida Over Flow, caused Flatulence and Putrescence in the Bowels, and other Disorders regarding Digestion;

I'm no fan of Western Medicine, as the Practice of it, tends towards treating and suppressing symptoms, but not treating the cause;

I switched, through the help of Visiting Nurse Service, to a Psychotherapy Center in Queens. They've scheduled my Appointment for returning to work, via Psychiatrist, for the 1st Week of January;

And then, it's back to work;

"Our Daily Meds" A NY Times Book Review

Imagine, inventing an Ailment to sell a drug called Detrol, for "Overactive Bladder":

The Side Effect mimics Dementia, with Loss Of Memory;

Melody Peterson, who once covered The Pharmaceutical Beat for the NY Times, has a Great Book out called "Our Daily Meds", on how the Pharmaceutical Companies create a Demand for their drugs for all kinds of Ailments;

Through The Help Of Chiropractic

I've managed to lose the chronic urge to use Tobacco, w/o the use of drugs or patches or gums. It's because with Chiropractic, it works with tne Central Nervous System, in the Spinal Manipulations:

Vaccines-Germ Killers Or Neurological Destroyers?

Frankly, I think that too many Vaccines, especially to young babies, will hurt them. Thimeroserol, a Mercury-Based Preservative+an Aluminum Based Preservative, will hurt the developing brains of these children, unto the point of Impairing Speech(Autism is on the rise, like 1 in 166 have this condition):

I had both sets of Measles as a child-Once at Age 5 in 1960, and at Age 9(Rubella or German Measles, in 1964). I developed Immunity to both Measles, naturally. Some years later, Vaccines were developed for these Conditions;

Pediatricians start giving Inoculations, as soon as 24 Hours after the Birth of a Child. It's as if the Child of Today, is a Guinea Pig. Children of such a young age, experience 68 Different Vaccinations, as well as being hit with all those Preservatives;

It's like Kids can't be kids, anymore, as they become lab rats, to enrich the pockets of the Pharmaceutical Companies;

In a lot of cases, Alternative Medicine seems to hold the answers to Wellness;

AND to think I hated Injections as a child-NOW I know why;

Click on The Title-It may cause you to think about the Safety Of Vaccinations;

Thanks!

I'm My Own Lab Rat

I had read about Citrulline, an element found in Watermelon and its' rinds. Let's just say that if you eat enough of the fruit and its' rinds, male sexual activity will be enhanced:

After eating 3 Pieces of Watermelon, yesterday, including the rinds, I felt a sensation in the Lower regions of my body. Unfortunately, I'd have to eat a much-greater supply of the fruit, to achieve that sensation for a longer period;

But, due to the Candida Condition, it caused for a rash, and Edema in my Right Leg(Swelling). It's because of Sugar in the fruit, and Sugar and Yeast sure can brew up a mess;

But, I found that a 5B Capsule of Acidophillus and other Probiotics, cleared up the Edema Swelling;

I can thank my Well-Meaning Doctors for all those Antibiotics, which kill the Healthy Flora In The Intestines, leading to an overgrowth of Candida, which is painful and very-annoying. Having gone with Natural Medicine, is giving me a new look in life;

The Red Sox are killing my feelings but the West Coast Tour is ending today, as Josh Beckett is not the same as he was last year, in yesterday's 4-2 Loss, in Anaheim. They play at 6:00PM-ET in Anaheim, on ESPN. Fortunately, Tampa Bay goes outside of its' Circus Tent Dome during this week, built in tribute to the one in Minneapolis;

This Is The 1st Day Of A Major Project

I have gotten tremendous in size, from all the starches & Fat & sweets, so I have decided to eliminate both the starches & sweets & go Low Carb, adding some salads down the road:

Bartenders take note:
It'll be Seltzer & a twist of lemon for awhile. The Cookies & muffins are gone. There will be Fat Burning going on. Caffeine will be cut back;

I gotta do it-my health is on the line;
