Summery Southwest Hairbow

Hello everyone! Happy Monday!  Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here today sharing my newest hair bow creation.   I fell in love with the Southwest Geometric Print Satin Ribbon the moment that I saw it, so I just HAD to make a hair bow with it.
I browsed the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop until I found just the perfect complimentary ribbons to create the perfect bow.

I normally use strictly grosgrain ribbon for my bows, but I decided to mix it up a little bit.  This bow is an array of colors and prints, and absolutely loved the final results. Here is what my original plan was going to consist of:

Yes, I actually use that many ribbons for one bow.  I have used even more that this a few times, but 8-10 is probably the maximum ribbon/print variation I think I would ever use.  I did end up using a few in the end that I did not originally plan on using...but only a couple. My bows consist of 5 individual layers.
I make each layer individually.  Once I have that complete, I will assemble the bow.

All of those individual parts come together to make the one super cute hair bow for a lucky little girl.  It is definitely a little "busier" than my normal creations, but it actually matched my little niece's outfit perfectly!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  Head on over to Really Reasonable Ribbon today and gather up the perfect ribbons for your own project!

Happy Haunting Witchy Bear Treat Holder

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday to you all! Today I have a fun little Halloween treat holder that I designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful satin ribbon.

For my treat holder I made it like a match book to hold a few pieces of candy. Love how easy these are to make and fun to decorate.

  • to start with I cut a piece of card stock to measure 4" x 8 1/4"
  • Next I score at 3/4" , 4 1/2" and then 4 3/4"
  • now press and fold pieces.
  • design paper measures 3 1/2" high x 3 3/4" wide this is for the front cover piece
  • Now for the fold at the bottom that is 3/4" fold up and staple. I then covered that piece with checkerboard satin purple ribbon and black dew drops, ribbon and a fun little candy piece that was a sticker.
  • for the cover I used scor-tape and placed that on top. Now used the sticker haunted house and sticker bat and tombstone.
  • witchy bear is from kadoodlebug designs and was put together and distressed. I added dew drops to her hat, star, and broom. Lastly I added some white dots.
  • I used 1" score tape on the inside to hold the candy.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Christmas Heart Tin with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to all! Today I'm sharing a fun little recycled heart tin that I used to hold pocket change.  I thought how fun it would be to decorate it with ribbon and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon, so it could be set out for Christmas this year and instead of change inside of it, maybe some wrapped candies.

It's an old See's Candy chocolate tin, and I just added some Really Reasonable Ribbon beautiful Gabrielle Lace around the sides and on the top of the heart tin. Love this beautiful lace!

For the top of the box I made the Gabrielle lace into a big bow and hot glued it to the top.  Next I took the green emerald gingham ribbon and made another bow and layered it on top of the lace, then the red checkerboard satin, and then the baker's twine,.  Next I added the flowers in white open rose, and then a red carnation, and ted and white rose buds. Lastly I added 2 of the beautiful vintage antique bronze flower charms to the top of the heart. I really enjoyed decorating this tin, as its always nice to find new things to create, and recycle.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies:
Gabrielle off white crochet Lace
Gingham Emerald 3/8"
Checkerboard Satin red
bakers twine cherry
Red carnations
open roses white
Rose buds
Antique bronze flower vintage flower charm
green leaves 35mm

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, and thank you so much for stopping by!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

I Love You All Occasion Greeting Card

Hey there Peeps! Happy first to all of you. And it's a happy first for me as well because I get to share a project created with the new March Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
What a colorful collection of satin and grosgrain ribbons!

I was so inspired by the Daffodil Checkerboard Ribbon that matched the Petal Lane Collection that they could have been made to go together.

Okay that's all for me. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Mon Amour Tag

Hey there Paper Peeps. Ginny here dropping in to share a tag I created with fabby trims from RRR and lots of patterned paper layers.

This Checkerboard Satin in Light Coral is the most perfect match for the Mon Amour patterned papers from Graphic 45.  I've added some loopy twine bows from Natural Burlap String as well.
Lots of pretty flowers with a few itty bitty die cut black doilies for the bottom corner of this tag. I also added a vintagy wooden clock embellishment I received in a goody bag from my BFF Kathy.
I included die cut feathers with embossing to this arrangement to lighten it up and add texture.
This chipboard frame has a extra thick layer of silvery Liquid Pearls. Before adding all the layers I used a small stencil and some crackle paint to add interest to the background.
Okay that's all for me. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Using Those Neutral Ribbons

Hello there...keeping this short and sweet!  Cherry here for the RRR blog.  I am sharing two cards with you.  First up a fun Bee card ready for someone's birthday.

I decided to make two very different cards using the same ribbon....that is why it is always good to have some neutral whites in your ribbon stash.  It will go with everything!  These cards use the checkerboard satin in off-white.  I also used a white cosmo daisy in the middle of my bows.
My next card is just fun and whimsical.  I love this Graphic 45 paper collection.

Well that is it for me.....enjoy!  Hugs, Cherry

Peace on Earth

Hi friends.  Today I have a clean and simple card to share with a fabby bow made from my favorites from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Nothing like a 'show stopper' bow to add that extra zing to a clean and simple card.
My bi-color double-loop bow is made with Red Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and Emerald Green Checkerboard Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It was created on my Bow-it-All V2.0.  If you don't have this tool yet, be sure to put it on your Christmas list.  You won't be sorry!

Spooky Halloween Card and Shabby Bow Video Tutorial

Hi friends.  Can you believe it's almost Autumn?  Time flies, but this is my very favorite time of the year.  I love the cool, crisp air, the beautiful colors of Autumn and getting back to crafting more often.
Really Reasonable Ribbon has a HUGE selection of fun ribbon styles for Halloween and Autumn.  In addition to the August and September Ribbon Club assortments, check out the Fun 4 Fall and Halloween sections to see the entire selection.
Not a member of the RRR Monthly Ribbon Club yet?  JOIN TODAY and begin with this fabulous double-pack for a special price!  Each assortment contains 9 styles of ribbon and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and trim.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try out new ribbon styles!

On my card today I layered a base of Black Netting Trim which I trimmed down to a width of 1".  Next is a layer of Apple Green Checkerboard Satin and it's topped off with Halloween Chevron Stripes Grosgrain.  My sentiment is layered over this ribbon stack.
I created the fun shabby bow on my Bow-it-All V2.0.  I made a triple-loop bow with Black Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and clipped the loops and frayed the ends.  To see how I created this bow, please watch the video below.

Shabby Bow Video Tutorial with the Bow-it-All V2.0

You will see I changed up the color of the bow on this card in the video.  I love the black, but it does not photograph well....
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on other products I used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

I created my beautiful double-loop double-layer bow with Charcoal Checkerboard Satin using my favorite tool, the Bow-it-All V2.0.
