Crafting Journal with RRR

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today's project is a journal I decorated for Really Reasonable Ribbon and for The Robins Nest Creative , and I love how it turned out. I hope you enjoy my post for today using the Gorgeous Swiss Dots Satin Ribbon.

For my project I chose to decorate a journal my dear hubby gave me , and I used the darling design papers from echo park, ribbon is the gorgeous ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, its the Satin Swiss Dots and all the dew drops are from The Robins Nest Creative. I also covered the pen that came with the journal, and used the sticker machine to run my coordinating dp through. I then added a little glue to keep it closed. Love how this turned out. Normally I would have added a layered piece to the top of my journal, but didn't want to cover up this darling paper.

Thank you so very much for stopping by and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Art Journal

My newest art journal is capturing my growth as an artist.  For years I have enjoyed all kinds of creativity, starting with cross stitch and then scrapbooking.  For several years now I have ventured into creating art journals, sketching and watercoloring.
Through online classes, to artist retreats and in-person art classes, I have enjoyed learning new techniques and meeting other creatives.
I love adding a little softness to this page by using beautiful ribbons by Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Two of my favorites is the Sheer Antique Gold  and Antique Gold Burlap String.  I layered them on top of a burlap leave and added buttons.
I hope this inspires you to start documenting your artistic adventures!

Flowers, Bows and Lace Journal Page

Hello ribbon lovers!  I am excited to share my newest journal page using beautiful ribbons and lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I glued the Burlap Ivory String to the journal page and the added White Taffeta Ribbon and vintage button for more dimension.
I next added the gorgeous Emily White Crochet Lace to the edge of my art journal page.
I love how the ribbon, lace and embellishments give a special touch to my art journal.
Wishing you a creative day, dear friends.

Playing with Purple Art Journal Page

Since purple seems to be the color for this year, I started playing around with it in my art journal. Adding pops of purple with watercolors and beautiful ribbon the February Monthly Ribbon Assortment.
To distress the tag, I used matte medium to adhere tea bags to it.  Once it was dry, I add the ribbon and vintage button.
Next I added a little shine with the Bling Metal Ribbon Slider to the delicate Cindy Lace.
I love how the little bit of ribbon and lace make the artwork pop.
Wishing you a creative day, dear friends.

Art Journal Page

Adding beautiful ribbons and lace, from Really Reasonable Ribbon, to my art journal pages give extra dimension and interest.
I started by tearing out the page of an old book, then add clear gesso and create my artwork  so the vintage patina and words show through the artwork.
Once done, I glue the artwork into my art journal.
I added the Tabitha Lace to the top of the page and then added bows with the Rose Crush Ribbon and Natural Burlap String.

Wishing you a creative day, dear friends.

Art Journal - Together the Best Place to Be

I wanted to share one of my newest art journal pages.   I used some beautiful ribbons, flowers and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I used the beautiful ribbons from the December Monthly Ribbon Club - Back to Basics.
Then I added Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to Assorted Daisy in Mixed Aqua.  I tucked Mulberry Paper Leaves under the Daisies and added Antique Bronze Flower Charm.
I then added a vintage photo and some of my artwork to the page.
Wishing you a creative day, dear friends.

Autumn Art Journal Page

Art journals are a fun and easy way to create smaller pieces of artwork.  Journals are packed with  creativity, but small in space.  It is easy to add dimension and softness with ribbons and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I added one of my favorite ribbons, the Champagne Silky Crush Ribbon to the top of the page.
Next I added the White Magnolia  and tucked bows made with the Ivory Burlap String underneath.
Sticking with the cream tones, I added Ivory Ric Rac and the gorgeous Juliet Natural Crochet Lace to accent the top of the second page.
(Journal pages created from old book, Gesso, Prima Marketing Watercolors and 7 Gypsies products)
I hope you enjoyed a little creative inspiration, dear friends.

An Art Journaling Page

Hello friends!

Vivian here to share an art journal page with you that uses Peachy Keen Stamps and Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I've been collaging a lot as of late and very much enjoying designing in the grungy sphere.  One of the papers with words on it resonated for me.  So I chose one of my favorite fibers from the RRR shop, Metallic String, Iridescent White (I'm also nuts about the gold!), to draw the eye there.

The way this string sparkles perfectly highlights how precious today truly is.  On top of all my collaged pieces, I stamped with Peachy Keen PK-276 Flower Centers and PK-117 Picnic Tablecloth to create my composition...

And add texture...

I didn't feel like being brash with my journaling, so it's something you actually need to look for :-)

I love how easily collage can create so much texture and depth in mixed media projects.
