Shiny ornaments

I Dalarna säger man "pumla", men "julgranskula" funkar väl också bra för att beskriva denna lilla godbit till stämpel. Här har jag stämplat den ett flertal gånger med en vattenfast stämpeldyna, och sedan färglagt lite slarvigt för att få en akvarellkänsla med vattenpensel och röda nyanser av distressdynor. Sist plockade jag upp lite röd färg och stänkte ut små droppar lite här och där.

This Christmas ornament is quite small and works well to stamp multiple times like on this card. I coloured them (and weren't that particular about it) using a water brush and Distress ink pads, to get a water colour style. I picked up a little of the left-over red ink and splattered it across the card.

När färgen torkat lade jag på ett lager Glossy accent och lite Stickles Gold i själva "pummelfästet" om ni förstår vad jag menar :) Jag använde en riktigt tunn svart penna för att rita trådar från varje pumla.

Once the ink was dried, I added a layer of Glossy accents and some Gold Stickles on the base of the ornaments. Using a thin liner, I added the strings to each ornament.

Söt liten gris med rätt attityd!

Jag är hemskt förtjust i denna lilla gris som ser så oförskämt nöjd ut! =) Tillsammans med texten gör det att man får en helt ny syn på den lilla grisen, den har helt rätt attityd och tar dagen som den kommer med ett leende på läpparna.

Som bakgrund har jag stämplat en cirkel i flera milda färger. Sedan har jag valt färg på kortbasen efter en av cirklarna som passade bra.

I'm terribly fond of this little pig that looks so pleased! =) Along with the text you get a completely new view of the little pig, to take each day as it comes with a smile.

As background I stamped a circle in several soft colors. Then I ´ve chosen the color of the card base after one of the circles that fitted nice.

Den söta grisen har blivit 3D-lackad för att sticka ut lite...

The cute pig has been 3D-coated to stand out a bit...

En liten positiv tanke...

Denna söta stämpel med hundvalpen har jag haft hemma ett tag, men jag har inte riktigt vetat när jag ska använda den. Tillsammans med texten "En liten positiv tanke..." tyckte jag att den passade fint, vad annat kan en söt hundvalp ge än positiva känslor?

This cute stamp with a puppy I have had at home for a while, but I did´nt really knew when to use it. Along with the sentence "A small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day" I thought fitted nicely, what else can a cute puppy give you than positive emotions?

Valpen är handkolorerad med Distressfärgerna, ett väldigt kul sätt att färglägga. Effekten påminner om akvarell, det blir väldigt levande.

The puppy is hand colored with Distress ink, a very fun way to paint. The effect is similar to watercolor, it becomes very vivid.

3D-lack täcker texten "positiv tanke" och valpens nos och ögon för att få en blank yta. Applicera och låt torka! Man kan lägga på flera lager om man vill, då blir det tjockare.

Glossy Accent cover words "positive thought" and the puppy's nose and eyes to get a wet look. Apply and allow to dry! You can put on several layers if you want, then it will be thicker.

A shabby tag with an owl

On this tag I´ve used a lot of white crackle paint.

I love when the things I make are very "shabby chic".

I´ve colored the owl with Distress ink.

And the backside for some small personal text.

I´ve used double layers of papers everywhere.

The little heart is a brads, and I´ve put pearls in the corners

ad at the butterfly.

Lace and flowers...

I´ve putted some glozzy accent at the blue flowers for a glossy effect.

The heart in the crib is colored with crackle paint.

Did you see the small teddy bear at the pillow!
That´s from a ribbon.

Recept-swap

Att göra recept-swappar tycker jag är ett roligt sätt att byta recept, men också inspiration! Och det behöver inte vara så avancerade kort.
Du delar ett 12" ark i fyra delar och gör fyra likadana receptkort. Sedan ger du bort tre av dem, en behåller du själv. De som fått dina kort gör i sin tur likadant, ett till dig, ett behåller dem själva. Man kan vara en "sluten grupp" där alla byter med varann, man kan vara hur många som helst. Så länge du behåller ett själv och ger ett tillbaka till den du fick av.
Eller så gör du som jag, ger bort ett favoritrecept bara för att det är så roligt att göra swappar!

Making recipe swaps is a fun way to swap recipes, but also inspiration! And it doesn´t have to be so advanced.
You cut a 12" sheet into quarters and make four identical recipes. Then you give away three of them, one you keep for yourself. Those who receive your card makes the same, one for you, one for keeping to themselves. You can do as many as you like, as long as you keep one for yourself and give one back to the person that gave you one in the first place .
Or do like me, give away a favorite recipe just because it's so fun to do swaps!

Själv är jag väldigt förtjust i allt med choklad, så varför inte ha ett chokladtema? Jag har bl.a. använt ett par nya papper ur Basic Collection - supersnygga!

I myself am very fond of anything with chocolate in it, so why not have a chocolate theme? I've used a couple of new papers from the Basic Collection - gorgeous!

Som chokladbollar har jag klippt ut små rundlar i brun cardstock som sedan har blivit dekorerade med vita streck och täckta av lack.

The chocolate balls I've cut out of brown cardstock which has been decorated with white stripes and covered with varnish.

En liten hälsning

I fredags hämtade jag hem ett paket från Reprint med några av de nya papperna, och jag kan bara säga - snygga! Lätta att använda, passar till det mesta.
Här har jag använt baksidan på ett av pappren ur den senaste kollektionen. Symaskinen har också dammats av och fått sätta sin prägel på kortet. Kanterna har fått sin obligatoriska "svärta" såklart.

Last Friday I picked up a parcel from Reprint with some of the new papers, and I can only say - gorgeous! Easy to use, fits most occasions.
Here I have used the back of one of the papers from the latest collection. The sewing machine has been dusted off and had set its mark on the card. The edges have had their obligatory "blackness" of course.

Jag har klippt ut en fjäril ur ett papper och klistrat in den i en kapsyl. Lite glitterlim på vingarna och på med glossy accent över hela bilden. Tim Holtz fantastiska dekortejp passade också in tillsammans med lite spets och några små härliga blommor.

I have cut out a butterfly out of a sheet of paper and pasted it in a bottle cap. A little glitter glue on the wings and on with glossy accents over the entire image. Tim Holtz fantastic decorative tape fit in nicely along with some lace and some small beautiful flowers.

I´ve build an old 3D bike.
On the bike there is Lace, Brads, Doily, Reprint papers, Glossy Accent, 

Crackle Paint, Metal charm, Bulb, Flowers and a stamp from Reprint.

Christmas Stocking

This time I´ve made a card in blue and grey, and of course I´ve used

a lot of white gesso. I´ve chalked the edges with gesso on a sponge.

On the hat and the umbrella there is glossy accent.

Ett kort till mamma!

Mors dag närmar sig fortare än man tror, och då ville jag vara ute i god tid. Jag har gjort ett stilrent kort med lite dekorationer. Jag tycker stämpeln är så fin som den är!

Mother's Day is approaching faster than you think, and I wanted to be prepared in time. I have made a stylish card with just a few decorations. I think the stamp is so fine as it is!

Spetsen är infärgat med Distress Stain Dusty Concord för att matcha färgen på blomman och pappret.

The lace is colored with Distress Stain Dusty Concord to match the color of the flower and the paper.

Några blingstenar sitter på stämpelmotivet, som är stämplat med Distress Dusty Concord. Och så lite glossy accent (såklart!) på blomman för att få det att se ut som små daggdroppar.
Kanterna på det mönstrade pappret är chalkade med Versa Magic Niagara Mist.

Some bling stones are placed on the stamp motif, which is stamped with Distress Dusty Concord. And a little glossy accents (of course!) on the flower to make it look like small dew drops.
The edges of the patterned paper is inked with Versa Magic Niagara Mist.

En stilla höstmorgon

Detta fotot är taget en tidig höstmorgon för ett par år sen när dimman fortfarande låg kvar över vattnet efter natten. Magiskt, eller hur?!

This photo was taken an early autumn morning for a couple of years ago when the mist still remained above water after night. Magical, is´nt it?!

Jag har använt mig av ett par olika mönstrade papper som kommer ur förra vårens kollektion New England Collection. Jag gillar den lite rustika känslan i dem. Jag har sandpapprat kanterna på fotot och pappret, samt etiketten. Några blommor, lite guteband och vanliga häftklamrar.

I've used a few different patterned papers coming out of last spring's collection called New England Collection. I like the slightly rustic feel of them. I sanded the edges of the photo and the paper, and tag. Some flowers, some cloth "ribbon" and ordinary staples.

Snöret i etiketten har jag repat upp för att det ska spreta lite.

The string in the tag, I scratched up to get a worn look..

Nyckeln är en stämpel som jag sedan klippt ut och lackat med Glossy Accent.

The key is a stamp which I then cut out and coated with Glossy Accent.

Grattis i en bubbla

Man ska aldrig slänga såna här roliga förpackningar, de kan alltid vara bra att ha!Detta är en förpackning som jag återanvänt till ett "skak"kort.

You should never throw things like this fun packaging, they can always come in handy! This is a package that I recycled into a "shaker" card.

 
Baksidan är klädd med ett mönstrat papper från Reprints senaste kollektion. I bubblan har jag sedan lagt några blommor, en prisma, lite pärlband och ett stämpelmotiv med grattistext som jag stansat ut en rundel ur. Den är sedan täckt med Glossy Accent. Det ligger också med en fjäril som jag klippt ut ur ett annat av de nya papperna.

The back is covered with a patterned paper from Reprints latest collection. In the bubble, I have a few flowers, a prism, some pearl string and a stamp motif with congratulations text. I then punched a circle out of the motif, and covered it with Glossy Accent. There is also a butterfly that I cut out from another one of the new papers.

Kanten på bubblan är klädd med en vacker spets. Högst upp sitter en bit sidenband och en Pearl wire.

The edge of the bubble is covered with a beautiful lace. At the top sits a piece of satin ribbon and a pearl wire.

Egentligen kan du slänga i vad som helst som du vill ge bort - ett smycke, godis, en biobiljett... Så sätt igång och återvinn!

Actually, you can toss in anything that you want to give away - a piece of jewelry, candy, a cinema ticket ... So go ahead and recycle!

...med en matchande påse!

Här är en påse för påskgodiset eller vad du vill ge bort. Jag har använt mig av samma produkter som förra veckan när jag gjorde påskkortet.

Here is a gift bag for easter candy or whatever you want to give away. I have used the same products as last week when I did the easter card.

 

Jag har använt mig av ett halvt A4 papper till själva påsen och sen klippt till ett lock i ett papper i samma serie. Kanterna har jag inkat med Pinecone och lockets kant är klätt med ett fint band. En stämplad kyckling pryder locket som jag färglagt och tagit Glossy Accent på, och så hänger där en prisma längst ner. Locket försluts med kardborre.

I have used one half of a A4 paper for the bag and then cut the lid out of another paper in the same collection. The edges are inked with Pinecone and the egdes of the lid are covered with a beautiful ribbon. A hand colored stamp imression of a chicken are seen on the lid, covered with Glossy Accent. There is also a prism hanging at the bottom of the lid. The bag is closed by a bit of velcro.

Liten påskhälsning...

Här har jag gjort ett kort i klassiskt påskbrevsformat. Ett enkelt men ändå lite annorlunda kort.

I have made an easter card, a simple one and in a slightly different shape.

Jag har använt ett av de nya A4 pappren som är jättehärliga att jobba med. I botten har jag vit cardstock. Stämpeln med kycklingen har jag färglagt och tagit Glossy Accent på. Kanterna på det mönstrade pappret har jag sandpapprat lite först och sen inkat med Pinecone.

I have used one of the new patterned papers in letter size. They are great to work with. I have also used white cardstock. The stamped impression are first colored and then covered with Glossy Accent. The edges of the patterned paper are sanded, then inked with a stamp pad called Pinecone.
