The End

One by one our ranks reduced.  First Cathy to the airport.  Then Katrina.  Then Sarah.  Finally, me and Allison. Somewhere deep down inside I think we were trying to miss our "last flight of the day" out.  We were literally seconds away from the check-in cut off and, as a result, had to suffer through an insufferable lecture about timeliness from US Airways finest.

We flew from San Juan to Charlottesville and from 80 degrees to 50.  I turned to Allison and mournfully noticed that we were again "surrounded by people wearing winter coats."  Allison looked at me and said, "I like to think that they are all going to Alaska."

Now that's some positive thinking, I can can get behind.  To Alaska they go and I will hold close to a few more moments of San Juan warmth.
