Aurora Wings Challenge #64 - Mid Challenge Inspiration

Made this altered canvas for mid-challenge inspiration at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog.. Theme for this challenge is Bingo.. And here's the bingo's chart..

I choose the middle column.. Glitter - Die Cuts - Layers.. Using this gorgeous lady.. Heartstring which you can find here.. This is my 2nd time colouring her.. and still having fun with it hihihi.. Colouring her with Copic markers.. And decided to make an altered canvas.. 

First I put black gesso on the canvas.. 

Then I put some embellishments.. to make texture.. (I don't use stencils this time)..

After that I give more black gesso on the embellishments.. till all covered by it.. 

Then continue with inkspray and acrylic paint.. I use these colours:
* Tattered Angel Glimmer mist: Juniper, Grape Ape, Viva Pink..
* Prima Finnabair Acrylic Paints: Opal Magic Pink Blue..
* Distress Paint: Wild Honey..

Last thing to do is put the images, piece of cheese clothes, some paper flowers, more die cuts, and chipboard wording.. then the last one is put some gold glitter on the chipboard.. and taraaaa here's my canvas..

Aurora Wings Challenge #60

Time for new challenge at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog.. Theme twist for this challenge is 'Recycled'.. 

Love this theme.. hihihi.. I choose to recycled this bottle.. *already a year pass without doing altered project hihihi*.. 

And choose to use Dark Goth Mermaid with a skull which you can find here.. colouring the gorgeous mermaid with Copic markers.. 

then varnished it with Studio Multi-Medium Gloss.. 

As for the bottle.. first I paint it with black acrylic paint (Reeves) then after it dry I add some graphit texture paste .. 

Then add skeleton dies cut out using Gina Marie Design.. 

Add more black acrylic paint to all surface.. after it dried.. add some prima metallic acrylic paint (Rusty Red) using my fingers.. already try using brush and sponge.. but the best look for me is to apply it using fingers :D 

Then put the gorgeous image on the center of the bottle.. 

And time for decorating.. I use the cute plastic skeleton hand toy, butterfly metallic filigree, chain, skeleton charms, and flowers from Len's Bloom.. paint all embellishment with black and/or rusty red paint.. and taraaaa here's my final project..

Aurora Wings Challenge #41

New challenge at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog.. With theme: Winter Wonderland.. 

I choose to colour this gorgeous.. Snow Queen Blooms of Ice which you can find here.. Colouring her with copic marker.. with colours B99 - B97 - B95 - B93 - B91 - B60 - V12 - V000 only.. 

At first I just want to make a card with her.. but after finished the colouring, suddenly I want to put her on canvas *sigh* hahaha.. dunno why but it happened many times with Mitzi's image.. I ended up making something altered or mixed media :D

Frightful Halloween Altered Frame

Just having fun today, making this altered canvas for Halloween.. Post it today because I won't be around during Halloween period (October-November).. So here's the main materials.. A super cute skeleton toy isn't it .. hihihih love it so much <3

Other materials:
* Spider Web border cutting die from Sizzix
* The Crafter's Workshop' Stencils: Mini 'Art is' Script
* Reeves' Modelling Paste and Coarse Texture Gel
* Reeves' Intro Acrylic Paint: Mars Black
* Prima Marketing Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint: Deep Water & Steampunk Copper
* Halloween Chipboard Themed from Sister Art Creations
* Tim Holtz' Idea-ology Black Halloween Alpha Parts
* Dried branch, brown moss, natural fiber from my personal stash 
* Flourish Resin embellishments, cheese clothes also from personal stash

So I start with covering the canvas with black acrylic paint.. put the dies cut out *I use the back of the canvas*.. add the script motifs and some coarse texture gel.. wait till dry then re-paint with black.. after dried, using fingers add some blue metalic and copper paint to the whole area.. meanwhile I paint all embellishments with black, blue and copper (except the alpha parts with copper paint only).. the last things to do is put all the embellishments at their places.. finitooo.. so here's my altered frame..

No bloody2 for today.. due I want to try my 2 new metalic paints hohoho.. here are the details photo..

Aurora Wings Challenge #30

I choose to use Miyabi.. which you can find here.. I think geisha really looks classy and can fit the theme well.. :D colouring the gorgeous image with copic marker..

I choose to make another altered canvas.. since I print the image a bit bigger than usual.. it looks prettier on the 20 x 20 cm canvas than the 14.5 x 14.5 cm card :D and also with canvas I can do *and put* more things *wink*..

Aurora Wing' Stella Team Blog Hop

Hi Everyone.. it is time for the 1st Aurora Wings' Stella Team blog hop .. I feel so thrilled to be in this spring team.. Thank you so much to Mitzi, Donna, Lorraine and other designer at the main Aurora Wings designer team.. 

So here's a little bit about me.. :D

My name's Aurora Aurelia.. Prefer to be called RoRa *shorter, better hehehe*.. I'm a freelance tour leader live in Jakarta Indonesia.. I start falling in love with papercraft and colouring since 2014.. For time being I use Copic marker and sometimes Distress ink for colouring.. but prefer the first one because it can done faster :D Beside crafting I also love history, archaeology, mythology, singing, dancing, culinary and of course travelling.. *wink* 

And now back to the blog hop.. The theme for this blog hop is 'Show Your Style' ... it is a bit difficult for me since I think I don't have any significant one.. I use to move from one style to another.. and also love to try something new.. but still have to choose one, so this time I do a mixed media style.. :D

I choose to use Grace of Tungsten Carbide ... which you can find here.. a very oriental image *Did I ever mention one of the reasons why I love Aurora Wings is because of those unique oriental images ..hihihih* ... colouring her with Copic marker.. 

No designer paper for this project.. I use small canvas (20x20cm) for base.. give texture with modeling paste using Prima Marketing' Static Stencil.. adding some lace, metal, wood and chipboard (including 2 brush).. cover them all with white gesso.. then inksprayed the whole surface.. after all dried I put some gold acrylic paint here and there.. then add the image and some pearls onto it.. 

Inkspray use:
* Dylusions: (Melted Chocolate, Pomegranate Seed & Bubblegum Pink)
* Tattered Angel glimmer mist (Cross My Heart & Tuscan Sun)

Spending time making this altered bottle... using Aurora Wings image.. Day of The Dead Marie.. which you can find here..  Colour her with copic..  then apply some amount of Distress Crackle Paint Clear Rock Candy..
