Today, I'm sharing another card you may have spotted on my Create & Craft shows for Letraset. This one combines a stamped, coloured image with some fussy cut papers...
The image is a stamp from Stampavie (available from Bramwells) coloured with a combination of Promarkers & Flexmarkers. The papers are from a pack of Websters Pages 8" x 8" papers that I've had for a while, they feature lovely botanical scenes but they weren't really my style and I wasn't quite sure what to do with them, but I thought they fitted this card perfectly! so I dug them out and began fussy cutting and building up the elements around the image creating a little rolled back frame and lots of 3D elements. Here is a little close up so you can get a good look at the colouring...
I should also let you know that Letraset are having a competition on their Facebook page this week and you can win some Flexmarkers every day - you don't want to miss this one! You can find their Facebook page here to join in!
Now I must finish off a few things before I attempt a few hours sleep, I'm currently working on some new projects that I'm very excited about, it makes switching my brain off at night a bit difficult! I'll have some more exciting news about Letraset to share with you in a couple of days as well as an update on the 'A Few of My Favourite Things...' kit club (please see previous post, and wow! what an amazing response so far!!!!) so look out for that :o)
Thanks so much for dropping by today!

More Crafty Ribbon Cards!
I mentioned last week that I had been to Olympia to drop off some samples for Crafty Ribbons, now I can show them to you!
The set of 5 were made from Basic Grey Basics papers (my favourite base to most of my projects!) with Websters Pages papers and a couple of Jenny Bowlin stickers, all of course with Crafty Ribbons Seam Binding! The colours of the Seam Binding matched the papers perfectly, they are fab for vintagey style projects!

Thank you to those who have clicked 'Like' on my Facebook page, makes me happeeeee! I've now updated the pic on my personal facebook page to something with my actual face (sorry about that, LOL) although it still has my art on it :o)
My tweety buddy Lyn has started to post art tips on her blog from this week - I think it's a great idea, always nice to learn something new! I'm always fascinated to learn how others work as well, sometimes I think maybe I'm doing it 'wrong' and reading others processes makes me feel more confident as they all so different - after all, there is really no 'wrong' way at all! and I often pick up tips which is fab, if you have anything like that on your blog please leave me the link, I'd love to have a look :o)
Part two of 'Waking the Dead' tonight - scary stuff!! Last night I happened to choose a Creme Egg as my snack of choice throughout all the eye gouging - ick! I may never eat one again....

All about ME!
Recently I was challenged to make a layout all about me. This caused a complete crafters block! (and a manic hunt for a pic where I don't look drunk, weird or "facially challenged") as I'm sure most scrapbookers will understand, its very rare to do a layout of yourself, entirely about you. The focus of most of my layouts are family, friends, B or Belle (my fur baby) Anyway, after getting the shortlist of pics printed and then choosing one I had a mad hunt through my stash to find all the stuff I love the most - polka dots, red and blue and my trusty butterfly punch. I used some gorgeous Making Memories paper that I'd been stroking for the last few weeks and some lovely lettering from the new 'Flutter' range - they are sooo pretty!
Part of the challenge was to include 5 random facts about yourself. I jumped on the chance to cut out the gorgeous cherries from one of my Websters Pages papers (as cherry is my favourite smell and flavour)
and right as I was struggling to finish the 5th fact about myself I found a Melody Ross epoxy sticker that summed it all up perfectly - "Beautiful things make me giddy"
