Chi Chi Memories Hip Hop Girl

Chi Chi Memories have this great little digi this month called Hip Hop girl.
Rather than make a card I decided to make a gift bag that could be used for a goodie bag full of sweets or a small gift.

I started by getting a gift bag up on on my computer using Craft Artist 2 and decorating it adding in the digi stamp where I wanted it. I printed this on Centura Pearl card (so it was glittery) and then printed out the digi on it's own as in order to colour with Spectrum Noirs you need to print in grey scale or the ink bleeds with the Spectrum Noirs. I put together to bag following the instructions on the print out which was mega easy. I then coloured the greyscale Hip Hop girl with Spectrum Noirs and cut her out and stuck her to the bag. I finished with some organza ribbon.

I hope you enjoy!

Chi Chi Memories - My Heroine

I LOVE comic book superheros such as those from DC and Marvel (while writing this I'm wearing my 'every girl loves a superhero' pjs) so was so excited when I saw this digi! Also I always stand in the same stance, hubby is always saying I'm Super Sara (and just like Peter Parker, Bruce Banner etc my first and last name start with the same letter)

Anyway back to the card...

I printed her onto Neenah cardstock and coloured in Spectrum Noirs. I used primary coloured card (to fit with the colours of the digi, as all superheros have basic colours due to comic book printing). I then raided my stash and found the perfect backing card with a comic book theme and I teamed this with my comic book washi tape I brought from Michaels while in America. To finish it off I used a superhero sentiment saying 'have a super birthday' which I believe was from Kanban.
I really love this digi and would love a matching male version.
My Heroine can be purchased from Chi Chi Memories

Robot Boy - Chi Chi Memories

For this card I used Robot Boyfrom Chi Chi Memories. He can be brought on her own or as part of Costume Set 2.

I used Spectrum Noir pens to colour him in and used some technology themed backing card and sentiment from my stash. I layered him up ontop of some metallic card.

I love this image as it is so cute!

Lion Boy - Chi Chi Memories

For this card I used Lion Boy from Chi Chi Memories. He can be brought on his own or as part of Costume Set 2.

I took a A5 card and rounded off the corners with my xcut punch to give it a softer feel. I then scored the front of the card in half to make the beginnings of a stepper card. I then stuck some thick acetate (which I cut to the same size as the front of the card) on to half the card (the piece I had scored) and then covered up the tape with some tiger stripe card. I coloured the image in with my Spectrum Noirs (the shading lines on the Chi Chi Memories images make it so easy to colour and know where to shade). I then stuck him on the card along with the 'ROAR!' sentiment which looks like it is floating as it's stuck on the acetate. To finish I put some green grass like card on the base of the stepper and added a 'happy birthday' boarder to act as the stopper (this was from a Hunkydory card kit).

I think this card looks so fun and although the image is of a little boy, it could easily be used for a little girls card too!

Chi Chi Memories Monthly Challenge - Funky Girl

Pop along to Chi Chi Memories blog to take part in this months challenge using Funky Girl http://ccmchallenge.blogspot.hk/2014/06/june-challenge-freebie.html?m=1

There are 30 free downloads of Funky Girl available to hurry over and grab yours now! The challenge ends on 13th July.

I used the digi to make this cute card

I coloured her with Spectrum Noirs and used papers from Sarah Hurley. Unusually for me I chose the background papers first then coloured the digi and so used colours I wouldn't normally choose.

Head over to http://ccmchallenge.blogspot.hk/2014/06/june-challenge-freebie.html?m=1 to see what the other DT members have made

Chi Chi Memories - Good Day

This week I have used another new release from Chi Chi Memories, this time it's 'Good Day'
 Good Day
She can be brought by going to the Chi Chi Memories Designs website

I cut two shaped squares out of coloured card using my Cricut Mini, and before sticking them together I added some Washi Tape I brought from Michael's while on holiday then trimmed off the ends before sticking the two pieces of card together and then onto a smaller card blank. For the image I used Good Day and coloured her with Spectrum Noir pens and then added some glitter pen to her hair baubles and some glossy accents to the balloons. Once dry I cut her out with my EK Success circle cutter then stuck double-sided tape round the outside of the circle and pleated tissue paper round the outside to give a tactile fun frame to the image. I finished the card off with some little flowers I had left over from the 60th birthday card I made in April.

This is a nice fun bright card and the digi is so versatile as you can colour the balloons in colours to suit your project!

Chi Chi Memories - Princess Snowy

This is my first post as a Guest DT for Chi Chi Memories and it's ever so fitting that the first digi I received (while I was on holiday in Florida) was Princess Snowy! I love Snow White and fell in love with this digi.
 Princess Snowy
She can be brought by going to the Chi Chi Memories Designs website

I took a A5 card and covered the front in some scrapbooking paper from The Haute Pink Stack by DCWV. I printed Snowy onto some card and coloured her using Spectrum Noirs (Hair IG1, 4, 6, 8 and 10; Dress TB2, TB3, CT3, CT4, CR11; Skin FS2 & FS3) and then cut her out with my EK Success Circle Cutter as well as cutting out some mirri card a bit bigger to layer onto. I used distress ink in peacock feathers around Snowy to give it a bit more colour. I printed my own sentiment out and used pickled raspberry distress ink. To finish I added some little wooden butterflies I had in my craft stash and (although it's hard to see) I did little glitter butterfly trails behind each butterfly with a sakura glitter pen.

I hope you like it! I think I'm going to use Snowy again in my scrapbook for my holiday (once I get all my photos delivered).

Robot Girl - Chi Chi Memories

For this card I used Robot Girl from Chi Chi Memories. She can be brought on her own or as part of Costume Set 2.

I took a A5 card and went over it with my Spectrum Noir blender pen then used pens in the PP, PL, BP and LV groups from Spectrum Noir to make the background. I then cut and embossed some silver card and added the Robot Girl image which I coloured in Spectrum Noirs. To finish I used the Robot Girl sentiment and cut round it with zig-zag scissors and to make it stand out and matted it onto some black card and cut that out too with the zig-zag scissors.

I love this image as it is so sweet and as the sentiment says 'cuteness overload!'
