The Fairies Live Show

awwww I bet this will be someones facebook profile picture!

Our special thing we did with Auntie Abby before she left was to go to the Live Fairies Show. This time it was in our town so getting there was drama free and so easy! You gotta love that! The girls were so excited that morning when we were getting them ready. Tights, Leotards, Dancing Shoes, Petticoats, Pretty Skirts, Fairy Wings, Dance Wraps, Some Glitter Tattoo's and Face Glitter! I told Abby it's like going to the Toddler Prom lol!

I love this picture!! You can really see their personalities in it!

Look at all the cute fairies getting as close as they can!

We were double excited for Elf the Fairy Cake Maker to be here this time!! He started the show and helped all the Fairy Dancing Girls call the Fairies to come and play!

Here's Lilah chilling on Abby's lap. She was happy as long as she was sitting on someones lap, but if we tried to get her to go dance around with the other kids she said NO WAY! I did ask Emmy to take her by the hand to go dance and Lilah was happy to go with Emmy, but the second Emmy dropped her hand she came bolting back to us hahhaha

Once we first got there Emmy couldn't run away fast enough to join in with the dancing girls. Then about 2 min's later she came back for her pom poms.

Yep...still dancing!

In this one she spots two little girls coming that have the fairies dancing skirt on... I think she liked this because she kept dancing beside them later on.

This is Lilah during the show. She was in awe and taking it all in. Towards the end she started doing some wiggling to the songs hahah

She doesn't look like a baby anymore! Overnight she's become a little girl *tear*

Here are some video's..... not anything super amazing on here, but just to give you and idea of what its like and in some of them Lilah is wiggling which is cute! They are HD so go ahead and make them full sized for your screen to see the best as it's pretty dark.

Happy 4th Of July

How fun for the girls that Auntie Abby was out here for the Fourth of July! We did sparklers with the girls and Abby made her patriotic cake :)

Lilah loved the sparklers and with no fear wanted to touch them and get really close. Emmy on the other had understood that they were hot and could burn you and had to be coxed into holding one. Abby and I played showed the girls how to play with them a couple of times before lighting them and sticking them in their hands. I ended up picking up each of the girls and helping them run around because I think they were very nervous about running into the very dark backyard.

After that we were all freezing cold so we went back into the house to decorate the cake. Lots of pictures down below :) I hope you like them! Happy 4th of July! xo

What Mom and Auntie! We'll show you how to do it!

Lilah was hooked! Emmy was standing back trying to figure out what the heck was going on!

Give it to me Mom!!!!

Lilah watching Mommy light her sparkler!

Auntie Abby showing how to make circles!

Emmy didn't like the smell they were giving off and Lilah was ready to have another one!

Oh no...... a bowl of blueberries. This could be messy!

Great job Lilah! You are getting so big!

Emmy loved mushing the strawberries deep down.... so I piled more on top.... the more strawberries the better if you ask me!

Yes..... it was way yummy! And the Whipped Cream topping made the girls terribly gassy and poppie all the next day though. I think I'll have to figure out a dairy free version and alter Abby's recipe so we can make it again for Australia Day!

Rainbows

Look at this BEAUTIFUL rainbow we saw today!! It was a gloomy, rainy, and cold all day so this was a wonderful surprise. This was also the first rainbow that Emmy has seen where I'm 100% positive she understood what it was. She told me that there were My Little Ponies over there! How cute is that!? Lilah enjoyed looking at it too! It's fun living in a place where we get to see alot of rainbows! It's so magical :)

Family Fun Day at the StarPlex

The StarPlex, our local gym, had a Free Family Fun Day so we packed up the kids and headed up there. It was a pretty cold day so it was really nice to have some great indoor activities! The girls to go play at the Kinder Gym, pet baby farm animals, jump in the jumping castle, meet the mascot...a giant star fish (whoever designed that costume was an idiot!! It was a giant star fish with a guy in it so all you could see of him was two legs sticking out...this means he had no arms or hands to use to catch himself if he fell or to hug children. Because he was in this giant thing he couldn't see when children got close to him so really he was a big walking hazard..... but the girls loved him and I was laughing so hard watching him try to wiggle his fin to say hello.) They also got to got to swim, do face painting, and play with some toys in the child care room. It was such a fun day and the best part of it was that it was FREE! Oh....they also got a goodie bag with toys, balloons, and candy.

Lilah loves the ball pits and slides so this was so fun for her!

Whoosh! Here comes Emmy!

Didn't take long and she was out of the ball pit and onto the trampoline.

This was one of my favorite parts. The had bunnies, lambs, chickens, goats and ducks. Emmy really liked the bunnies and Lilah seemed to love it all. She just wondered around all happy. You'll notice they are dressed the same here...which I never do because I think it's cuter when the are coordinating rather than matching.....but I thought it would be helpful to spot them amongst all other children, and it was!

Emmy's FIRST face paint! She held perfectly still and was very proud of her "make up"!

This is my true water baby!! She loves water so much and has no fear. She wants to be in it no mater how much water it is (the kitchen sink or a huge pool), she LOVES sticking her face in it and her most favorite thing is laying down in it!

Not only is she laying down here.........she's actually pushing so hard backwards that you have to fight to keep her from going under. Silly girl!!

Emmy is very caution in the pool and likes to stay right beside you, towards the end of their swimming session she was walking around in the deeper water by herself and it was a struggle to get them to come out of the pool when it came time to go home!!

Unbirthday Party

I found the Giant Cupcake cake pan for a great price and I've REALLY been wanting one of these so of course I had to try it out right away. I did it really fast so it looks sloppy, but it was only suppose to be a tester cake. Emmy was so excited about it. She kept saying Happy Birthday and talking about blowing out the candles so we decided to have a Very Merry Unbirthday Party just like Alice In Wonderland :)

We sang happy birthday and each of the girls got a turn blowing out the candle! When it was Lilah's turn Abby tilted her down right over the top of it and nearly burnt her head.... I think I squealed while she quickly pulled her up and rubbed her head. I don't know what I would have done if her hair would have caught on fire!! Thanks Auntie lol :)

Of course we had to sing again and light it :) She was so happy!

Make a wish!

Yay! You did it!

The Unbirthday Song

MARCH HARE:
A very merry unbirthday to me

MAD HATTER:
To who?

MARCH HARE:
To me

MAD HATTER:
Oh you!

MARCH HARE:
A very merry unbirthday to you

MAD HATTER:
Who me?

MARCH HARE:
Yes, you!

MAD HATTER:
Oh, me!

MARCH HARE:
Let's all congratulate us with another cup of tea
A very merry unbirthday to you!

MAD HATTER:
Now, statistics prove, prove that you've one birthday

MARCH HARE:
Imagine, just one birthday every year

MAD HATTER:
Ah, but there are three hundred and sixty four unbirthdays!

MARCH HARE:
Precisely why we're gathered here to cheer

BOTH:
A very merry unbirthday to you, to you

ALICE:
To me?

MAD HATTER:
To you!

BOTH:
A very merry unbirthday

ALICE:
For me?

MARCH HARE:
For you!

MAD HATTER:
Now blow the candle out my dear
And make your wish come true

BOTH:
A merry merry unbirthday to you!

Gifts from Grandma Jan

Jan has been knitting up a storm and made the girls some things to keep them warm this winter! Lilah got a sweater with matching hat. I think the colors are so lovely and it looks really cute on her! Emmy has what's called a sat "scat" a scarf and hat in one! It's made with to softest yarn ever!! I had to have Abby wear it to get a picture of it because Emmy didn't want to cooperate with me! (imaging a two year old doing that!) hahha

Lilah's First Coin Ride At The Mall

Abby took this video about 2 weeks ago of the girls riding in a semi truck ride at the mall. Just to freak out my American friends and family....these things cost $2 for a 2 minute ride.

Medieval Festival at Gumeracha

Last Saturday we went out to Gumeracha for the 4th Annual Medieval Festival. I was so excited to see all the costumes that people would wear and was a little bummed out that I didn't have one lol. If I have the extra time between now and next year I plan on making medieval dresses for the girls and myself...hehe It was a lot like the Feast of the Hunters Moon in West Lafayette. They had lots of food options and merchants selling anything and everything medieval. If you were in the market for a real sword or armor this was the place to be! There was a parade with different groups of people dressed up. I didn't know such groups/clubs existed, and I must say this struck me as a bit nerdy.....what would these people do at meetings??? haha They had demonstrations of bow and arrow, jousting, knight fights, Celtic moon dancers, a petting zoo, and lots more!

Lilah taking a nap in her wrap.
I love carrying her this way.... it's so snugly and comfortable like a big hug!

Emmy peeping at her sister :) I think Emmy was hoping she'd get a turn next.

Smile Daddy!

I'm not sure what this thing was but we thought it would be fun to get our picture taken with it!

Abby and Lilah after the parade. (Lilah's sporting a temporary tattoo that grandma Betsy sent the other day) Emmy's hanging out on the blanket below... she didn't like that I was away from her and taking the picture. I think the knights and women in large dresses made her a little nervous because they were so close to us when the walked by.

Parade

This couple cracked me up!

This Knight looked just like James Blunt. He road up so close to us and Emmy really thought the horse was very cool! Her dad asked her the other day if she'd like to have one and she said YES! I'd love to board a horse someday close to our house. When the girls get old enough to start riding we'll look into it more.
