Lets Celebrate.....

Good morning..... Rikki here and another Sunday passing marking nearly the end of the weekend :( but notice I did say nearly!!! Today I have another share using Webster's Let's Celebrate, which has been the perfect range for my daughters Birthday photos that I was trying to get to one day..... I am sure I am not alone in the one day pile (psssttt I also have one of those with the kids school photos, so if you have any tips on how to get rid of that pile please let me know).

I love this range as it make a beautiful page, and makes it quite a quick process when you are time poor.

So as you can see I nice quick page, using some left overs for the fussy cut cupcakes from last week and a banner that I also cut previously all I had to do was add some foam mount.

I love the journal card set as it was a perfect mat for the photo and it was so quick to put together and its a great way to use your scraps also, this helps draw your eye to the photo which I wanted to be the focus.

Time flys or is it me getting older?

Hi, another Sunday has started and this reminds me that time is flying.... which reminds me of something that my Mother used to say ''when you get older time will fly'' and it usually end up with me responding with a ''whatever'', but now that I am older I have never been so a where of this and I catch myself reflecting a lot. Not that long ago I was going into labour with our 3 child our first girl.... ( while telling one of my scrap girlies off for being a chicken when it came to a heat gun...), she just turned 3 last month!

So with that in mind how time flies I am sharing with you today a simple layout using the Webster's Lets Celebrate range and its perfect for birthday layouts, and perfect for a little girls 2nd birthday.

For the background I have used yellow paper straws perfect if you have left overs from the party and a special reference to that special day.

I love the Webster's trims I wanted to mimic that lovely cupcake on her shirt , don't forget the journal cards are perfect titles.

And why not add a little mini invite to the page it gives you enough room for all the important details of that special day.

Spring is here..... well it must be I am sunburnt!!!

How are you this fine Sunday morning? The last couple days over here in the West has reminded me that it is Spring, even with a little bit of sunburn from my kids sport carnival on Friday. With that in mind and loving the spring blooms I would love to share with you my latest design team kit from Sassy Scrapper's.... and I am loving this range!!!

Webster's Lets Celebrate.... and it couldn't be more perfect for our first BLOG HOP too!!!!

Cant go past the fussy cut, perfect if your budget wise as it adds instant depth and interest. For me its a thing I do at night time will there are mindless things on TV and the kids are tucked in bed (might have a scrapping obsession but I cant be the only one... Can I?)

A journaling card make a perfect instant title, just cut around the printed shape and add a little foam mount.

To add more interest in your fussy cut flowers add a singular Prima Bloom, it also adds contrast and perfect if your on a budget.

The journaling cards are a perfect thing to add behind your photos either as a photo mat or hidden journaling.

Wondering were I got all those extra blooms....

Be Bold.... Be Vibrant !!!!

Good Morning how are you all this Sunday morning? Myself, I am a little bit tired had a 12 hour crop yesterday and when ever I get home from these it takes forever fro my brain to switch off. I wish I could say it was from being productive but at the most I have only ever complete 3 layouts for the 12 hours..... one day I will change that but its great to go and socialize and talk to other adults instead of being interrupted every 2 mins cause you sat down lol.

Today I am sharing another layout using Prima's Sunrise Sunset range, and I wanted to make its a vibrant one for you this week.

See I told you it was vibrant but there's something nice about the pink and orange combination. And all I did was lift the colours from the pattern paper itself, I went over the top of the design and made colours really concentrated.

If you have singular flower layer some together to make a fuller more life like flower.

I also added a Crafters Workshop template on the page, just add a little texture paste and mist over the top with your Dylusions mist and bled the colours together.

Crazy hour inspiration....

Good morning, Rikki here to share my latest creation using the fabulous Prima Sunrise Sunset Collection.

Have you ever had one of those great ideas that you just couldn't pull off? well this is where the layout came from.... I wanted to show off the collection with out all the inking this week, but for the life of me it wasn't happening. But at 5 pm the inspiration hits right in the middle of the crazy hour!!! Then begs the question of what to do.... scrap or cook dinner?

I love this sheet of Prima Sunrise Sunset paper, with its bold watercolour effect, and considering it would take a lot of time to create that myself its a great time saver.

The sewing machine is a great way to add interest and unity in all your pieces of background papers, it helps tie in all the layers. Also keep your scraps, they can make a nice photo corner.

What's not to love about Prima Flower's!!! don't forget to team them with a little bit of KaiserCraft resin.....

Flu season and I am over it !!! but perfect to create.

Morning all.... I am still here just posting late, flu session has kick into gear in our household and I wish it would just hurry up and leave I have given it its eviction notice however we might have a squatter, but enough about our poor health I hope that you are all well.

This months kit from Sassy Scrapper's arrived on my doorstep the other day ( middle of being sick, you know that part where you think "just take me out and shoot me"), and I must say it made my day, why wouldn't it? it was a box full of the lovely Sunrise Sunset collection. So prepare to get messy this month, my hands are already a multicoloured mess!!!

The best part about this range of papers is the backgrounds give you a guide of how to ink and mist your layout. To start pick your colours out in Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Dylusion mists. When you trim your paper don't forget to keep the off cuts as you can use them as background paper strips.

Theres a number of different charms and trinkets that you can use to layer, and dont forget a trip to hubby's shed or bunnings.......

A bit of texture paste through a template will add interest and when you splatter you Dylusions mist it will make that section darker. This range of pattern papers holds up really well against a lot of moisture from the mists and inks and its beautiful to distress, with your distressing tool.

As you can see the Prima Sunrise Sunset range has these beautiful dull gold flowers and you can add you Dylusion mist to add depth in the colours.
