Summer Wind
Happy beautiful Thursday everyone! It's Joni here, with a little card to let you know that you're in my thoughts. ;) I colored up Summer Wind in a softer palette, then added a rub on sentiment from Hobby Lobby. Krista's images are so much fun to play with, because their personalities change depending on the color scheme.
As a reminder, be sure to grab all the images that you've had your eye on before it's too late! We're on the countdown to the final weeks of Saturated Canary, and I know that there's so many digis that you need for your collection. ;)
Have a beautiful day everyone, thank you so much for stopping by the blog!

Rhino and His Boy
Happy 5th of July everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend, full of fireworks, friends, and family. :)
It's Joni here, with a CAS card that I made with Rhino and His Boy:
I colored these friends with copics, then used the colorless blender to add some texture to Rhino.
This paper is from Simple Stories {24/7}, and the sentiment is a rub on from American Crafts.
You can find Rhino and His Boy here at Krista's shop, along with pages and pages of images that you must have for yourself. ;)
Have a beautiful day everyone, thank you for coming by!

Girls Only!
Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you are having a great week so far. :) It's Joni here, with a tribute to this crazy heat wave here on the East Coast. Yay. At least these Spring Break, Girls Only crew know how to live it up! I had so much fun coloring up this trio, trying out fun shading on their cute physiques. I paired them with the Paper Studio{A Day at the Beach}, an American Crafts rub on, and colored them up with copics.
Don't forget to hop over to the store to pick up all the Saturated Canary images you've had your eye on! We're on the countdown (sniff sniff) to the store closing at the end of August. :(
To lighten the mood, I thought I'd post this here as a follow up to my Spring Break card:
teehee!
Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Play Ball!
Happy beautiful Thursday everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful week thus far? It's Joni here, with a card that took me out of my comfort zone, but that's what we're supposed to do every now and then, right? ;) Krista's images are always a joy to color up, but it was the theme of this image that had me stressed out. I'm a football/volleyball/soccer/basketball gal, so baseball is way out of my league. (No more puns, I promise.)
However, Baseball Girl was just too cute:
There was something about her baseball cap and its fun shadow that inspired me. I decided to keep it an all Americana color scheme, added a vintage baseball sports page, then finished off with an American Crafts rub on sentiment.
Be sure to pick up all the images you've been wanting, you can find all of Krista's amazing work here at her shop.
Thank you for stopping by to see me, have a beautiful day everyone!

Inked Pretty
Happy beautiful Friday, everyone! I hope June is treating you well, we are finally celebrating Summer here in South Carolina, and the weather sure is showing it! That's a great excuse to stay indoors and craft if you ask me. ;)
I'm here today with a card featuring the beautiful Inked Pretty:
With all of Krista's images I get a little intimidated with her intricate ones, but this beauty deserved a feature! I colored her up using copics, then added a Be Fearless sentiment. I kept the base of the card pretty simple, just to keep her showcased. :)
We are on the countdown (sniff sniff) to watching the Saturated Canary fly off into the sunset at the end of August. I'm so proud of Krista for venturing into new passions; be sure to purchase all the images that you've had your eye on from her shop here.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone, thank you for coming by the blog!

Morning.
Happy Friday, friends! It's Joni here and I am so happy the weekend is here!
I wish I could spend the entire day in my robe and get a jump start to laziness (lol) but we're not all as lucky as Morning:
This is a revised version of an original image, but I think all of them are just perfect in any form. ;) I wanted to keep this cutie in black, white, and pink, but didn't want to have the robe merge with her hair. Easy fix: make the robe patterned! With a white Inkessential gel pen, I added a grid pattern to differentiate her outfit from her locks. I added a doily and an American Crafts rub on to another scrap piece of paper. Easy peasy, if only I woke up looking like this. You can find Morning here at Krista's shop, be sure to spoil yourself before the shop closes at the end of August!
Have a beautiful weekend everyone, thank you for being you!

Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty is adorable, isn't she?
She reminds me a lot of Rapunzel from Tangled with this hair color. I need to find her a Flynn. teehee!
I paired her with a rub on sentiment from Stampin' Up and papers from Simple Stories {Vintage Bliss}. I kept the layout pretty simple because the flower patterned paper was so pretty with this beauty. You can find her here at Krista's shop, along with the other dozens of must haves before the shop closes end of August. {sniff}
Have a beautiful day everyone, thanks so much for swinging by the blog!

Beach Baby
Happy beautiful Tuesday, everyone! It's hard to wake up and discover that it's sooo cold here in April. It's also harder to believe that two weeks ago I was on a beach in Hawaii with my bff, watching the waves and digging my toes in the sand!
In honor of warmer memories (heehee) I decided to color up Beach Baby for today's card:
I used more nautical copic colors on this cutie, then added an American Crafts rub on sentiment. It's always fun to dig through scraps of patterned papers and put them to good use, so I played off of her polka dotted skirt and hand cut some fun bunting for embellishments:
You can find this sweetie right here in Krista's shop, so be sure to load up on all of your favorite Saturated Canary images before August 31st! Krista has made the announcement that she will be moving on to other designing projects and will be closing down her store. Help us make the remaining months a big, fun farewell! <3
Thank you for stopping in, have a great day everyone. :)

Let's Be Bunnies!
"Hoppy" Monday, everyone! teehee! I hope your weekend went well. :) It's Joni here, with a cute pair of friends from the shop. This digi sure is a current favorite with spring officially starting, and Easter just around the corner!
Here's my card for the day, featuring Let's Be Bunnies:
I was gifted this beautiful set of patterned papers from a friend in Hawaii, and just knew I had to pair it with this image. Let's Be Bunnies is a fun one to color up, especially with her content furry friend in her arms. I added a flourish die and die border, a coordinating ribbon, then finished it off with a rub on sentiment and doodled squiggly lines as a frame.
Stop by the shop to pick up this cutie, as well as the other images that Krista has drawn up for the season. They're just too cute not to add to your cart. ;) Be sure to join the Facebook group as well {Saturated Canary Stamps}, because she sure spoils us there with surprise sales and discounts.
Have a wonderful day everyone, thank you for coming by to see me!

Egg-stra Pretty
Happy beautiful Monday, everyone!
It's Joni here, with a new sweetie from the shop that Krista drew up for the season. Egg-stra Pretty sure is something, isn't she? I used a different copic combo that I found online (E00, E11, E21) and I kind of really like it with black hair. :) She's such a girlie girl, so I paired her with Simple Stories paper {Vintage Bliss} and a layout from Deconstructed Sketch (if you need some inspiration, Jen had the most amazing sketches for her challenge blog!).
Be sure to pop in to the shop to pick up all the adorable Easter and seasonal digis that Krista has created. They are sooo beautiful and, well, truly a breath of fresh spring air!
Have a wonderful day everyone, thank you for coming by to say hello!

Selfie Time
Happy Friday, friends! It's Joni here with a cutie patootie from Krista's shop. I made a CAS card featuring the adorable Sarah Emily Selfie:
She resembles my youngest daughter, so I put her in her favorite color yellow. I added a rub on sentiment for this sweet selfie photo, then added a photo corner to balance it out. You can find Sarah Emily here at Krista's shop, which is a wonderful place to spend some time as well as a few dollars. ;)
I hope she made you smile! Have a great day everyone, and a wonderful weekend!

Book Club
Happy Friday everyone!
It's Joni here, on this chilly start to the weekend. I'm so ready for spring, aren't you? The saddest sight for me is when our home improvement store has their empty garden section gated off. I can't wait to see all the flowers overflowing on their shelves soon, and hearing the birdies sing outside!
Until then, I'm pretty much a homebody, usually baking, crafting, and of course reading...
While I don't look anything like this cutie Book Club, I am part of one online! We're currently reading the Fifth Wave (I'm actually re-reading, as I have the Infinite Sea waiting on my nightstand and it's been a while since I've picked it up). She was colored in copics to wish my daughter's friend a happy birthday, then paired with coordinating pastel papers.
Thank you for stopping by to see me, I hope you all have wonderful plans for the weekend ahead!

Sick of Being Sick
Well, not me - but just this cute image. :)
Happy Friday evening, everyone! This late post is brought to you by a second grade bowling alley field trip and inclement weather everywhere. teehee! No complaints here, as it ended up being a very fun day and now an even snugglier evening.
I colored up Sick of Being Sick in more muted tones, and of course in a queasy green:
(I don't know how Krista does it, but even her under the weather girls are so adorable!) I used a rub on sentiment and ribbon from Stampin' Up, and added some scrap papers to match her nightie and overall gray scheme. I had so much fun with this image, but I certainly don't want anyone to feel like this though. ;)
Have a wonderful weekend, thank you for stopping by. Stay bundled wherever you are!

Warming up with Neeve
Happy beautiful Friday everyone! It's Joni here, with a little love to end the week. I colored up the adorable Neeve (available in a bundle HERE) as she's one of my all time favorites. I love that Krista's images have so many clothing possibilities to design around: I added little white hearts to Neeve's top with a white Inkessentials pen, then lightly went over her pants with a N2 Copic to turn it into plaid. So much fun to coordinate with your patterned papers! The sentiment is a rub on from Hobby Lobby, and I bought that fun heart ribbon from the dollar spot at Target.
I hope you all have great plans for the weekend. If it's lazy and chilly, be sure to stop by Krista's shop to spoil yourself with some new digis to color up! :) Thank you for coming by to see me!

Korra's Christmas Sweater
Happy Monday everyone!
Joni here, hoping you had a great weekend. :) I was both lazy and productive - which translates to a great combo. I finished up all of my wrapping and even took a two hour nap yesterday. A rarity indeed!
With my entire family in the holiday spirit, I was so excited to color up this cutie Korra:
She is a part of Another Bunch of Digis (9 images total!) for an amazing price of $8. Korra does not come with that ugly sweater - but I thought she'd be adorable in one. I colored her up in copics, then left a blank area to sketch out a simple tree. No sweater would be complete without over the top bling and matching tights. :) I paired her with someloud fun patterned paper from Michaels {Recollections}.
You can find Korra here along with all the other perfect digis from Saturated Canary here at Krista's shop. Have a wonderful day everyone! Thank you for stopping by to say hello. :)

First Snow
Happy Monday, everyone!
It's Joni here, in serious disbelief that it's the middle of December. Oh. My. Goodness. This is the fastest month in the entire year! Nevertheless, I am celebrating the season with Krista's First Snow image:
It's going to be 75* today here in South Carolina, so I am living December vicariously through this beauty. :) I colored her up in copics, then cut her with the window technique. At first it's always daunting to think that you're slicing up an already colored image (ack!), but the results are always such a fun, optical illusion. I used an embossed snowflake folder for the main card, then added a snowflake embellishment to the top window.
You can find First Snow here at Krista's shop, as well as sooo many beautiful, new releases. Be sure to treat yourself to some, especially since you've been on the 'nice' list all year! (*wink wink*)
Have a great day everyone, thank you for coming by.

Here's Braid {one of three digis in a set}:
She has the sweetest hairdo, doesn't she? I'm sure her personality changes with different hues, I can't wait to see what you all do with this image! I colored her up with fall-ish copics, added white dots with an Inkessential gel pen, then paired her with Recollections papers from Michaels.
You can find Braid (who was just released!) at Krista's shop along with the other dozens of beautiful Saturated Canary digis. 'Tis the season to spoil yourself! *wink wink*

Mother Mary
Happy Friday, everyone! :) It's Joni here, sharing a couple makes made with the beautiful Mother Mary. She seems to be a new DT favorite with the holidays quickly approaching! I always love trying out different color schemes with Saturated Canary images, just to show how brilliant Krista is as a designer.
First up is a black and white card that I made with a pop of yellow:
And here is one that I made with a more colorful palette, inspired by the Altitude paper collection {Bo Bunny}:
I just adore the way Krista's images come to life, no matter what your style or color preferences are! Thank you for stopping by the blog today, be sure to spoil yourself at the Saturated Canary shop and visit on Facebook to share your lovely samples. Have a beautiful day everyone, and a wonderful weekend! <3

Which Witch?
Happy Tuesday, everyone! :) It's Joni here, hoping you're having a great start to the week.
With Halloween quickly approaching, I wanted to color up the adorable Witchkeys image from Krista. The problem was, I couldn't decide which papers I wanted to use, so I made two different samples!
Having two older sisters, and three daughters of my own, I'm automatically drawn to images of three girls. The funny thing is, I can name which witch is which in the family. hahaha! That's me pouting on the far left, my oldest sister (nicknamed "Princess" - seriously) in the middle, and my sweet sister Jen on the far right. When it comes to my own daughters, that's Lily (youngest) on the left, the oldest daughter (Nala) in the middle, and the sweet one is Maali. So basically, this matches birth order quite perfectly. teehee!
Be sure to grab a Halloween image or two for your fun coloring this weekend, there's still plenty of time to trick or treat yourself! You can spoil yourself here at Krista's shop. Have fun and thank you for stopping by to see me!

It's Makeup Time!
Happy beautiful Tuesday everyone! It's Joni here, hoping you are all enjoying the lovely change in seasons and all the excitement it brings. :) I am getting a jump start on my holiday cards and thought it would be fun to use this sweet image of Krista's:
Makeup Time is so festive, isn't she? Just a classic cutie for any occasion! I paired her with Bo Bunny's Altitude Collection, a rub on sentiment, Martha Stewart snowflakes, and a bit of bling with rhinestones and ribbon. The silver and neutral colors were fun to play with; normally I love a lot of color but I think I'll be making up a few more of these!
You can find Makeup Time here in Krista's lovely shop, and, with my permission, go ahead and spoil yourself with a few more of her gorgeous digital images. ;)
Thank you for stopping in to say hello, have a wonderful day!
