Just a Journal Entry

This is just for my records.

Sohpia is walking!  She is 14 months old right now, will be 15 months on October 6, 2012.  She hasn't got it quiet down, but she falls, gets up and walks.  She is pretty unsteady on her feet, but she keeps getting up.  I think she wants to be able to go where her brother goes.  She is growing up so fast and changing.  Her personality has started to change since 11 months old.  She started to discontent with just watching.  It's like she decided she wanted to start exploring her world and she started to have an opinion on everything.  So different from my sweet, content little girl.  Not bad, just different.  She is still sweet though.  She loves men.  Especially older, over weight men.  Grandpa, neighbor.  In fact, I went into Olive Garden once with her to pick up a to go order and this man sitting at the bar just held his hands out to her and she went.  In stark contrast, my neighbor Melissa, has known Sophie for 7 months now, we are over there all the time talking and playing but Sophie still cries if I leave her with Melissa.  Melissa doesn't like to say the least.  =)

Kaden, oh Kaden.  Scott and I were arguing in the car with the kids in the back.  About half way though Kaden starts yelling at me saying: "Mommy, you know yell at my daddy.  He is my friend.  And he is your friend too!"  Scott and I just looked at each other, dumfounded.  Kaden did teach me a valuable lesson that day, Scott is my friend and I need to treat him like a friend.  Kaden loves to say NO.  Even when you know he wants it.  He also loves to roughhouse with mom.  He always has though.  But I guess I'm noticing it more because he is getting rougher and stronger.  He has no desire to be potty trained.  My goal is to get him potty trained before we go on our Disney land cruise.  I am not bringing diapers for both kids.  No way.  Note to self, bring lots of extra clothes for Kaden on the cruise.  He is a sweet boy though.  He watches out for Sophie all the time.  It makes her mad sometimes but I always try to reinforce how happy I am that Kaden watches out for his sister.  He is also a big help.  I constantly sit down to change sophie's diaper and it is poopy and I forgot the wipes.  He always brings the wipes to me.  Love that boy so much.  Love that little girl so much.
