Mixed Media Altered Embroidery Hoop with Silk Foam Flowers by Tracey

Hello dear Scrap & Craft friends!

It's Tracey back with a sweet mixed media altered embroidery hoop featuring handcrafted Silk Foam flowers along with the gorgeous Studio75 Violet Love Collection and fabulous chipboard and stamps from the Scrap & Craft Store. I really enjoyed creating this darling home decor piece!

Tips and Techniques
These beautiful flowers are created with Silk Foam colored with three purple and blue shades of oil pastels. I used the Metal Ball Tool Set from the store to shape the petals.

The gorgeous Anemone Border Botanical Chipboard piece was heat embossed in pale gold, then rubbed with amethyst art wax.

Another close-up shot of the flowers from a different angle. You can see the Artistiko Cog tucked into the cluster. The grid pattern on the background paper is stamped with the Agateria Grille Clear Stamp.

I added a bit of extra purple below the sentiment from the Violet Love collection with a watercolor marker. Bambino Glue from the store is used to adhere Prills, microbeads, mica flakes, rhinestones, and pearls.

I hope you've been inspired to grab your Scrap & Craft supplies
and create something beautiful today.

Mixed Media Art Brush with Silk Foam Flower by Tracey Sabella

Hello dear Scrap & Craft friends!

It's Tracey back to share a mixed media art brush featuring silk foam and chipboard from the Scrap & Craft Store. You can find details and close-ups below.

Tips and Techniques
This handcrafted flower is created with Silk Foam, shaped with the Metal Ball Tool Set, and colored with Distress Oxide inks. The white Mini Stamen are also from the store.

The Anemone Fabian Ornaments Chipboard and Artistiko Cog are heat embossed with pale gold embossing powder.

The wings are created with paper clay in a silicone mold, set aside to dry, then brushed with metallic paint and art wax. The metal "Art" piece is also brushed with metallic paint and wax. The brush has several layers of impasto and metallic paints along with gesso and art wax. I used Bambino Glue from the store to adhere regular and mini art stones around the cluster.

This gorgeous Misz Masz Chipboard Butterfly is brushed with metallic paint and the edges with gold art wax. Bambino Glue is a great way to adhere microbeads for a textured body.

The handle of the brush is stenciled with light molding paste. The decorative metal piece is painted and waxed like the rest of the brush and centered with a coordinating rhinestone from my stash.

I hope you've been inspired to grab your Scrap & Craft supplies
and create something beautiful today.

Yellow roses

Hello crafty friends

It's Monika today with new post and this time I made flower composition out of silk foam.
First I made the biggest rose by cutting all the petals by hand, it's a very simple and easy and you can see it on one of my old video tutorials ---> HERE
Once all the petals were ready, I took yellow ink pad and just brushed the colour on the tips of each petal. Rolled and unfolded slightly to create petal like shape and look.

To make leaves I used universal leaf mould and pressed each hand-cutted leaf against it to create natural looking veins and brushed it with a touch of green ink.

For the centre of the roses I used yellow stamens.

Silk flowers

Hello everyone

It's Monika today with this big flower and smaller bud.
I used white silk foam and added deeper pink oil pastel to create this unique color. For the leaves I used olive green foamiran, cut few, heat each and press against leaf mould to create veins. To finish off my flower composition I took some of the pink oil pastel and gently brushed it over each leaf to highlight the texture.

If you are interested how I made it then check out my video tutorial from few months ago as above flowers were made the same way as on the video.

Silk Foam Flowers

Hello everyone :)
I'm so happy to share this post with you!!
It's about new products in Scrap & Craft - SILK FOAM
If you love foamiran flowers as much as I, you will love silk foam even more :)
Silk foam is flower making foam but you DO NOT NEED to use iron to make flowers with it.
It's easier to give it desired shape, quicker to make flowers as it's and more flexible than foamiran.
Looks very similar, but feels more delicate.
I made my firs flowers with it and I just LOVE IT!!!!

I hope you will try this fantastic product and if you do please share your foam flowers to our group on FB - Handmade Foamiran Flowers :

Thank you :)
