Fantasy!!

Happy December 2nd (ack only 23 days till Christmas) everyone! I have my ladies luncheon today so I will TRY & keep this short, lol! I've got lots to do yet so let's get to it!! BTW, I changed up my blog--whatcha' think?

Both of my cards today feature new faeries from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. I love this fairy "Natasha"--she reminds me of the Bellas but more fantastical & graceful! I colored her w/ Copics to match up with this yummy dp from SU called "Urban Garden". I inked SU inks around the edges of her with my Ranger Inkssentials Blending Tool to make a woodland bg for her. I used my fern punch to create the greenery from the dp. Around the edges of the cs pieces and her wings I used my Liquid Silver pen for some extra sparkle & lots of stickles on her wings too. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps "Beautiful You"--lovee this set!

The second card uses the pixie "Sassafrass" and I wanted to make her a Snowflake pixie! The yummy dp is from Heidi Grace's new holiday line (omgoodness how I lovee this paper)! She's colored w/ Copics and stickles on her wings. The felt snowflakes are from Stampin' Up and the sentiment is from The Stampin Place, so cute!
Please stop by the SUINK blog today, as it is our fearless leader & owner Denise's birthday today! Happy Birthday Denise! My card will be up this afternoon for ya :o)
Also, tomorrow I will have Whiff of Joy Blog Candy to giveaway and its super yummy! Two stamps and some goodies to match, so make sure and check back for it!
Off I go--have a great day,
Suzanne

Red & Green!!

Hello & Happy Sunday everyone! Oopsie & sorry, but didn't have the energy to post yesterday. I usually type my blog posts up the night before, which would have been Friday night but I was soooo exhausted from taking the kids to the movies that I ran out of steam. My daughter loved the "Twilight" movie with her 9 buddies & countless other teens streaming into the theater (good thing I bought the tix early) and "Bolt" was really cute & funny (the hamster steals the show)! Then yesterday was my hubby's 41st birthday so I had to do his bidding all day---LOL--not really, but he got to spend time at the Hobby Shop & we went out to dinner!(Happy Birthday Honey, you're gettin' old, hee hee)

So I'm going with a red & green Christmas scheme for ya today since I'm busy today putting up 2 of my 8 Christmas trees & some other decorations--my goal is to be finished by next Sunday, lol! My first card uses 2 of the new Holiday Magnolia stamps that I had to put together--I think they make the cutest Mrs. Claus & Santa I evah' seen, dontcha' think? They're colored with Copics (of course) & the dp is from Daisy D's, lovee the plaid! There's stickles on his buckles, lantern & fur trim and Santa's beard & Mrs. Claus' hair has white opal liquid pearls on it--I tried to do it justice in the picture, but it is so dimensional & shiny, just fabby! Ya likee?

Second card uses this wonderful candy stamp from The Stampin' Place called "Christmas Candies & Dish". I used the SCS sketch #202 for the layout and the dp is from Basic Grey & cs is Bazzill Bling. I colored it with Copics and added stickles to the wrappers. Just a fun & sweet Christmas card!

Remember if you love Karen Lockhart Stamps, join our group "Fans of Karen Lockhart" over on Paper Craft Planet and enter for the wonderful webcandy (until Friday) put together by Susana! And remember to upload your Lockhart cards with the keyword "FKLDEC" so we can pick a winner for the group site (details on group page)!
I've also been tagged by one of my fabby blog readers Barb, so I'll be back tomorrow with my "tagging" info for ya! Big Hugz Barb!
Hope you're having a fabulous weekend and I'll see ya back here tomorrow!

Autumn Thoughts!!

Happy Monday friendly Stampers!! Sorry I didn't post anything this weekend, but the weather was so nasty with wind & rain that I couldn't take any pictures of my projects. So now I have a ton of things to share with ya this week, lol! I'm sharing two with you today!

******************************************************************
BTW, I have an announcement for ya too--I am a Guest Designer for H&M Stamps thru February, yippee!! You MUST check out Heather's awesome stamps, there's something for everyone I tell ya! I'll have a project with one of my favorite sets for ya tomorrow (didn't get a photo yet). And check out my fellow GDT gals blogs too(Dawn Easton & Cindy Lawrence)--they're super & fabulously talented!! And yes, I am SUPER BUSY right now, ROFL!!
*******************************************************************

First up is my fall card using one of the new Holiday Magnolia's that I got from Magnolia-licious. (edited--I will add link asap when it lets me,lol). I adore this fall dp from SU--lovee the colors in it. I love this Tilda cuz' she can be for so many occasions and I paired her up with this beautiful "Covered Bridge Scene" stamp from The Stampin' Place. I love this covered bridge stamp because you can color it for any season you'd like--I can't wait to ink it up again for winter and make snow on it! I used my Copics to color and added some stickles (gold & copper) to her buttons and the leaves. I also got to use my new Nestabilities (seems like it took forevah to get them) to layer with--this is the Labels 1 set(my friend Tab who owns 7 Kids College Fund has all the new ones in SUPER CHEAP, great prices). The sentiment is from PTI's "Mailbox Greetings". You likee? Some of my friends who got a sneakie peekie of this card yesterday (u know who u r :o)) said it reminded them of "The Bridges of Madison County" and I agree. Where we lived in Maryland before movin' to Virginia there were quite a few covered bridges and they were just beautiful!

Second card is one I made with my new "Whiffies" (got that from my pal Susana, lol) which is Whiff of Joy of course! This new stamp is called "Herb with Baby" and the sentiment is WOJ too. I used my favorite My Minds Eye "laundry line" dp and colored with Copics. This layout was last weeks SCS sketch #202 & I used it for this card and another I'll share later in the week (I flipped the sketch around). I lovee the soft colors and these snowman images are just the cutest, IMO!! If you haven't ordered yours and you really want some, REMEMBER they will not be available for very long, so get ordering already, lol!! Two stores here in the US that carry them are Roses on Paper and All That Scraps if you're nervous about ordering from overseas (although you shouldn't cuz Katharina is fabulous & gets them to you super quick)!

That's all I gots for ya today! Hope your week is starting off well & see ya back here tomorrow...

Winter Town!

Hi everybody & Happy Thursday! Oh its a cold & dreary day here in VA--perfect for working on projects all day, hee hee! We had some major computer issues with our family computer last nite, seems that one of those trojan horse viruses ate our hard drive-aaacckk! I'm hoping it doesn't get my laptop cuz' my life is on here, lol--I'm faithfully backing it up though! Hopefully we will be able to save the other computer, we'll see...so aggravating ya know.

So here is my one and only creation for your eyes today! And wowsers it did take me awhile to do this, lol! I got my Holiday Magnolia's from Diana yesterday and couldn't wait to ink all these cuties up. This is "Dalecarlia Coat Tilda" from Magnolia-licious--this is the first image I saw that I knew I HAD to have, love her detailed coat & tilted head (btw Dalecarlia is a province in Sweden).

And I had to pair her up with another background stamp by The Stampin' Place--this one is "Winter Town". Ya know how I adore my bg stamps and this one was super fun to color too although it did take awhile. There are lotsa details on this card so click it to make it larger if ya need to. The snow on the house roofs is from my DecoArt SnowWriter, snow on land & trees is liquid applique w/ diamond stickles on top. The windows and skating pond has a smooth layer of diamond glaze on top for a nice glassy shine. There's also some extra Glitz Stickles on the icicles.

Everything was colored w/ Copics and Tilda was cut out and popped up w/ dimensionals. The dp is from SU's holiday line "Alpine". The inside sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farm's "Mona Lisa-Christmas Expressions". So whatcha' think--I lovee it & want to frame it for the holidays!

Some quick newsies for ya & then I'm done, lol! I got all my new Nestabilities from 7 Kids College Fund & can't wait to use them--check 'em out if you haven't already! And don't forget that Paper Trey Ink is having their release party tomorrow night at 10 pm (EST)--their new stamps & paper are a must have (at least for a fan like me, lol)! See ya tomorrow w/ some Red, White & Blue projects.

Feeling Fall!!

Happy Thursday everyone! Can you believe the weekend is almost here again? Before ya know it it's Christmas--aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I'm sooooo not going to be ready, lol! My to-do list is long, my craft list is long & the holiday parties list is too long!! Not to mention the boxes & boxes of holiday decorations I have to put up--remember I put up 8 Xmas trees every year & this year I might add another one (hmmm...we'll see)--I think I may be CRAZY for sure, hee hee!

*****************************************************************
***BLOG CANDY ALERT--If you haven't entered for my Christmas Blog Candy yet, see the post below for all the details including how you can enter for a SECOND CHANCE candy over at my friends store Susana's Custom Art & Card Design!!***
******************************************************************

I wanted to share a couple of pictures of my kiddos dressed up for Halloween this past Friday. My son wanted to be a 40's gangsta (a la Bonnie & Clyde) & that is a FAKE cigarette & gun from the party store so don't worry, lol! My daughter was a woodland fairy & thankfully the weather wasn't too cold for this outfit this year :o)

They got oodles of candy, but we're going to donate most of it to some local nursing homes. We're not big candy eaters here and I hate for it to go to waste (but I do love those Tootsie Rolls, lol)! My Halloween decorations are put away, Thanksgiving wreath is up & Christmas is soon on the way!!

Speaking of fall, I wanted to share a card I made using some new Magnolia Stamps that I got from Diana at Magnolia-licious. Diana is having a 30% off sale off of alot of the fall stamps & some others thru Nov. 8th so get over there and check it out before they're all gone! I had to have this Edwin cuz' I think he is such a cutie in his lil' overalls and I thought these mushrooms were so whimsical looking. Everything was colored w/ my Copics and I added diamond glaze to the mushroom caps. The dp is new from Basic Grey's "Granola" paper pad--perfect for those boy/masculine cards that we all need from time to time. I paper pierced the edges and then inked up the edges of the cream cs w/ some brown ink. The sentiment is from PTI's "Limitless Labels" and those are silver & gold Robin's Nest dew drops around the circle.

My last card today uses a stamp from The Stampin' Place called "Snowman & Critters Frame" & I was so drawn to it because (1) I LOVE snowmen and (2) I loved how the animals were illustrated & I knew it would be fun to color! Make sure and check out all their stamps & supplies, not only because they're fabulous but because they're having a HUGE SALE thru Nov. 9th (25% off all stamps & 15% off all supplies)!! I colored this with my Copics again and paired it up with this fun dp by MME "tres jolie"--love red & aqua together. I used my CB embossing folder on the base and added some highlights to it w/ my Inkssentials pen. I double-upped my ribbons and added some stickles to the snowflakes and snowman! I love it, whatcha' think?

Ok, I have a few gift projects to share with you all tomorrow if I can get everything done in time. BTW, have you seen all the new Stickles (Glitz & Distress)--they are FAB-U-LOUS & you can get them here! I'll show you some things made with them tomorrow! Have a great Thursday! Until tomorrow...

Christmas Fun!!

Hello & welcome to the weekend---Yee Haw! I'm working on a couple of projects and then headed to our friends Halloween party for awhile. Its supposed to be cold and rainy here, yucko--where oh where has my warm weather gone! And its only like 59 days until Christmas---ackkkkkkkk, where does the time go. I have so much to get done before then that it makes me feel nauseous, hee hee!! Oh well, day by day I guess! Let me get thru Halloween first!!

Both of my cards today use stamps from The Stampin' Place--lovee their stuff. I have to tell you I had soooo much fun coloring this Santa's Workshop that it shouldn't be legal, lol! I colored with my Copics and added diamond glaze (I lovee this stuff & use it constantly-wish I could buy it by the gallon) to the window panes and the paint on the floor. Their caps also have liquid applique on them. There are a few stickles in there and I used my Spica Atyou pens too. The dp is from Hot Off The Press--great small prints; flowers are by Prima. The sentiment is from The Stampin' Place too--I made the tag using my Fiskars corner punch. Do you likee?

The second card was so fun to do too. I used the SCS sketch #199 again (omgoodness I love this sketch--I made 3 cards using it). I love this snowman image looking up to the sky like he's trying to catch the snow and the sentiment is too fun--cracks me up! The dp is DCWV paired w/ SU's pacific point cs (1st time I've used this color). I used my DecoArt SnowWriter again for the snow around the base of the snowman (lovee this stuff--dries super quick too). Those bee-u-tiful snowflakes are diecuts from The Stampin' Place too--you get 64 of them in 4 colors and sizes for only $5.95, can't beat that with a stick. The brads are from them too--so fun!

Well I hope you're enjoying your weekend and that you enjoyed my cards today too! See ya around tomorrow (I'm taking the day off but I have a post planned for ya)!

Stampin' Madness!!

Hiya everyone and Happy Tuesday! I'm feeling good today so hopefully that means I get lots done cuz' I got lots to do, lol! I'm also seeing that I'm getting close to 50,000 hits--woohoo! That means some awesome blog candy coming your way & it's Christmas themed!! So thanks to each and everyone of you that visit my lil' ole blog everyday---love ya!

Ok, I'm sure you're just eagerly awaiting my NEWs aren't ya? Hee, Hee! Well the owner of The Stampin' Place, Sally asked me a few weeks ago to be a designer for her store. Can I get a woo-hoo from ya. You know how much I lovee all their background stamps, but did you know they also have awesome stamps that aren't bg's---you'll be seeing some real soon. They also carry everything under the sun for all your stampin' needs to so get over there and check 'em out! So in honor of my new DT position I made a card for ya in 2 different ways using one of their wonderful stamps!!

I wanted to show you that these bg stamps are versatile, you can use them with an image like I've done with my Magnolia stamp or alone--I like both versions! This bg stamp is called "Wintry Lamp Scene" & I lovee it especially that cute lil' snowman in the bg! The Magnolia image (Tilda on Kicksled) can be purchased at Magnolia-licious if you're interested in purchasing her. All the images were colored with Copics and if you click on the picture to make larger you'll see I used diamond glaze on the lamp post's glass lights & sled rails. I also used a new product I found while perusing my new Joann's store and its called SnowWriter by DecoArt (I even looked it up for ya). Its like liquid applique except you don't have to heat it, it comes out puffy and you can add glitter to it while its still wet. Really cool--I used it on the trees, roofs and snow drifts. The snowflakes were done with my new Marvy snowflake punches from PTI and I added some fun, sparkly buttons to the centers. I also used my Inkssentials pen on the snowflakes and Tilda. This yummy dp is new by SU this holiday season--I lovee the colors which I paired with Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze & Blue Bayou. So whatcha' think?

My last image I'm sharing with you is an JATC I made for a swap I was in. I've never made the Jumbo ATC's before but it was really fun. I guess the idea behind the JATC's is that you can use them to make a card quickly. I hope the ladies in my swap like this one. This is "Tilda w/ Lantern" and the pine tree forest was actually done with just a single tree stamp from Alota Rubber Stamps. I stamped a forest lightly w/ my dk brown inkpad and then added liquid applique to some of the branches. Tilda was colored w/ Copics and her lantern has diamond glaze on it too. The sentiment is from PTI's "Merry & Bright" set that I embossed in white. I wanted it to look as though she was heading out for a winter's walk at night so I used the blue cs for a nighttime effect. What do you think? Think they'll like them?

Ok, that's all from me today. I have deadlines to catch up on and a super-long post again for ya tomorrow cuz' its Wednesday--which means challenges day. Some good stuff comin'!!

Suzanne

From My House to Yours...!!!

Hello and Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderfull weekend! I had a great one visiting with my mom and sister and just hanging out. Yesterday after they left I got to spend some quality time in my craft room finishing up some projects for ya this week. And guess what else....we had a gigantic vulture in our front yard yesterday eating a dead, 3 ft long black snake---ewwwwww! My hubby took care of it this time, while I stood inside, lol! What is it with the wildlife liking my yard? Go away snakes, I'm sick of ya!!

The card I'm sharing with you today is another Christmas card (hey, gotta start 'em early ya know)!! I used another Magnolia stamp from their fall kit (if you missed out on this kit, the individual stamps will be for sale soon and the winter kit can now be pre-ordered here). I love this lil' Tilda in her nightgown giggling like she has a secret and can't wait for Santa!! The background stamp is from The Stampin Place again (told ya I have lots of them in store for ya)--they work beautifully with the Magnolias. Diana Crick's store will be opening this week--I'll post everything as soon as her site is up and running so you can order lots of Magnolias :) !!!

Pretty simple card layout, but this card has lots goin' on! I used diamond glaze on the glass of milk, candles and clock face for shine. I used my Atyou Spica pens for subtle glitter in lots of spots and stickles on the flames in the fireplace. The stockings have liquid applique on them for a textural puffed look. I also added some Gel-tins scented powder in pine to the garland--smells wonderful, like fresh cut xmas trees. The dp and cs is from SU. The sentiment is again from PTI's "Holiday Wishes" (lovee that set) and I added red glitterdots to the corners.

So whatcha' think! This card only took me about 1.5 hours, so not too bad and it was really fun to put together and color. I'll be making about 5 more of these to send out for the holidays too. Hope ya have a great day and I'll see ya back here tomorrow!

Suzanne

No Snow!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope the beginning of your week has been swell so far. I don't have any icky animal stories for ya today, lol! But we are having some beautiful weather, yesterday it was in the 70's and all of windows are wide open :) I have also restocked my fridge with 4 cases of Cherry Coke (my main addicition after stamps and supplies, hee hee) and I am ready to finish up my many projects this week!!

Don't forget to check out Katharina's blog (of Whiff of Joy) to see how you can become the next Guest Designer! And Bev, my fellow DT member for Whiff of Joy has her yummy blog candy up on her blog (until the 22nd) so go enter for that too! And the wonderful Elisabeth Bell has candy up for grabs on her blog too! They all have sneak peeks of some new stamps to come--beautiful!! Lots of low-fat candy for ya too :)

Onto my card for today. Ya know how sometimes you just get stuck in a certain "stamp" mood---well right now I'm obssessed with my Magnolia stamps. I just love 'em and they're so much fun to use and put in "scenes". I have a bunch of these scene cards to share with you over the next couple of weeks--I am on a stamping roll right now, lol!!

This background stamp came from The Stamping Place again---they have so many cute ones (and yes I bought most of them, oh my). I pulled out my favorite wintertime dp from Memory Box called "Frost"--I love the soft colors and I based the card colors on this one particular pattern. This is Tilda with Sled (Diana does not carry this stamp, but maybe if we all beg her she can get it in if you really like it...:)) BTW, Diana informed us that her webshop Magnolia-licious will be open for business next week---yippee!!! You can still contact her at magnolia.us@shaw.ca for ordering info of these adorable Magnolia stamps.

After coloring both images with my Copics, I added liquid applique and diamond stickles to the the snow drifts for dimension and sparkle. I layered snowflakes in the corner and added white glitter dots to the center. The sentiment is from PTI's "Holiday Wishes" set--a must have for the holidays, lovee it! Since A Spoonful of Sugar's challenge this week is to make a Christmas card--I think this works, right!

Hope ya like it! I'll be back tomorrow with some "animals" for ya (the cute & cuddly kind tho)!
