Avec des tampons de Carabelle Studio, des bâtons Gelato et des marqueurs Big Brush, j'ai composé ces 2 pages dans le petit journal artistique Dylusions et je me suis bien amusée. Mis à part la citation, tout a été estampillé avec des encres de couleur. C'est une nouvelle expérience pour moi et j'ai bien aimé. Les tampons que j'ai utilisés sont offerts dans les deux langues: en français et en anglais… et cela d'une compagnie française. Génial!

I put together this fun page in the small Dylusions journal using Carabelle Studio stamps, Gelato sticks and Brig Brush artist pens. Apart from the quote, everything was stamped with colored Archival Inks - no black! It gives it that painterly look and most of the contrast comes from shadows. I did outline the flowers but it doesn't hide the stamped lines. Although the quote is in French, all the stamp sets I've used are also available in English.

Comme mission cette semaine, on m'a donné 2 tampons de visages et j'ai rajouté avec 4 pochoirs, 6 couleurs de Silks et 6 couleurs de Golden Fluids. Et ça fonctionne! Je m'en suis sortie en restant avec 2 couleurs principales dans des tons différents. Puis j'ai ajouté quelques touches chaudes avec des jaunes, des oranges et de l'or. J'ai un truc pour renverser une image de tampon à partager avec vous. Tout y est dans la vidéo-clip. Bonne création!

For this week's video I was given 2 face stamps to which I added 4 stencils, 6 colors of Silks and 6 colors of acrylic paints. It works because I stayed with blues and violet in various tones. Then I added a few touches of warm colors by using yellows, oranges and a bit of gold. I'm also sharing a trick to get a mirrored impression of your stamps. It's easy and you can find all the details and the full supplies list in the video below.

Je l'ai ouvert au centre et vous ai préparé une double-page avec des pochoirs d'Andy Skinner, de la pâte à modeler, une technique de glaçis et de la cire métallique. There's nothing like opening a new small Dylusions journal! The one I used up until now is full of ideas and inspiration for you to look at since it will now stay permanently at the store. I opened my fresh journal to the center pages and went to town with Andy Skinner's stencils, molding paste, glazing and gilding metallic wax. So much fun! The small Dylusions art journal I've been using for over a year is now complete. All the pages have been "art-ed". To celebrate the occasion, I decided to alter the cover using the wonderful Dylusions paints by Dyan Reaveley. Un petit mot court pour une si grande signification. L'inspiration pour cette page m'est venue du pochoir de rayons de soleil de Sheena et "Free Spirit" de Jamie Dougherty. Un beau mariage, surtout quand on ajoute le PanPastel!

A small word that means so much. The inspiration for this page came to me from two stencils: "Burst" by Sheena and "Free Spirit" by Jamie Dougherty. A perfect match, especially when you add PanPastel to the mix!

Hier je me suis amusée avec des nouvelles couleurs de Gelato, l'ensemble Bali, des tampons et un pochoir de Dina Wakley, et un pochoir de TCW. Et quand je vous dis que je me suis amusée, je n'exagère pas! J'ai également incorporé une nouvelle poudre de paillettes de My Besties qui, mélangée avec de l'eau et vaporisée, m'a donné un effet éclatant. I had so much fun playing with the Gelato sticks yesterday! I used some existing colors as well as the new yummy Bali set. Oh well, let me tell you how much fun it was. My page is colorful, just like I like them, and the butterflies made with Dina Wakley's stamps add the perfect touch. Of course, I used 2 stencils and a bit of modelling paste. Du changement à nos rubriques sur vidéo : nous ramenons les mardis  machin-truc! Dorénavant, à chaque mardi nous vous offrirons un mélange de créations sur papier (cartes et autres) et des techniques mixtes. Puis les vendredis nous vous présenterons des vidéos de divers artistes, question de faire un peu de variété.

Le projet d'aujourd'hui est une page double dans le petit journal Dylusions. Le point de départ est un jeu de tampons de PaperArtsy (tous les produits sont listés dans la vidéo-clip ci-bas) pour créer une scène nocturne où un petit hibou y siège, perché sur des branches. Vous trouverez les photos à la fin de ce billet.

We are making some changes to our video segments -- we're bring back Tutorial Tuesdays to bring you a good variety of projects from cardmaking to mixed-media. Then on Friday, we'll post various videos from different artists just to keep it fresh!

Today's project is a double spread in the small Dylusions journal. A stamp set by PaperArtsy (all supplies listed in the video below) was the main inspiration for this piece. The background is watercolored and stenciled. Lots of fun and we hope you'll enjoy the video!

La combinaison que vous allez voir sur ces deux pages me fait penser aux Comptes des milles et une nuits. Ce sont des couleurs de PanPastel riches, accompagnées de peinture à craqueler dorée de Viva Decor. Au lieu d'un pochoir, j'ai utilisé des masques de Joggles et une citation d'Impression Obsession.
Le tout se fait assez rapidement - je vous invite à regarder la vidéo-clip pour en connaître les étapes!

Here's a page with a color combination that reminds of Arabian Nights. I used PanPastel to go over 2 masks from Joggles and I added gold crackle paint (yummm) by Viva Decor to accentuate the colors. This crackling method is quick and easy and you don't have to wait for it to dry since you can heat set it without any problems. I also love the quote by Impression Obsession which I've also used as a background for the page. You can check out the step-by-step video below and follow along as you make your own version!

Here's a double-page spread I made in the small Dylusions journal using Dina Wakley's stamps and a stencil, Viva Decor's Precious Metal Colors (yum!), Gelato sticks by Faber-Castell and some gesso! "… keeps me sane…" une belle citation qui accompagne cette page composée avec de la peinture Fresco Finish de Paper Artsy et des tampons de Dyan Reavely. Je me suis fait plaisir avec beaucoup de petits pois et du découpage!

I've done this page mainly with primary colors using Fresco Finish chalk paints by Paper Artsy and 2 stamp sets by Dyan Reavely. And if you like polka dots and paper piecing, this is one for you!
