It's now time to meet our
July Guest Designer
Ginny Hickmott

“Hello, Scrap Our Stash friends! I am really excited to have been asked to Guest Design this month by Brenda and Rochelle and I’m looking forward to seeing all your creations too!

I started scrapbooking about 8 years ago after being introduced to it by my Mum, who also scrapbooks and makes cards. I was immediately hooked and have had a passion for it ever since! I really like the fact I can join my love of taking photos of my family and keeping those memories all together through paper, creating and scrapbooking. I love joining in with challenges and sharing my work and I am now on 2 design teams.

My style I would describe as shabby chic, distressed, romantic and floral. I do step out of this comfort zone occasionally when a challenge takes me ‘off course’! But hey it wouldn’t be a ‘challenge’ then would it?!
Please come and visit me at my blog: My Crafty Madness"
GDT Ginny created the amazing layout below based on the
July Tic Tac Toe Challenge
to inspire you...
Ginny....
“I loved this Tic Tac Toe challenge board and could have used nearly all of the rows! But I chose the line Stripped Paper / Tag / Banner. All of these 3 elements are quite obvious on my layout. I quite often use banners in my work, the striped paper really makes the layout ‘pop’ and the tags finished of the embellishment clusters. I also have a journaling tag hidden in my paper layers in the top right of my page. I hope I have given you a little inspiration for this challenge and can’t wait to see what you come up with!”

Inspired by Jinny's amazing layout and/or the challenge, we would love for you to play along with us!

Return tomorrow for more July Tic Tac Toe Stash Challenge inspiration from our new Design Team
member, Maria Rose!!!
Have an awesome weekend!

I fill binders of all the children and grandchildren. I create mostly layouts, as well as cards, when needed. I like photography, I am  featured in a photo club and it is a good combination with scrapbooking .

Hi,
"My name is Judy and I am so pleased to be here at Scrap Our Stash as guest designer for the month of October. I have been scrapping for more than 10 years and over that time I have tried lots of different techniques. However, I hope I have stuck to the idea that the purpose of scrapbooking is to document life’s moments both for myself and future generations (hopefully). I live in tropical north Queensland with my husband. We are so grateful that we are able to see our children and grandchildren often and they feature in much of my work. I love many forms of creative work and have a particular passion for sewing as well as scrapbooking so I do often combine the two.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this months challenges."

Check out the incredible layout Judy created inspired by this month's book cover...
"Where is the Green Sheep?"
Judy:
"I loved “The Investigation “ challenge. I used photos of my grandson dressed up for a book week event at his school. He had chosen to disguise himself as a green sheep from the Australian children’s classic "Where is the Green Sheep? " by Mem Fox. This fits with the investigation them so well! I used clocks, a key and mustaches to embellish the page as well as the many, many question marks and of course some string. It was such a great challenge. I am looking forward to seeing your takes on this super fun challenge."

We are looking forward to seeing how this month's book cover inspires each of you!

"Hi I'm Anna and I'm from a little village in the middle of Sweden. My family of seven, hubby, five kids (21 - 3 ) and me are living at our farm, where my hubby works, and I work halftime as a hairdresser. I have to admit I'm addicted to Scrapbooking and all the pretty papers and supplies around our awesome hobby. As often as I can I love playing along at Scrap Our Stash, therefore I'm so happy and honored that Brenda and Rochelle asked me to guest this month. I´m also a member of some design teams, which is so fun and very developing. My first contact with this hobby was about 2007, mostly cardmaking. But I think my "real" start was about Fall 2012 when I discovered Scrapbooking with layouts. I mostly do traditional 12 x 12 but also letter size sometimes. My style is hard to define for me, it depends of what has inspired me at that moment. But I love rich and bright colors, layers, white space, thread and even machine stiching is often to find on my layouts.

You are more than welcome to visit me at my blog:
Anna xo

And today Anna is sharing the amazing layout she created inspired by the challenge:
"Practice In Writing"
Anna:
"I was inspired by the colors, the alphas and the school theme. The design on the book cover gave me the idea of the design of my layout. I found some pages from an old dictionary and used it with a picture wheel die. The papers as well are pretty school/alpha inspired.
Hope you found some inspiration here so you will join us for this lovely challenge."
Anna xo

Our team is looking forward to seeing how this month's book cover inspires each of you,
so go get your scrap on and share your creations with us!
Have a great day!

August Guest Designer
Devra Hunt
"I currently live in the Seattle area where I am the COO of my family, who are my husband, our two teenage boys and our awesome dog Snickers. Between the two of them, my husband and myself, I have lots of material to keep me going forever.

I've been scrapbooking for a long time. I found online scrapbooking about 5 years ago. That's when I really took off. I scrapbook for fun, for creative exercise. I scrapbook for stress release. I am not an epic storyteller, but my albums are a view into my family's life. I was in retail in my previous life. I've always loved color, texture and pattern. Scrapbooking allows me to continue to combine all of those things I love.

I do both single and 2 page 12x12 layouts. I'm not sure I can define my style, It's constantly evolving. One thing that is consistent, is that I love using product in unexpected ways to create meaning with fun and humor on my pages. My favorite thing to do on my pages right now is to create layers and clusters with paper and embellishments that come together to tell a cohesive story in the end.

You can find me socially here:
Pinterest (Gallery)"

And here is the amazing layout Devra created inspired by the challenge:
"Hello"

Devra:
"When I first looked at the book cover, I saw the maps and thought of a travel layout. The more I looked at it, the more I was attracted to the cursive writing in the hand. The script made me think about this "Hello" paper that I purposely purchased after getting tickets to see Adele in concert. It was the perfect inspiration for this challenge and to create a layout about the evening."

Devra, thank you so much for being our guest this month, and sharing your
amazing work with us!

Inspired by Devra's layout and/or our challenge?
Why not create a layout showing us how this month's challenge inspires you and
link it up by Aug 29th for a chance to win this month's prize:

January Guest Designer
Wendy Sue Bennett

"I am now officially Mum of 3 teenagers!!! The boys 18 and 17 and don’t want any more photos!!! My daughter is so photogenic and has grown up with a camera looking at her, she is now 14. Of course my hubby is tolerant of my obsession and he knows it keeps me happy. We live in country NSW Australia in a small town where the cherries are grown.

My scrapbooking started 11 years ago and over those years I have had many layouts in magazines here in Australia. Also I have featured in the Scrapbooking Memories Masters magazine for about 6 years, never got to the master level yet!

At my local scrapbooking shop I have been teaching classes there in all those years. I have the privilege of teaching sewing lessons to adults and children in the same business.

I have been a stay at home mum and still think it’s important to be there for my family, that stems from my Christian faith.

I find scrapbooking is an ever growing journey for me. I learn so much all the time and keep altering my style. I love sketch challenges they seem to be the plan I need to kick start me! I want to document and keep memories alive. However it just makes me feel so good when I scrapbook, I am convinced it’s essential for the mind.

I am also on the DT at Color Stories Inspiration , I thrive on challenges and love to share the results."

To check out more of GDT Wendy's beautiful work, visit her blog:
Scrapin Wendy

Thank you Wendy for being our guest this month, and sharing your awesome
work with us!

Take a look at the fabulous creation Wendy is sharing with us today
inspired by our challenge:

"Look Fun"
Wendy:
"This challenge took considerable thought! I had to use red and white stripe reflecting the hat! Blue was also essential and I could only find the right colour in my scraps, I tried hard to keep white space as this is a dominant feature too!

I found this quote from the book and thought that would guide me to the photo I needed!
Paint splatters are just fun to do so I added all colours!!!
I have added some random embellishments as Dr Suess is like that too!"

Inspired by Wendy's layout and/or our challenge?   We would love to see what
you create based on this challenge!

Thank you for stopping by and return tomorrow to meet our first
designer for this term and to see the awesome inspiration she created
to share with you, inspired by our January Stash Challenge!
