"Us" Layout by DT Elena

Today's awesome inspiration is the creative work of DT Elena,
inspired by our
June Sketch Challenge:
Elena:
"We have spent together more than half of our lives together(23 years).  We did school together, traveled together, we moved in together, we got married and we had a daughter together... but when we walk through the city, it always seems like 1992, when we were young and carefree!
Anyway we are most beautiful now."

And to complete the challenge, here is the card Elena created using the scraps left over from her layout:

"Aim High" Layout by DT Steffanie

Hello!
Today's super cute inspiration is the creative work of DT Steffanie, inspired by our
Steffanie:
"As you can see, my page definitely took on a more masculine feel. As I I was plowing through my Disney photos, I just wasn't seeing the hearts working for any of the photos I had left. So I decided to see the hearts as a vertical element and that translated to vertical strips on my page. A little secret here...I used a 6x6 paper pad, which means I cut my papers and hid the ends behind the photo block to make them appear longer. One of the many things I love about 6x6 pads!
Most of the sketch stayed relatively the same. I used two photos and matted them into a block. Mine are just vertical instead of horizontal. The title shifted to the left a bit. I used twine to create a whimsical "circle" around my photos rather than the stitched circles shown on the sketch.

For the card challenge, I gave myself a little bit of creative liberty and created a card using any of the paper scraps I had from this particular paper pad.
The design of the card was inspired by a sketch from Case This Sketch!"

This is Steffanie's last reveal for this Design Team term, but...we are excited that she has agreed to stay on and create inspiration to share with Scrap Our Stash for another term!!!   :)

It's your turn to show us how Ashley's sketch below inspires you and the creative way you use the scraps to create a card...

Sketch Challenge #27 ~ Guest Sketch Artist Ashley Horton

Happy Monday everyone!
Today we are excited to reveal our June Sketch Challenge as well as introduce our

June Guest Sketch Artist
Ashley Horton
"Hi, my name is Ashley Horton and I am currently a WAHM. I have been married to my husband Tyler for 16 years and we have three children, Madison, Emma and Reese. We made the decision for me to stay home with the kids 7 years ago, and I have been home schooling them for the past 5 years. So it's usually always busy around our house! But I don't let that stop me from finding time to play with paper, at some point during the day! I started scrapbooking in 2006 and love it even more, than when I first began. I love to document the everyday moments, and most of my photos focus on our children. Some of my favorite go to products are patterned paper, wood veneers, Thickers, spray mist, die cuts and my Silhouette Cameo! I am currently designing for American Crafts, Simple Stories, Hip Kit Club, Illustrated Faith and A Flair for Buttons. I also have an Etsy Shop, called The Cut Shoppe, where I sell fun, modern cut files that can be used with electronic die cut machines. You can find more of my work and all of my social media links by visiting my Blog,

Here is the fabulous sketch Ashley created for our June challenge:
Your challenge this month is to create a layout inspired by Ashley's sketch above...
AND you must create a card using the scraps left over from the stash you used to create your layout!

"Feeling the Love" LO by DT Tracy

It's time for Saturday's inspiration!

DT Tracy is sharing her layout to inspire you today:
This is what Tracy shares about her layout:

"Oh yes, I feel the love... 100%!!

I'm one proud momma!

I know I always say this but I'm going to say it again... I just LOVE these stash challenges! They really motivate you to use up your stash and we all have a scrappy stash to dig into.

I dug into my February scrapbook kit from Gossamer Blue for this challenge and used up some leftover paper scraps. For my chevron look I punched out squares and cut them diagonally in half, placing them accordingly. Finished up by adding a title, some ribbon and mist splatters. To fully complete this challenge I used:

B - brads
R - ribbon
A - alpha tile stickers
D - diecuts
S - scrap paper, splatters

Thanks so much for giving me some of your time here at Scrap Our Stash! I hope I've inspired you in some way to join in with us! Please stop by to visit me anytime!

Here's the challenge:

"Kaua'i" LO by DT Becky

Hello!!

Today our DT Becky inspires us today with this loving layout:
Here's what Becky had to say about her layout:

"These photos are from my recent vacation to an island I've grown to love. It's rare that I scrap photos that I've taken so recently, but the Instax camera makes it easier. Now if only I could figure out the light settings, as I've wasted a bunch of (pricey) film. My favorite detail of this layout is the doily, which my partner grabbed while we were packing and said, "Think you could use this for your scrapbooking?" Yes! I love incorporating items from my adventures into the layout itself.

The goodies I used from my stash were the following:
B: Black thread, Brandi ONeill (Websters Pages) paper
R: Ranger archival ink pad
A: Arrows
D: Doily
S: Stitching, staples, stamp, Serendipity (Dear Lizzy) paper"

Can't wait to see your layout! :)

"Enjoy This Moment" LO by DT Nicole

Happy Monday! :)

We are going to start of this week with some fabulous inspiration from our DT Nicole:
Nicole shares this about her layout:
"This layout is of my mom and her partner. I decided to dig deep into my stash and use this old collection from Echo Park called 'For the Record 2'. For the B-R-A-D stash challenge, I used the following specific items... B is for Butterfly. I used a sticker which I lined with cardstock and popped up with a 3D foam square. You can see another butterfly on the brad next to the word 'today'. R is for Rhinestones. I added a full strip of black rhinestones on the left edge of my layout as well as a few others on the right of the picture and as adornment for the butterfly sticker. A is for Alpha Stickers which I lined up on strips of cardstock to create a long title. D is for Doilies. I didn't use real doilies but I used the chipboard ones from Echo Park. This shabby chic scrappy girl loves any type of doilies! And, finally, S is for some Scalloped borders which I created with a border punch from EK Success. This, sadly, will be my last Stash challenge as part of the Scrap Our Stash DT, but I am looking forward to playing along with future challenges as they are so much fun. Come back on the 22nd when I share with you my last SOS Sketch DT Reveal. In the meantime, you can visit my blog to see more of my creations at http://scrap-utopia.blogspot.com/"

Meet our
June Guest Designer
Michelle Whorwood
Here's a little bit about  Michelle:
"I live in Albany on the North Shore of Auckland in New Zealand and I am currently blessed to be a SAHM to three amazing children, Liam aged 11, Taylor Grace aged 4 1/2 and Aimee Rose aged 3.  I am married to a fantastically supportive husband, Gary whom I have been with for almost half my life!!  I originally began scrapbooking when my eldest was about 2 years old so almost 9 years ago now when I did my first beginners class.  I can honestly say I was addicted from the minute I started - I just love being part of this industry — where I get to create a legacy of my family’s memories, indulge in creating with beautiful products as well as creating connections with like minded people from all over the world.

I have been lucky to be on numerous design teams both in New Zealand and Internationally and I currently design for a challenge ning - Color Stories Inspiration and an Australian manufacturer - Cocoa Vanilla Studio.  When I am not scrapbooking I enjoy travelling, hanging out with my friends and family, drinking good coffee and spending time at our caravan at the beach.

I am truly excited to be guest designing for Scrap Our Stash for June and I hope I can inspire you to take part in this month’s challenge.  Thank you so much for having me.”

You can visit Michelle’s blog here -

Check out this beautiful layout Michelle created inspired by our June Stash Challenge:

here are some close ups:

Here is what  Michelle shares about her layout:

"I  just love taking part in challenges which use up my stash.  As like most scrapbookers - I do have a fair bit of that.  For this layout I was inspired by an Instagram photo of my daughter and her best friend at dancing together.  I love using lots of product on my layouts along with white space for balance - so I have included lots of layering and lots of words to portray my feelings about the photo I am scrapbooking and the girls cute bond at such a young age.  I was instantly drawn to using the colour Blue which was perfect for the word challenge.  I started off my layout with some pale blue mist and some hand drawn circles on some white cardstock and then I dug into my stash for some gorgeous products from Maggie Holmes, Dear Lizzy, Heidi Swapp and Freckled Fawn.  Finishing it off with some sequins to add some interest.

B - The colour blue
R - Round circles drawn on my layout
A - Arrows
D - doily/doodling
S - Stickers, sequins, stamping"

Thank you so much Michelle for agreeing to be our June Guest Designer and providing us with such wonderful inspiration!  We are thrilled and appreciate you being here!

Thank you for stopping by and make sure you return tomorrow for more
June Stash Challenge inspiration from a member of our Design Team. :)
