Hello stampin' friends and welcome to our latest A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! This month we are sharing alternative projects created with the Hearts for You Paper Pumpkin from January 2025. I was thrilled with the versatility of the all the pieces found in this kit--it is jam packed!
Those of us who are part of the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop love to rearrange, retool, and reimagine the kit contents into our own custom creations. This month my favorite piece in the kit were the rows of white hearts. I REALLY loved stamping them in colorful pink tones and even using the leftover scrap as a stencil.
This is the card where I used the remnant of the rows of hearts as a stencil. Before I used the stencil I added Liquid Multi-purpose Glue to the back side. I let it dry thoroughly so the glue would work as a temporary adhesive. I used a Blending Brush to swirl Bubble Bath in-between all the rows of hearts. The temporary glue worked like a charm to hold the stencil perfectly in place and easily could be removed.
I also used the small flower and leaves from the Heart Shaped Dies to add a few finishing touches. I love the heart shaped shimmer gems in the center of the flowers. Those gems were part of the Hearts for You Kit. I'm telling you this Kit was filled with awesomeness.
So, check these die cut rows of hearts. They came all white in the Kit and there were tons of them. To colorize them with hues of pink I used the heart stamp that was part of the Kit. It was the perfect size!
This funky retro style card includes a Window Sheet heart. This heart is not part of the kit. I used the Spring is in the Air Dies to cut the Window Sheet and then added the foil "Love" which was from the Kit. I love the addition of the clear heart as it adds a bit of sheen but you can still see all the stylin' hearts

The latest color challenge at #TGIF511 is a mix of Bubble Bath, Real Red, and Smoky Slate. I made a simple Valentine with those colors and the Among the Swallows background stamp.
Welcome to our Creation Station hop for February. This month we are using the sketches found in the Annual and Mini Catalogs. To bring several of the sketches to life I made Valentines that feature the Celebrate Love Mix & Match Ephemera and the Stripes and Florals Mix & Match Cards and Envelopes.
Here is the sketch I was inspired by. I made my card in a landscape layout to fit the hearts from the Celebrate Love Mix & Match Ephemera. I did branch out and I used a couple greetings from the Saying Something Ephemera pack.
The sketch in the above picture is what I used for this card. I wish you could see this card in real life; it is so sweet. As I was making this card I realized how totally perfect the Heart Shaped Stamp Set coordinates with the Celebrate Love heart pieces.
It's a no brainer to make a cool quick card by adding a tag right to your card base. The photo above is the sketch I followed for my last card. On my stamp desk I had a leftover tag from Christmas. The color and size was just right so I used it for this Valentine.
I do hope your creativity has been sparked today with our interpretation of the catalog sketches. Hop through all of our blogs to see how each of us has utilized these fabulous sketch tools.
