A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop "Memorable Meadows"

Welcome, welcome, welcome to our Memorable Meadows A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. I'm so happy you are here at my SeeingINKspots Blog today to check out a few of my alternative projects using this Kit. I like to call these alternatives "Up!STYLING" my Paper Pumpkin.

This month's Kit was jam packed with awesomeness. For this first card I add a few die cuts. I die cut two leaves using the Love of Spring Dies, the dies that have been designed to coordinate with the Jan-Mar PP Kits. This four-piece die set has seen lots of use from me. I have loved all four shapes. I also die cut a Pecan Pie fence. The fence die is found in the Garden Meadows Dies, which are from the Meandering Meadows Suite Collection. The entire collection coordinates with this month's PP Kit. I truly love it with Stampin' Up! coordinates products.

The layer behind the greeting is one of the Gorgeous Grape vellum rectangles from the PP Kit. I think the steely grey purple is cool and a fun mix with the Gorgeous Grape Cardstock leaves and the purple vellum leaves.

This little goodie pouch is part box and part sour cream container. I made a box bottom and then wrapped it with a 5 1/2" x 6" piece of Meandering Meadows DSP. To top it all off I added a cluster of elements on top of one of the wooden elements from the PP Kit.

This is my favorite alternative. In real life this shimmers and shines with Wink of Stella and the colors are so happy and soothing.

I have to say a big "thank you" for stopping by today. We'll be back next month with more alternative Paper Pumpkin projects. For now, be sure to hop on over to our next stamper.

Artisan Post #5 - Paper Pumpkin Sweet Springtime

For the Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Kit I was asked to create two alternative projects. I totally enjoyed this opportunity as the elements of this kit were outstanding. I loved the card bases, the variety of the die cuts, the printed envelopes, the two sizes of cards, a goodie box, and awesome stamps.

I made a peek through flap card for my first project. This type of card fold/layout allows for lots of spots to embellish and add bits of paper crafting fun.

For my second project I made a box in a card and wrapped it in one of the envelopes. I included a sweet belly band to complete the entire presentation.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Sweet Springtime

This past month's Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Kit was AWESOME! I totally enjoyed the variety of elements, the stamps, the colors, the two sizes of cards, and the goodie box included in this Kit.

I created several alternate projects and I'm going to share them all with you today. Scroll down and check them all out.

This first card uses a portion of one of the boxes. I embossed it with one of the Basics Embossing Folders to disguise the scorelines. I also used a Stylish Shapes circle, a scrap sitting on my desk, and one of the flower dies from the Hooray for Surprises.

You can see this next card's focal point was put together with the bunny and chick images from the Kit's stamp set. These two images make this little stamp set AMAZING.

For this sweet slimline card I used only pieces from the Kit. You can't see it, but the white frame wraps over the back of the card.

With the addition of the "welcome baby" stamp I thought it would be fun to highlight that greeting. I made a card and a Square Pillow Box.

Thanks for being here to check out my Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin alternatives. Keep hopping to see more great projects featuring this amazing kit from February. Enjoy!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop "All the Best"

Have you seen the All the Best Paper Pumpkin Kit from December? It is SO fabulous! All the bits and pieces are gorgeous, the card bases are fantastic, the stamp set is top notch, and the faceted gems are beautiful!! Seriously, this kit is AWESOME!

For this post I'm sharing a couple cards that I created with some leftover pieces from the kit and some cardstock scraps on my stamp desk.  For this first card I used a 5 1/2" x 11" Pebbled Path card base that I was going to use for a project and then changed my mind. It was already scored at 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" along the long edge so, I designed this bi-fold card around those existing scorelines.

For the card front I had a leftover printed card front from the Kit. I cut 1" off the edge and saved that for the inside. I tucked a piece of Vellum Cardstock on the left side and then tied a big shoestring bow with Linen Thread to solidify the vertical elements on my card front.

Here's a look at the card with the card front in the open position. The right side opens as well and the very inside includes a 4" x 51/4" Basic White panel and the 1" strip that I cut from the front.

I wanted to create a card that featured a bit more stampin' and more of the images from the Kit's stamp set. My ink colors include Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, and Pebbled Path. To know where to stamp all the dandelions I first used a pencil to lightly trace the label. Once I was finished stamping I erased the pencil lines and then adhered the label.

For this card I based everything on Thick Basic White and then included some Champagne Rhinestones and Linen Thread.

Thanks for spending a few minutes with me today. There are more alternative projects to see so, click on the next blog and continue being inspired.

Warm Wishes: A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop

Let me wish you a big warm welcome to our A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. This month's hope is all about the Warm Wishes Kit from November. I kept things super simple, I mean SUPER SIMPLE. My first alternatives here are what I call "no brainers." You see I used the front of the houses to embellish the 5" x 7" Add On Cards so, it made total sense to whip these leftovers into tags.

I gathered ribbons that matched the kit colors and style to add long tails to my tags. I use these long tails to tie onto large bows on Christmas packages. I definitely had to add a bit of stampin' and dimension. The roof and the wreaths in the window are all popped up with dimensionals included in the kit.

I made six more tags with elements from the kit, last month's coordinating kit, and some Chic Dies snowflakes. The base for these tags is one of the Add On Cards. First I cut two inches off the bottom of the card. Then I cut that in half to create two 2" x 5" tag bases. The next four tags measure 2 1/2" x 5". Use the photo below to get a visual of how I cut the card into tags.

When I design one tag I most always make a second one very similar. These two tags include snowflakes that I cut from the Chic Dies. The colors include Gold Glimmer, Night of Navy, Old Olive, and Starry Sky. Again, I kept the ribbon tails long and used about 18" of the white Herringbone Ribbon. I tied the tops of the tags with gold from the Gold and Silver Combo Pack.

My next two tag designs were super easy and fast to put together. I simply cut one the houses in half and added one to each tag. I did pop up a wreath in the window.

I should mention that I shaped all of these tags with the Very Best Trio Punch. I'll add my two cents here and say it really is a very best punch if you are a tag maker like me. For these two white tags I used leftovers from last month's coordinating kit "Home for the Holidays." Last little detail on each tag are the silver stars. Those were cut from one of the accent pieces in the Wanted To Say Dies.

Next month's kit looks like it's going to be super charming. You are not going to want to miss out on the "All the Best" Paper Pumpkin Kit. Subscribe by December 10th. Subscribe with me and become a member of the Up!STYLE Backstage Pass Group!

#TGIF431 Sunny Days

It's theme challenge time for us over at #TGIF431. The theme is "sunny days" and you can take that idea and make whatever you want. I decided to whip up a fun card using supplies and stamps from the Fun in the Sun Paper Pumpkin Kit.

First, I stamped my Basic White card base with images from the Fun in the Sun PP Kit with Lemon Lolly Ink. Then I arranged and added the beach themed die cuts from the Kit to my base. I did use Pool Party Stampin' Blends to color the chair. It came white but I wanted to punch it up a bit. My favorite touch is the  crab holding the sunglasses.
