Well "Hello" 2017

It's been such an amazing, tiring, emotional, wonderful, stretching,
painful at times, exciting and overwhelming year.
I sometimes think that stitching is my therapy.
I'm sure it keeps me as sane as possible....ha!

Jose and I attended our first retail show.
We were blessed beyond what we could have imagined
when we attended the Needlework Galleria in St Charles MO in October.
We purchased a trailer and headed out.
It was so much fun to meet some
of our sweet customers face to face.

Our sweet children came to Idaho to spend
Thanksgiving with us.
I love my Minions!!!
We got them all matching gloves and beanies
and I needed to buy them fun egg cups....right?
I also made them all new flannel pillow cases.
We found a little doll bed at our neighbor's yard sale,
and Jose painted it white
and I made all new bedding.
The girls had a good time playing with it.

We we are certainly loving our new home in Idaho.
The snow is a rare treat for us.
There was so much more to share,
but we've been swamped with business,
which is an awesome problem to have
but I am hopeful to try and stay updated on my blog.
Here's to a wonderful 2017!!!

My King Arthur :)

I made a little pillow with a pocket
from a finished cross stitch piece I did
in memory of my sweet kitty.
Now Arthur can still keep me company as I stitch :)

Last May I had to say good-bye to my Sweet King Arthur.
He was 15 years young
but his kidneys failed.

He liked to sit with me while I stitiched.

He and Barkley became good buddies over the years.
Barkley struggled as much as I did
when we lost Arthur.
Its amazing how much our fur babies
bring joy to our lives.
No matter what kind of day you are having
they will greet you with unconditional love :)
They are a gift for sure.

July Bag of the Month and a few others :)

Since moving to Idaho in January
we have started a Bag of the Month Club.
This is the July package.
I can share it now
as my customers have all received their surprise packages.
It's been so much fun to find the fun themed tuck ins
that go in every month's packages.
The cost is $40.00 with free shipping in the USA.
If anyone is interested in joining,
please email me with your email address
and I can send you the info.

This is one of the fun bags I listed in the shop yesterday.
It's just so bright and fun!

These 2 feature hand drawn pen and ink artwork
by the Artist Michelle Palmer.
Her work is ah-mazing!!!
I love trying to find just the perfect fabric
s to showcase her artwork.

Well I'd better get back to work.
The August Bag of the Month bags won't sew themselves......

Stitchy Goodness :)

This is "She Seeks Wool" by Teresa Kogut.
Isn't she awesome?
Of course I had to add some red :)
Once I had her stitched I decided to turn her into
a project bag for myself.
I love the way she came out.

Yesterday was a rainy day here in Idaho
so I decided to drink some hot tea
and do some stitching.
So I started "Warm Winter Woolens" by LHN.
I'll show you my progress next time.
I hope you are all having a wonderful day!!!
I'll be back in a day or so with the details of my new
Birthday Club :)

Well.....HELLO!!!

It's been such a LONG time since I posted
and I have to say that I have missed you all.
We arrived in Idaho at the end of January
and we've been crazy busy since we arrived.

My awesome hubby worked so hard to get
my sewing studio ready :)

We have witnessed Spring.
This is a big deal for me as I have lived in California
most of my life and it's just one big Summer there.

I've stitched......

We've taken a gorgeous motorcycle ride.
The scenery here is ah-mazing!

And I've stitched.....

We flew back to California for our nephew's graduation.

We drove back to California because my Nana heart couldn't
bear to be away from my Minions for another second.

And I've stitched.....

And we launched the Bag of the Month Club.
It's been so much fun and it has doubled in size since January.
So crazy but I'm so blessed by my wonderful customers!

Well now that I'm back I have so many fun ideas for my little blog!
Stay tuned and expect to see me more often!
I'd love to hear from you!!!

Long time no see....

Wow!
Has it really been since June?
I'm not even really sure if anyone reads this blog anymore.
I haven't had time to blog in quite a while.
My little etsy shop has turned into
a full time job.
I've been super busy sewing every single day.
It's a wonderful problem to have :)
This morning I actually took some time off
to sew something for myself.
I had recently finished this adorable
cross stitch piece.
It's the Dutch Doll by CrossStitchObessesion.etsy.com

I stitched her 1 over 1 on 28ct Jobelan so that she would
be small enough to use on a project bag.
I ordered this darling Dutch Tile fabric from Holland (HannahsCottonShop.etsy.com)
and I've been waiting for the chance to put it all together.

Now I have the perfect project bag to take with me
when I'm away from home.

Let me know what you are working on.
I'd love to hear from you!

Better Late Than Never :)

I've been sewing so much for my etsy business lately
that I needed to take a day to sew just for fun.
I decided to use the time to get caught up on
some long over due projects.
I stitched these Halloween/Fall charts for my friends,
Gena, Denise and Amy.
My plan was to have them ready to go before October.
Well I finished all the stitching,
but never made them into pillows.
Until now :)

I also stitched Captain Kirk for Gina for Christmas.
(Yes....he is also late)

Then I turned my attention to a table runner
that I had completed the top last year some time
and I machine quilted it and did the binding by hand.

I think it will be cute for Easter :)
It's made from a Riley Blake charm pack.
Love the colors!
It always feels so good to chip away at my "to do" list.
Now it's on to the next thing :)
