More Estate Sales Finds

Yes I'm still shopping the sales looking for great treasures!  Here are a few I've found recently.

This is a Disney Pooh Bear and Piglet night light perfect for the nursery.

This round Christmas tablecloth is very pretty!

A pink milk glass cake plate made by Jennette Glass.
It is a very soft pink. Beautiful!

I did a lot of research on this Micky Christmas ornament but could not find one like it.
It did sale for $25.00 in one day!

Very cute Christmas figurines made in Japan.

These are sweet chalk ware babies to hang on wall.

Always buy chenille bedspreads they sell really well.
This one sold in a couple hours for $42.00.
When things sell quickly I know the price could have been higher.

I need to take more photos there is lots and lots to show you!

Estate Sales - Lots More Great Finds!

I have so many treasures in my house that you could say I'm close to being a hoarder! OMG that sure is an awful word "hoarder".  It is really hard to organize stuff because then all you have is a basement filled with plastic bins...lots and lots of bins...probably more than 30!

How do you stop going to garage sales and estate sales? Well the last month with having back problems it has been rather easy but usually it's like some strange spell comes over me and I can't resist.

I keep promising myself that I'm going to list, list, list on Ebay and Etsy but it really is much more fun shopping then listing!  Here are a few things that I've listed on Ebay from my stash..

This is just a tiny little bit of what's in my dinning room and office which needs to be listed before all those bins in the basement.  Sometimes I'm even surprised what I have!  Does anyone else have a problem with too much stuff!

More Estate Sale Treasures

More Estate Sale Treasures

Vintage Pitcher and Six Tall Glass
Perfect for summer ice tea or lemonade

Gardian Service Hammered Aluminum Pan

Vintage Chenille Bedspread
This one is really a pretty blue and has no damage

Two curtain panels probably from the 1950s
They have some storage stains
I'm thinking of soaking in oxy clean before listing
What do you think should I soak them or sale them as it?

These next two photos are kitchen towels
These could probably use some soaking also

I've not decided if I'm going to go to the garage and estate sales tomorrow.  Keep saying I have enough but there is always the thrill of the hunt...plus it gives hubby and I something fun to do on Saturdays!  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Estate Sale Finds

Around here garage sales seem to end before the holidays and don't start up again until March or April. But there are still some Estate Sales that take place during the winter and today I took some photos of some vintage finds to list on Ebay.

Pink glass owl toothpick holder

 This pitcher was made  Knowles-Taylor-Knowles
between 1870 - 1931

Wooden owl salt and pepper
made in Japan, unusual

Easter melted plastic popcorn Ducklings

April Cornell pillow

Handmade 3 piece Baptism set

1950's - 60's Flower Girl Party Dress
It has a satin slip that goes with it.

I just love the Baptism set and the Flower Girl Party Dress.  They both came from the same Estate Sale the family that lived there had eight children and I think the mother must have keep all of their clothing from the time they were little! Every room in the house was loaded with clothing including the basement and attic.

I really have so many treasures to list on Ebay that I don't need to go to any more estate sales or garage sales...but I can't stop!  Well it is my only vice!

A Hoarders Estate Sale!!

It's Saturday morning and my sister and I are heading out to find that ultimate treasures at the local estate and garage sales. I have mapped out 12 stops on my Yard Sale Treasures MapIf you have not tried Yard Sale Treasure Map you should try it...it will give you the garage sales listed on Craigslist in your area plus you can add the sales listed in your local paper then it gives directions to each one.  Sure makes finding the sales much easier!

We stop at the first sale which is only about 2 miles from my house, there are things in the yard, garage and all three floors of the house!  Inside the front door was the living room filled with boxes and things piles all over the floor, then to the right was a room filled about 3 ft. high with boxes and lots of clothes and just a little pathway to walk through!  I headed for the basement (I always find great things in basements) it also was filled with boxes loaded with all kinds of STUFF.  I started to load up my big bag with all the things I found interesting and thought I could sale on Ebay..nothing was priced..so with my arms and bag full I found someone to pay - I asked how much? She said what do you want to pay I said $5.00 she said OK.  WOW can you believe that!! She helped me take everything to my car then I went back into the house to find more treasures!

I must have carried treasures out of the house 6 or 7 times with as much as I could get in that big bag and load into my arms and each time I paid only $5.00.   My sister also found lots of clothes most of which had never been worn.  OMG what fun we had!

We had been there about 3 hours and my sister had to go to work so we left and had some lunch she when home and I headed back to that house!! Never did make it to the other 11 garage sales!

These photos are a few of the treasures I found

I'm keeping this lamp!

My husband wanted to go to this estate sale also so the next day Sunday we went back and I carried more things out of that house (the first photo of the car is from the second day!)  I asked if they would be having a sale the next weekend and was told this had been the 4th weekend of sales the other 3 where for family and friends!  I'm waiting for another estate sale like this one...so much fun!
