From Courtney's Closet #51

Day late, and many dollars short (haha), but I wanted to complete the challenge for this week! Libby's son Carter is the model for this week...Libby takes pictures of her adorable kids in cute outfits for card making inspiration!

I do not have any dinosaurs, but figured a dragon would be a close go at it! He's available over at The Digi Shack. Happy Birthday is from Studio G, and the paper is last years "Summer Stack" from DCWV.

Happy crafting!!

Baby Dragon

I colored this sweet little dragon with pencils & baby oil for the Digi Shack sketch challenge over at SNR Card Universe. Such a cutie! Very pleased with my
coloring on this one :-)

I popped up a second head on a foam dot, and curled the wings a bit.

We are supposed to have more rain tomorrow...DD and I were hoping to visit a nature area tomorrow while out for a haircut. It's been raining each time we've been near it the last several weeks! Maybe we'll get lucky...there's only a 40% chance of rain.

Thanks for visiting!

Kitty's

Here is the new kitten, Patty Patches, and the card she helped inspire! And below, is a better view of the card!

The Victoria Case Stamp Challenge this week is black, white, and pink. I decided it would be okay to make the kitty into my daughter's new kitten, rather than just a black and white kitty. The rhinestone heart is actually one that I won in a Victoria Case contest several months ago. And, to top things off, DD has been begging me to use lots of pink, and this card was perfect for it! DP is from last years DCWV Summer Stack. Image colored with pencils and baby oil.

One more kitty view...

Thanks for stopping!

Stopping by...

...to say, "Hello" with this cute little card! I apologize to those of you signed up in Reader...the last two times I've tried to make a post, I've hit return right after typing the title, and it's posted rather than going down to my "composition" box!

This shape card was easy to make...I need to do more of these! I used my largest circle scallop nestabilities with a bit of the edge above the top to leave the fold. The DP covers the cardstock and I decided to not trim the "fold" area, but leave it whole. Studio G stamps colored with markers and a touch of pencil for the flower buds, PTI sentiment.

Modern Sugar Blvd Grand Opening!! Tomorrow at 12 noon mountain time. There will be releases all week, contests, freebies, and more!! Be sure to check out the store site and visit these ladies who have made some awesome stuff with the releases for tomorrow (I'm not sure if they'll be showing their full projects today or Monday...just keep peaking!)

Twinkling Tuesday Twofer

My daughter likes to check out what some of the other young kiddos out there are doing (and we are both always amazed). She decided that this week she wanted to make a card that went along with Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesdays. We both played along, and my card is first, then hers.

Lily Fairy appears once again, this time with a bit of Aqua Stickles on the flower and her wings. Bic Mark-its were used for the dress and wings and a Copic E00 for her skin tones. The paper is DCWV Sweet Stack and had the ribbon/lace on the bottom of the page. There's also a lovely paisley design in the background. Prima flowers which match in real life, but not the picture.

Daughter picked a digi frog from Victoria Case Art Designs to color. I trimmed him up for her, and she used decorative scissors to create the mat. She used her own rhinestone stickers that she picked up at Target this summer. Hmmm, and with that said, I now notice I forget that part of the design on my card!! On the inside she wrote, "Have a hop-erific birthday!"

We cut some daffodils yesterday evening for in the house. Why? Because snow is now coming down sideways!

Happy crafting!

Courtney's Mojo!

I just flew while making this card!! It was awesome to have something come together so fast. Tried embossing again, and it worked much better for me today!! Now, when reading this quote, the first thing that pops to mind is a "get well" card, so that's my plan for it.

I combined the Mojo Monday and From Courtney's Closet challenges for my card. I went with the hot pink flower in Courtney's outfit as the inspiration. The flowers have lots of shine and glitter in real life...don't think it shows up too well in the picture. Pattern paper is from DCWV "Sweet", and the cardstock is from a "purple pack" I purchased this summer from Jo-Ann's. Sentiment from Verve.

My little daughter noticed that yesterdays card for the Papertrey Blog Hop coordinated with the logo just above...wasn't planned at all, just a happy surprise!

Happy crafting!
