Every Flower

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share another card using both the rubber stamp Corner Garden Stamp Set 842, together with the Digi Bundle Corner Garden #842. I'm having so much fun with this digi bundle!
For my card today I ran off the the framed colored version of the image on to white cardstock. The joy of this digi set - there are black and white images to color yourself or you can take the pre-colored digis, where the work is already done for you! That's what I did here.
I fussy cut the flowers and leaves and then thought to have them trailing over a trellis. I cut out Spellbinders Basic Lattice die from black cardstock and then daubed it with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse Mother of Pearl. This gave the trellis a wrought iron look. The vines were "placed" temporarily, which I decided my next step.
Sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Black Detail. This was then cut out with Spellbinders Standard Circles and some Peony Pink Embellishment Mousse was applied to the edge.
The trellis was backed with a piece of Super Adhesive Sheet, mounted to white cardstock and then pieces of mounting  tape were added to the vines to have them pop up.
Cloud Nine was applied to the sticky areas of the trellis. I edged white cardstock base with Nuvo Embellishment Mousses Lilac Lavender and Peony Pink.
Decided it needed more, so stuck down two doilies to the top left and bottom right corners of the edged card with 3/4" Tear-ific Tape behind them. The over lapping edges were trimmed, then I layered the card front  on top of the  base. The sticky areas of the doilies were also applied with Cloud NineSparkling Snow was applied to the flowers and leaves of the vines using the Nuvo Fine Tipped Glue Pen.
I then stamped the little butterflies and two little additional flowers from the Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copics. They were then added to the gaps around the trellis with Mounting Tape. I added a little copper wire to the butterflies before sticking them down and that finished my card for today.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Crafty Gals Corner Challenge 117: 3 layers or more
Stinkin' Inkers Challenge #1: showers of Flowers
World Wide Open Design Team: March 15th 2017 Challenge: Anything Goes
Scrapy Land Challenge #63: anything Goes
Ike's World Challenges #85: In the Garden

Product List:
Spellbinders Standard Circles
Spellbinders Basic Lattice
Copper Wire
2 Doilies
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope this has inspired you to try the combination of the digi and rubber stamp sets. I'm really liking the flexibility it offers.
Big hugs,
Shona

So I began by printing out the "framed" digi on white cardstock from the Corner Garden Bundle Set #842, rotating it at 43 degrees.

Next I die cut the piece using the border of the Spellbinders Wedding Collection die. I ran off the orange version of the watercolor background paper. The card front was backed with a piece of Super Adhesive Sheet and was layered on top of the watercolor piece. Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter was applied to the sticky surface around the border.

The center was cut with a die from the same set.

I decided to put the blue background behind the card front, with a small border. A smaller circle (Spellbinders Standard Circles) was cut from a piece of the orange paper which had been attached to a piece of scrap cardstock with Super Adhesive Sheet, making it more rigid. The sentiment was then stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed in Black Detail.

The butterflies were also done this way by taping the paper to scrap cardstock and then stamping them in Versamark and heat embossing with Black Detail.

They were covered with Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste and were set to dry before being fussy cut.

The sentiment and the butterflies were attached to the card with Mounting Tape and a wired rainbow bow, made with my Craft-Dee BowZ, was wrapped around the top of the card before it was layered to a black card base. This finished off my card for today.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Craft-Dee Bowz: April 2017 Challenge
Classic Design Team Open Challenge: April 2017
Scrapy Land Challenge # 63: Anything Goes

God Shed His Grace on Thee

Hi there,
Today, I'd like to share with you a card made using the Patriotic Girlfriends Set 827 from the new March Reveal.

To begin with, I stamped the image in the bottom left corner of the 5" x 5" white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black. I took a 5" x 5" piece of Super Adhesive Sheet and using a Lifestyle Nesting Circle Die I cut out the bottom corner of the square. This was stuck down on to the top of the cardstock with the stamped image and then lines were cut with an exacto knife lightly through the protective backing but not through the cardstock. Every third strip of protective backing was removed and Pinkerbell Glitter was applied.
Each strip to the right was then exposed and applied with Cloud Nine. Then Rapture Blue was applied to give us the Red, White and Blue!
The girls were then colored in with Copics. America was stamped on top of the white strip of glitter in Memento Tuxedo Black and then was colored on top of the glitter with Copics.
Next I took a Heidi Swapp Star stencil and stenciled with Nuvo Embellishment MoussesBlue Cornflower and Peony Pink. This is very fast drying, so I just did some and went back when dry and filled in the spaces.
Now I had both stars and stripes!
I took a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of corrugated blue cardstock and edged it with the Peony Pink Mousse.
The sentiment from the same set was stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed with Mulberry, this is one of the fine detailed Tuscan powders. It was hand cut into a banner shape and was backed with the same blue used in the base layers. A piece of a skewer was attached to the back of the flag with Tear-ific Tape and then it was attached to the card front with mounting tape.
The entire card front was attached to a base layer of glossy white cardstock to finish off the card.
I'd like to join in the following challenges this week:
Stampavie and more Challenge #282: Stars
Paperminutes #477: Musical Instruments
Classic Design Team Challenge #12: Anything Goes (1st March - 31st March)

Hope you've enjoyed popping by today?
Till next time,
Big hugs,
Shona

So for my card today, I decided to use one of my photos that I had taken in the backyard last winter. A few glitters and some of the new Nuvo products, Crystal Drops and Glimmer Paste were used to make my sparkly winter scene.

I used the new Nuvo Fine Tip Glue Pen to apply my glitters over the snow on the branches, doing little sections at a time. Starting with Cloud Nine, then on to Lavender Iris.

Then to Starfire and finally Crystal Ice.

Midnight Blue Crystal Drops were then added to the photo to finish off the background.:

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black, fussy cut and colored with Copics ((B24, B32, B34, C3, E13, E33) and then some Twinkling Clouds were applied to the branch with Brushable Glue.

Dimensional Glue was added to his eye. Glimmer Paste Blue Topaz was applied with a palette knife to his wing and tail.

The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock in Versamark and then heat embossed with one of the Tuscany embossing powders, Cerulean.  Memento Teal Zealand Danube Blue were sponged around the edges of the sentiment after it was cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Label.

I made a bow with blue organdy ribbon. The bow was attached with the sentiment on Foam Squares as shown. This was then layered to a white card base edged with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape and the edges were applied with Denim Glitter.

The image was then attached with Foam Squares also, to finish up my card for today.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge #84: Trees
Craft-Dee BowZ: November Challenge - Anything goes with a handmade bow
World Wide Open Design Team Challenge: Anything Goes

Hope you've enjoyed my share?

CHRISTMAS ELEPHANT IN THE WOODS!

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share with you a card using the October Reveal Elephant Christmas Tree Set: 802 and the new Nuvo Glimmer Paste Moonstone.

Christmas Elephant

I made my step card base using the Sizzix Balloons Step-Ups as a guide. I cut the inside panels from Super Adhesive sheets and stuck them on to the front panel and the two little steps. I repurposed the stamp by stamping the image on white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black and then I fussy the elephant and tree out, as I wanted him to be decorating his chosen tree out in the woods! I know elephants don't live in the woods, but call it artistic licence!

Christmas Elephant

Our little friend was colored with Copics: YG03, YG06, YG67, Y17, R37, N2, C3, C5 and Dimensional Glue was applied to the baubles and the star, and to his hat and tail to which was added Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft, for some dimensional sparkle. I die cut the trees with the Die-namites die cut Winter Forest and split it up so that it would fit on the steps of the card. The were sponged with Memento Olive Grove, Bamboo Leaves and Peanut Brittle and then once the inks were dry, I put them on a piece of left-over protective backing and applied the Moonstone Glimmer Paste with a spatula. I find that it is a very easy clean-up when you used the protective backing, none of the paste is wasted, just scoop up any paste from the sheet and put back in the jar. This was put aside to dry - though it doesn't take very long - half an hour at most.

Christmas Elephant

I did the same process with the Memory Box Curved Merry Christmas, leaving "Merry" white.

Christmas Elephant

The Glimmer Paste makes the piece very pliable.  When this was dry I stuck a piece of 3/4" Tear-ific Tape to the back of the "christmas" and burnished Cloud Nine to the word. The assembly of the card was next. I started with the steps, by removing the backing of the Super Adhesive Sheet scraps that I had put on the front of the steps. I then placed the two trees on the back step and then covered the remaining sticky surface with Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter. I repeated the process with the three trees and then placed the elephant on the front panel together with the Merry Christmas die. The Merry Christmas die was slightly wider than the card, so I turned it over and cut off the overlapping edges.

Christmas Elephant

Here is a closer look at the dimension achieved with the Dimensional Glue.

Christmas Elephant

I'd like to join in the following Challenges:

Scrapy Land Challenge #51: Use a die cut brand that Scrapy Land sells
Cardz for Galz Challenge #33: Use at least one die cut

Hope you've enjoyed my share today and that I have inspired you to look at your stamps a wee bit differently.

Hugs,

Shona

SPARKLE N SPRINKLE'S AUGUST 1ST REVEAL

Hi there and welcome to our August Reveal (with a twist). Today we are having a Joint Blog Hop with our friends over at Die-Versions. Die-Versions has come out with nine new dies and Sparkle N Sprinkle has come out with three sets, all based around cancer awareness.

Let's get hopping shall we? I'm first up on the hop, so you should have come here by way of the Die-Versions blog page.

Sparkle N Sprinkle and Die-Versions are partnering up for a very special joint blog hop, called the Awareness Campaign.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the newly released Die-Versions dies and the stamp sets revealed in the joint blog hop will go to help with cancer research.
Almost every one has been touched by cancer is one way or another.  Either you or a family member has had cancer or you know someone who has had cancer.  The Designers from both teams are joining together to help the fight to eradicate all cancers by inspiring you.

Die-Versions

Die-Versions is debuting NINE new Die-Versions low profile dies (July 2015 Reveal - scroll down to the end of the reveal) and Sparkle N Sprinkle is revealing THREE stamp sets for this Awareness Campaign.  All stamp sets will be 20% off until Aug 3.

Sparkle N Sprinkle
Pink Ribbon Background 408  (digi version DIGI408)
Survivor 713    (digi version DIGI713T)
Awareness 714   (digi version  DIGI714T)

A Grand Prize winner will be chosen from comments left on the Designers' blogs and will be announced on August 4th.  You won't know who the Mystery Designer is until after the Joint Blog hop, so remember to leave a comment with each of the Designers.

The Winner will be announced on the Die-Versions Facebook page, the Sparkle N Sprinkle Facebook page, the DV Blog, and on the SNS Blog and will receive a $25 gift certificate from BOTH Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle.

We hope you enjoy the Awareness Joint Blog Hop as much as we have enjoyed creating new projects for it.  We also hope that we have inspired you as well.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  (We love reading them too since your comments also inspire us.)

The Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge also begins today with lots of prizes and recognition badges.  Find out how you can become a SNS Featured Artist with special recognition on the SNS Facebook page as well as the Creative Challenge Winner's post.  From time to time, we also have special prizes just for Featured Artists.  The theme is always Anything Goes using Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder, and/or Flock.

My card features all three of the stamp sets: the Pink Ribbon Background Set 408, Survivor Set 713 and the Awareness Set 414. I chose to compliment these sets with the Die-Versions Awareness Ribbon Words DV-485.

I began by die cutting the Sizzix Circle Flip-Its card base. My background cardstock was made by stamping the Pink Ribbon Background stamp on glossy white in Versamark. It was then heat embossed with White Detail. Memento Rose Bud ink was then rubbed over the entire surface and I wiped any excess ink off the white embossing with a tissue. The two panels were die cut from this prepared background and were adhered to the card base.

The two Spellbinders Standard Circles were cut and then I stamped the two sentiments in Versamark and heat embossed again with White Detail. The little ribbon was stamped after the circle had been applied with the ink. See the difference in the detail.

I attached a strip of 1/2" Tear-ific Tape down the center of the middle panel, before attaching the inside sentiment. The exposed tape was covered in Cloud Nine Microfine Glitter and then the little ribbon was stamped on top of the Cloud Nine using the Rose Bud ink.

Now for the little ribbons! I took the three dies I wanted to use. There are six altogether in the set. I took three scraps that I had of Super Adhesive Sheets (big enough to fit the ribbon - you could also use the 2 1/2" Tear-ific Tape). Place the adhesive on to white cardstock and put the die face down on the glossy protective side. Otherwise the wording will be backwards. Gently remove the protective backing from the letters only.

Raspberry Soda glitter was burnished into the spaces of the letters. Then I removed the rest of the shiny backing and Cloud Nine was applied to the rest of the ribbon. The ribbons were attached to the card with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape

Hope you've enjoyed the first of these Cancer Awareness projects. While I was photographing my project earlier this week, I thought how ironic that a little brown butterfly should land on my card. I wondered "had he been part of a butterfly release to commemorate cancer awareness". Nature amazes me every day! Here he is:

OK, that's all from me for now. Now after leaving a comment, you need to follow the little butterfly and flutter over to Patti's blog. She's from the Die-Versions team. I'm sure looking forward to seeing all the wonderful creations for the Cancer Awareness theme from both teams! If you get lost along the way or have a problem with a link, the complete list of Designers is located on both the Die-Versions Blog as well as the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog.  Happy Hopping!

Hugs,

Shona
