IC227, CTD87, CCEE1014, TPE61 Silhouette Gift Idea

Happy weekend everyone!!!

We are off to a wedding today!!! I stayed up way toooooo long and  I'll probably regret it in the morning...yikes!!! I blame it on Mona, Pam, Stephanie ....*wink*!!! Yes...it's all their fault...LOL..., they keep blowing me away with their fabulous creations!!!

Here is what happened... I recently won a Lauren Meader template...wahooo....and every time I stop by one of these ladies blog (Mona, Pam and Stephanie) they have another amazing *Gift Set* done. Here I am still haven't printed my fabulous prize out.....I guess my bad conscience kicked in....and I FINALLY did it!!! I made my first *Slip Cover* Box and I created a matching card as well. May I just say...this is one fabulous template...so easy to work with...love it!!!

The colors were inspired by this weeks CTD87 - using Pink, Gray and Olive. My inspiration came from a few different Challenges this week... IC227 - Home Sweet Germany. We are challenged to make a card that inspires us from our home town, state or country. Well....I grew up in a beautiful town called *Ebermannstadt* which is located in Franconia/Bavaria, Germany . We were surrounded by acres of beautiful flower fields and I will never forget the smell and the beauty of them!!! Unfortunately I haven't travel home in a few years, but hopefully this fall I can take a trip back to memory lane!!!

So when I saw todays IC227 and the CCEE1014 Challenge - using Silhouette images. I knew I had to use my favorite ISC Nature Silhouette I Set!!!  My favorite thing to do with this Set is using the *Misting with Water* technique. My theme also fits this weeks Pink Elephant #61 Challenge - using a Nature themed image.

The gorgeous Basic Gray Satin Ribbon and the Buttons are from Stampin' Up. The super cute Flower Dies are from PTI. I finished both projects off with some piercing and the Silver Pearls. Oh and before I forget I also scored the bottom part of the Slip Cover Box. Hope you like it!?!

Have a fabulous weekend and thank you for stopping by!!!

Hello my sweet stampin' friends!!!

Thank you to for keeping my stepfather in your prayers!!! It means a lot to me and my family!!! Never under estimate the power of prayers - right :) ?!? I just got off the phone with my mom and they have not heard anything from the doctors...so hopefully tomorrow!!!

I've been running around today ....getting some errands done, before my girls get off *Winter Break* next week!!!  I'm happy to show you a card I made last night. Thank goodness my girls were so tired they went to bed early and I had a chance to actually stamp - wahooo!!!

As I was blog hopping yesterday I found three wonderful Challenges I felt like taking on.....first the awesome Sketch from Mercy - MTSC60. Next the uper talented CCEE ladies are having an Inspiration Challenge going on and we were to pick an inspiration piece from this website - ImageKind.  I chose this beautiful roses bouquet for my inspiration which also fits into this weeks Curtain Call Color Combo #16 - using Kraft, Real Red and Very Vanilla.

Here is my card......sorry for some reason I have a hard time making this card look bigger on the screen....please make sure to click on it to see it larger!!! Thank you!!!

I used an older PTI Set called Women of Life ...it's actually my very first Set I bought from them and I'm still lovin' it!!! I have to be honest I totally forgot about this Set until I saw Mercy's Sketch!!!

For the Kraft color I used a Memento Ink called *Desert Sand*. The left panel was punched with the SU Eyelet Border Punch. I dressed the card up with some Red Satin Ribbon, Buttons and some punched out MS butterflies.

Thank you for being such sweet stampin' friends and for stopping by today!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC51!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I was a total slacker this weekend.....how about you?!? I sooooo need this little break :) I did a little stampin' yesterday and finished up my Flourishes Timeless Tuesday project for today!!!

Talking about today's FTTC51 Challenge.....we have a Guest Designer!!! It's no other than my sweet blogging friend *Pat Adam* also known as *The Rubber Maid*. Pat is hosting today's Challenge and here is what she is challenging us with in her own words......!!!

"For this week's challenge be inspired by the letter *P*. Sounds a bit crazy, but not really if you think about it for a bit. I'm thinking pink, pearls, poppies, purple, punches, and piercing. Do you get the picture? Sure you do so let's get moving and make those perfectly pretty and positively pleasing presentations. Don't think you've been challenged in this way before, so I will be excited to see how you all do." Pat

I used the beautiful Sweet Violets Set on the card and box. The sentiment on the card is from the brand new Taglines Set. The images were inked in Memento Black and colored with these Copic Marker Collections - Hollyhock, Dahlia and Holly.

Here are all the *P*'s I used on my card..... the color *pink*, *piercing*, *punches*,*pearls* and I added a *present* on the side :) !!!

I combined this project with a few different challenges.....my main inspiration came from this weeks FS155 - Karen Barber. I chose to case this beautiful card from her!!! I changed the layout to the CCEE1003 Sketch. I added *pink* for the C4C21 Challenge and a touch of *green* for the SSCC23 Challenge. Adding Design Paper was this weeks CAS51 Challenge. The box idea came from the JUGS17 - Template Challenge. My template is from Stampin' Up.... if you are interested in this templae pls e-mail me and I'll send you the pdf.file.

Please make sure to stop by Betty, Cindy, Dee, Maki and Pat's blog to see their take on the Challenge!!!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!!!

A weekend full of stampin'.....

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

I had a wonderful stampin' weekend.....

First I would like to share a card with you I made Friday afternoon....it is a *multi-task* card - LOL!!!

Here are the challenges I crammed onto this one....the original idea was for the fabulous CCEE ladies who were so sweet to feature my *sparklegirl* name as their Challenge - you can read about it right HERE. Next is the LSC243 - make a *girly girl* card (compliments the CCEEC), the layout is from the VSOCT09E Sketch (last one), and the square card idea is from the ssnotime110. This card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

The super sweet *Dahlia* image is from The Greeting Farm.

I inked the image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers. For my birthday my sweet hubby treated me to the Copic Airbrush Starter Kit and the square BG was sprayed with it!!! I definitely have to practice some more :).....it's a very fun tool to play with!!!

The DP is from the Pawsitively Prints and I matched it with the Raspberry Fizz color. At last I added the Raspberry Fizz Ribbon, the Glitter and the fabulous Silver Pearls.

Oh...... before I forget my super duper awesome *BOWS* are easily done with the *Bow-Easy*....a must have tool!!!

******************************************

Next are two card are a bit more serious....I made them both for the CAS37 - With Sympathy plus a few other Challenges.

For this card I used the CPS37 Sketch. The sentiment is from the ODBD Set Praying for You and I inked it in Chocolate Chip.

I used the beautiful *Blue Awning* DP from K&Company. The card base is a Textured Creamy Caramel CS. At last I added the halfback Pearls.

******************************************

The layout for this card is from the VSOCT09B Sketch (second one). I used the ODBD Set With Deepest Sympathy. The sentiment was also inked in Chocolate Chip.

I used the same *Blue Awning* DP and my card base is Vintage Cream. I finished the card off with a matching Satin Ribbon and halfback Pearls.

CC216, CCEEC Happy Birthday and SC226, CC216 and 2RedBananas Upsy Daisy

Happy Thursday everyone!!!

Here are two cards I made for some of the SCS Challenges.

This first card is for the CC216 - using Basic Black, Real Red and Old Olive!!! The Sketch is from the fabulous CCEE ladies - you can see it right here!!!

I used the beautiful Thoughts & Prayers Set. I know it's more a Sympathy Set, but I think it's way too pretty just to use it for a sad occasion, so I turned it into a *Happy Birthday* card!!! The sentiment is from the A Little Birthday Cheer Set.

I colored straight onto my flower image using my SU Markers Real Red and Old Olive. I dressed the flowers up with some small Silver Pearls (avail. Michael's). The Real Red panels were embossed with the CB folder - D'vine Swirl. At last I added the 5/8" Old Olive Ribbon and the larger Silver Pearls on the side.

*********************************************************

I combined this card for the CC216, SC226 and the 2RedBananas Challenge - wearing Stripes.

The DP I used for this occasion is from the Summer Picnic Collection. As you can tell I use the Sketch vertical to show off the striped DP!!! BTW - check out the awesome prize you can win for playing along in the 2RedBananas Challenge!!!

The Set is Upsy Daisy and I inked it all in Basic Black. The sentiment is from the new Great Friend Set that is featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog (Page 5).

To finish it all off I added some Silver Brads. Voila!!!

Thank you for stopping by!!! Make sure to check Jessica's blog in the morning for some awesome NEW REVEALING DETAILS ABOUT TONIGHT'S RELEASE PARTY!!! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT :) !!! See you tonight!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, CC210, CCEEC Chicks need to stick together...

Happy Tuesday!!!

Welcome to another round of Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!!! This week the fabulous Cindy Haffner is hosting this Challenge. She is challenging us to use *RIBBON* !!! You may think…Ribbon??? I use Ribbon all the time. Of course, you do!!! We all do!!! But wait there is a little twist!!!

You may only use a certain type of ribbon all the time…yet you hoard a boat load of others. It is time to cut those ribbons that bind you….LOL!!! Try to venture from your normal comfort zone or try to use ribbon in a different way. Do not fret, though. If you are not feeling awfully adventurous, any card with some ribbon will do!!!! We would love to see what you do either way!!!

Show off your fab Flourishes Set's as well and play along!!! If you don't own any Flourishes Stamps yet, make sure to play along anyway, because you might be the lucky one that will win the prize...!!! Please use the keyword *FTTC7* if you post on SCS!!! More info and all the Samples can be viewed over on the Flourishes Blog!!!

For my card today I used the beautiful *All Wrapped Up* Set and the sentiment is from the *Chairs For You* Set. I thought this would be the perfect image to use, since it goes with the *Ribbon* theme.....LOL!!!

The colors are Rose Red, Pink Pirouette and White (PTI). I added the yummy Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon. To finish it all off I placed some Silver Brads on the left side of the image and also added some Shimmerz to the whole image.

If you like swing by every ones blog to see their close ups - Becca Feeken, Betty Wright, Cindy Haffner, Dee Jackson and Kimberly Crawford.

***********************************************

In honor of our DT Member Stacy Morgan - *Twinshappy* being the Featured Stamper #110 this week - I thought I'd continue with another little project!!!

Not only was I inspired by Stacy's awesome *Gift Set*, but once I saw my friends Denise's case I knew I wanted to try this with another fabulous Flourishes Set's. I also made a similar card with these Curved Rectangle Nestie's not to long ago for the FTTC5 - you can view it HERE!!!

I used one of my all time favorite Color Combo's - Real Red, Basic Black and White (PTI).

This flower is from the *Thank You* Set. I colored it with Copic Markers - R29, G07 and N1. At last I added the Silver Brads and the Shimmerz and the Black Satin Ribbon!!!

I wish I would had the time to created the purse that goes along with these Note Cards, but I guess I'll have to continue with it this week and show it off all together when I'm done!!!

BTW - if you've never tried Shimmerz before, let me tell you it's easy as 1-2-3 !!! You just add a little bit of the liquid substance onto a fine paint brush and add it to your image - voila!!! They come in all kinds of colors too....so don't be intimated and add some sparkle to your cards!!! It really adds just the right amount of elegance to your project/card!!!

*******************************************

OMG - I was dying to play the CC210 this morning....and finally Jenn rescued the day!!! What fabulous colors she has chosen - Kraft, Summer Sun and Riding Hood Red (Real Red opt.).

I immediately thought of this awesome Set from Flourishes called *Sign of Spring*!!! Since it's a Flourishes kinda day with the Ribbon Challenge going on it was the perfect choice for me....as I was browsing the blogs a bit - I came a cross the fabulous ladies over at the CCEE sight and they have a Sketch Challenge going on...perfect match for the image I've used!!! Thank you CCEE ladies because of you it came all together fairly quickly!!!

Anyway - I hope you like what I have created??? I'm looking forward seeing what you'll come up with for this Challenge!!!

Have a wonderful day!!! ~TFL~

IC167 Happy Valentines Day and OCC *L.O.V.E*

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!

It's time for another OCC Challenge and today Laurie has a Sketch for us. You can see the Sketch, all the Samples and *who* Laurie has invited as a Guest (I heart her!!!) right here.

I figured I make a card for the special occasion!!! I have bought the wonderful *A Happy Heart* Set and have not had much of a chance to use it....silly - huh!?!

So today is the day I inked it up....I used Riding Hood Red on the heart and Close to Cocoa on the sentiment. The card base is Very Vanilla. I also punched out some Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand, Riding Hood Red Circles. The Designer Paper is from the *Candy Lane* Collection. As you can tell I raised some of the Circles and the main panel with Stampin Dimensionals.

The card was dressed up with some Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, the super cute Bouquet Buttons plus some piercing.

For more inspiration visit - Amy, Cindy, Dawn, Jennifer, Julee, Laurie, Lori, Lynda, J
ackie and Kim.
********************************************
Here is my card for the IC167. What a fun choice it was this week - LOL!!! I choose this bra (Page 2) *Still in Bloom*. Okay - my card is not as flashy as the bra...LOL - I went for a softer look - he,he,he!!! But I thought it matches the *Valentine* theme perfectly *wink*!!!

My color inspiration not only came from the IC167, but also from the fabulous CCEE Stampers. Our special OCC Guest - Tosh - was hosting this Color Combo on their site...and I had to play as well!!!
I promised myself at the beginning of the year to try to use a lot of my *older* stuff when I create cards....When I saw the colors - Pink, White and Kraft for this Challenge I thought of some Long Notes I had bought a while back. Silly me.....by the time I looked closer to write up the the recipe I realized it's Sahara Sand instead of Kraft - YIKES. I blame it on my sleep deprivation LOL.....I hope the CCEE ladies will forgive me....?!? I do like how the card turned out though....it's such a soft combo!!!
Okay, so here is some info about this card. The gorgeous image and sentiment is from There She Goes *Roses & Chocolate* Set. I inked them in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Prisma and Copic Markers (Green Tea, Pink Rose, Ballet Pink & Putty). I trimmed the sentiment and raised it with Stampin Dimensionals.
The Designer Paper is from the *Candy Lane* Collection and I had to use my new Eyelet Border Punch as well. To top it off I added the Silver Brads.
Alright - I hope I/we put you in the stampin' mood with these Challenges and you play along??? If not - have a wonderful and romantic Valentine's Day?!?!
Thanks for stopping by!!! Hugs ~S~

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Hope you have all your Christmas Shopping done??? I went shopping all day yesterday....and I'm all set and done now - wahhooo!!!

Have you all seen the *Holiday Challenge Extravaganza* over on SCS??? Fun, fun, fun!!!

I had a chance to play in today's Challenge - HCE04 - making a *Birthday Card*!!! My mother's birthday is coming up in January and what a great idea to make in for her!!!

I used the new *Raspberry Tart* DP. For the CS I chose Kiwi Kiss and Rose Red. The Punch is from SU's Photo Corners. The image is from the new upcoming Hostess Level II Set *Echoes of Kindness*. The sentiment is from the *All Holidays* Set.

To dress it up I used some Halfback Pearls. As I'm writing this I realized that I should have used some Ribbon for this Challenge - ohhhhh noooooo - LOL - I'm a cheater - LOL!!! I guess the shimmerz I added on the flower petals don't count either - YIKES!!!
If you don't see my card in the gallery they kicked me out....ooopppsss!!! I guess that what I get for not sticking with the requirements - LOL!!!
BTW - the layout is from last weeks *CCEE Monday Challenge*!!!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!! HOPE YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO CELEBRATE THIS SEASON WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS?!?

LSC198 Crafty Taglines, CCEEC Worship the Lord

Hey you all!!! This is not my LSC card - you have to move down a bit to see it!!!

I finished this card earlier today to participate in the CCEE Challenge!!!
Do you all know these fabulous ladies??? Click right here to check them out!!!

I couldn't resist to play along this week....it's about using a *Our Daily Bread Designs* Set. Even though I don't have the particular Stamp that this group is using, but I just received one of the newest Released Stamp Set's called *Worship the Lord*. What can I say I just love, love, love this Set!!! If you have seen the slide show over on the ODBD site - you can understand why!!!

Anyway - for my card I used Real Red, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White!!! The main image was inked with Black Stazon. The sun was created with the Summer Sun Ink. I also used the gorgeous Candle Light Shimmerz on it to make it sparkle even more!!! I used a Prisma Marker (Green Tea) on the tree image plus I layered the main image onto Wild Wasabil!!! The rest of the card was also colored with Copic & Prisma Markers. I bedazzled the card with Dazzling Diamond Glitter. For the snow effect I used *Liquid Applique*. The BG DP is from *Ski Slope*.

Hope you liked this card??? Here is the card you've been looking for!!!

This is a trio of cards I made for the LSC198 with the super fun *Crafty Taglines* from *There She Goes*.
Make sure to check them out - I think you would love them!!!

I still have plenty of *Love Notes* (So Saffron, Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi) from SU left over....- this is where the recycling part kicks in - LOL!!!! I thought these would be fun to use...... As you can tell I used different layouts for each card. I piercing all of them differently and added some Silver Brads. I even reused some of my lost Staples to the So Saffron card !!! Does it count that I added a cute little recycled flower - he,he,he??? I also used a Craft Scissor from way back when....on my Wild Wasabi card!!!
Hope you like them???

Have a wonderful weekend!!! ~TFL~

LSC185, CCEE Challenge and Sketch Challenge

Happy TGIF!!! Hope you had a great week???

I thought I'd add my LSC185 card to the other two cards down below....

Since we are only allowed to use Stamps, Ink and Paper - I chose to use this brand new image from *Innovative Stamp Creations* called *Walk in the Woods*. It reminded me of my childhood years in Germany roaming the gorgeous woods in our area!!!

I focused on the colors and stamped this image on a Glossy CS. Then starting sponging using thes colors -Chocolate Chip, River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango and Soft Sky.

The sentiment is also from an ISC Set called *Textures and Backgrounds* and I've inked it in Chocolate Chip. ~TFL
***************************************************

Have you all seen the *Innovative Stamp Creations* Sketch Challenge #12??? I thought I'd play along........can't resist the fabulous goodies Betsy Griffin is giving away!!!Hope you'll find time to play too???

For my card I have used two different ISC Stamp Set's - Marvels of Nature II and About Me.

Of course I had to use Tangerine Tango again and this time I've added Chocolate Chip - don't you think they look great together???

The *medium* Brads are from Making Memories Value Pack (Michaels).

Check out the next card I made!!!
**********************************************************

My second card is for - the fabulous CCEE ladies who are challenging everyone to try the *Crayon Resist* technique and believe it or not I've been a stamper for over 3 yrs now and I have not tried it until last night.....I'm so flippin' happy, because I totally love it and the outcome is so pretty!!! Thank you CCEE ladies for inspiring me!!!

For this card I used the new *Upsy Daisy* Set. The colors are Whisper White, Glossy CS, Baja Breeze and Basic Black. The long panel was embossed with the *Dotted* CB folder.

Hope you like it???

Have a great weekend ~TFL~!!!

CCEEC and BVC08 Everlasting Life

Hey you all!!!

Today has been a very cloudy and rainy day - perfect stamping weather - LOL!!!

My friend Denise aka *peanutbee* made me aware of this fabulous blog. Some super duper talented ladies are running the show and believe it or not I had no idea that this blog existed - you can find out more right here. Thank you Denise for stirring me in the right direction - you are the best - LOL !!!

Today's challenge is to create a card using only *Brown & Black* - wow - I wasn't sure about that comb, but now after putting this card together I'm so happy that I gave it a try - I really, really like it!!!

Remember I was telling you about the Bible Verse Challenge (BVC08) over on SCS??? Well - I was always behind on the Challenge and now thank goodness I'm one moth ahead....I combined the Challenges and I have used this fabulous Bible Verse from John 3:16 reading.....

For God so Loved the World He Gave His Only Son that whoever Believes in Him should not Perish but have Everlasting Life.

Isn't that a beautiful Verse??? I have found this Stamp at *Cornish Heritage Farms*.

For this card I have started out with a Whisper White base and layered it with Basic Black and Chocolate Chip CS. Next I have stamped the *Stitched BG* Stamp with Chocolate Chip and layered it with Basic Black CS. This layer was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.
Then I have cut a smaller panel with Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. I have added a Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon onto the panel and adhered it across the card.

Next I have stamped the Bible Verse with Chocolate Chip and layered it onto a Basic Black Nestie - I've also raised it with Stampin Dimensionals. To finish the card off I have added some Black Medium Brads from Making Memories.

Hope you like the card and give this color combo a try!!! ~TFL~
