Guest Designer spot for Skdigi's

Good Morning everyone, I hope you are having a great Monday
Today I am sharing a card I made for...

I am honored and thrilled that Sonia had asked me to be a Guest Designer
I absolutely love her quirky, simple and easy to color images
As a former Design Team member for Sonia, I have many images to play and create with
But, I am especially excited to be using this NEW image from her Lollipop Reindeer collection

I started with a 5-1/2" square base for my card
Next I layered it with designer pattern paper from a 6" x 6" pad by Recollections - City Sidewalks
Green pattern cut 5" x 5"
Red w/ white snowflake pattern cut 5-1/2" x 1-1/4"
Diamond pattern cut 4-1/4" x 2"

I used Lollipop Reindeer -Stars from SKdigi's for my image and cut the paper to 3" x 2-3/4"

I used the following Copic markers to color the image:
E33, E35, E50, R11, R27, R59, Y06, Y17

To finish the card I did a little bit of paper piecing on the reindeer head/body, nose and bow
A Red ribbon/bow with sentiment on a metal tag, attached with a safety pin
And for the final touch...green sequins with liquid pearls in the corner and on the tag

I hope you enjoyed my card and your visit to my blog today
Be inspired to create something wonderful

At the end of the month, you will receive the next month image FREE!
Create + Link = Win!

And last month I also won Top 2 with my R.I.P. Card  - Check out my post HERE

To make my card I used the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder on ice blue cardstock
This was layered on top of navy blue A2 card
Chilly was colored with my Copic markers in the following colors:
B60, C-3, C-5, Y00, Y08, Y17, B00, B02

Alot of Sharing today...with 3 Freebie images

I rarely have the opportunity to create cards just for FUN
With full time work, social life, training for a Half Marathon...what's a girl to do?
These demands just get in the way of my CREATIVE PLAYTIME
So again I ask...what's a girl to do?
Answer...Why have a marathon card making afternoon of course

And now I have three cards to share with you today, that I created just for FUN!

I hope you will enjoy them

The first one is for the monthly Birdie Brown September "FREEBIE" & Challenge

I love the images at Birdie Brown and this Pumpkin BOO is just too CUTE!

Copic markers:  YG23, YG41, G07, Y17, YR04, YR07, E33, E35
I finished the card with a scalloped edge, lavender ribbon/bow and goggle eyes

The image is called Bobbing for Apples and this is a progressive challenge which means:
If you play along this month, you will receive the next months image FREE

BTW the image comes with or without a background fence

This card is a 5.5" x 5.5" card
Papers used are from my stash and I do not remember the company

And now for my final card to share today...This one is for SKdigis Linking Party

This image is called Kitty Peekaboo and is a freebie this month

I was inspired by this sketch at Krafty Hands
However, to play along there, you need to use one of their products, which I do not have
But I love this sketch and wanted to use it anyway

This is also a 5.5" x 5.5" card
Papers from Doodlebug Designs - 6 x 6 pad - Flower Box
Copic markers:  Y00, Y06, Y15, RV13, R00, YG00, YG23, E21

Sketchy Friday #10

It's Sketchy Friday and I am here with my card inspired by sketchy #10

I am so excited to share my little 4 x 4 card I made.
I am using Bo the Dragonfly, which can be found HERE

Symbolism of a dragonfly:
a dragonfly lives a short life, it knows it must live its life to the fullest with the short time it has.

I love dragonflies, and I mentioned that to Sonia and this is what she came up with.
I love this dragonfly and I was able to name him too!
The name Bo means:  Living

Well I really hope you like my little card.
I used paper from Echo Park 6 x 6 paper pad - For the Record 2 by Lori Whitlock
I used Copic markers to color the image and did some paper piecing with the image.

I hope you will join us this week and create something wonderful using our sketch as inspiration.

I find that fun to work with and quick to make.
I hope you enjoy using our sketch #107 this week to create something wonderful!

My card using an image from SKdigis called Heart Dandelions

To make my card I started with a white A2 card
Covered with wood grain designer paper from Authentique 6 x 6 - Celebrate
The striped paper from Authentique 6 x 6 - Celebrate, as well as the blue center strip
I colored the image with the following Copic markers: R11 and R27

Happy Birthday...

Party Animal!

Today is Sketchy Friday day!

And I am so excited to share my card with you, using sketch #8 for my INSPIRATION!

When I first saw this sketch, I thought of leaves around the edges.  Why?  I don't know.
So my brain started working extra hard to figure out what I was going to create.
Then I remembered...Sonia had some really cute little zoo animals in her selection of digi images.
I thought the Elephant, Giraffe and Lion would be really fun to use!

Anyway, this is my take on our sketch this week.
I hope it makes you SMILE!

Supplies I used to create my card:
I started with an A2 kraft card
Layers of designer papers from my stash of Close to My Heart papers (some really old papers)
The animals were outlined using E00 Copic maker
Using a 1-1/2" square punch, punch the animals out and layer on top of 1-3/4" yellow square
Leaves were created using Cricut "Create a Critter"cartridge page 51 <Leaf> cut ten at 1-1/4"
Add sponging around the leaves and black ink line work

Finishing Touches:
Blue grosgrain ribbon, sentiment (made by me) and google eyes

I really hope you will be able to join us for our sketch challenge.
Stop by to see the rest of Design Team B's creations and be inspired.

Remember...
Random draw winner will receive 1 digi image, but if you use a SKdigi, you will receive 2 images

This card features an image from SKdigis  newest release, which you can find HERE

I used the following Copic markers to color the image:
B60, C-1, C-5, G07. G14, YG06, Y15, YR23, YR31

After coloring the image it was cut into a 3" circle

A gold ribbon bow and some gold adhesive rhinestones finish the card.

Inspired by Pinterest and Top 3

Today I want to share a card I created, inspired by a card I pinned to my My Pinterest Board
See the Cased Card HERE

This card was one of the projects made in a class I taught with a group of my school district friends.
We try to get together at least quarterly to have dinner, chat and create.  It's so much fun!
I like keeping it small, only six people, including me, which makes it less stressful to plan.
There are others wanting to get into the group, when we vote someone off the island!

...and I am also sharing a Top 3 win at Digi Galore Challenges.  Read about it HERE

I was so excited to see that my card made Top 3, as this card was revamped several times.
I was having trouble getting the coloring just right on the bear, so after several attempts,
I decided to print the image on designer paper and do a little paper piecing.
So glad I stuck with it!  I really like the finished card.
And of course I have awesome images to work with as a DT member at SKdigis
Check out all images in the STORE

Thanks for stopping by today and remember to join me for the new Sketchy Friday challenge.
Also, Sonia has added 10 new St. Patrick's Day and there is a FREEBIE too!

I be back later this weekend to share some cards with the new St. Patrick's Day images,
and two other projects from my class.

Until then...
