Jungle Girl for Animation!

Woo! Here are some original character designs for animation purposes.

Coffee Shop Massacre

Here's my first batch of pages from Senior Project, using a script by B. Clay Moore.

Look out for my next batch of Senior Project pages-- these will be completely original, and featuring Jungle Girl and her Jungle Bro.

Big Ol' Art Dump

I just went through my flash drive and picked out some of the stuff worth sharing. Most of it is Winter quarter concept stuff.

Concept Stuff

Here's some concept work from Winter quarter. My first assignment was to design two opposing combatants.
This is a desert nomad who must defend his home planet from an invading empire.
This is a typical alien soldier of the evil empire.

The next assignment was to design two vehicles with similar purposes. I chose to make ceremonial "mounts" for royal guards.

One vehicle had to be a completely inorganic piece of technology.
The other had to be either a beast of burden or biotech.

Sketchbook Stuff

Hey guys, it's been a while. I'm working on redesigning my blog, so feel free to leave some feedback. Here are some scans from my sketchbook. I'm going to try and be a bit more regular with my posts.
I was returning to some characters from an old story of mine, about a guy who has to save his girlfriend from a castle when video games meld with real life. Also this shows I need to work on planning out my space in sketchbooks. Finding out you don't have room for a character's feet is aggravating.
Here are some character designs I did for senior project. I received a script about a gun fight in a coffee shop. Hank on the left is the mastermind of a heist, while Cody, on the right, is his nervous right hand man.

Here is a barista, and another guy dressed as a barista. Which is which?

Materials and Techniques pt. 2: The Final

Here is my final in progress. The penciling part should be mostly done, so now I've got to ink it, scan it in once again, then color it by Thursday. Should be fun. Heheh... haaa. D:

Materials and Techniques pt. 1

Rush Limbaugh pencil rendering and Boris Karloff-Frankenstein's monster marker rendering, respectively. I'm especially happy with the marker piece and had a lot of fun with it. Looking forward to doing more stuff in grey tone.
Both are assignments from my Materials and Techniques for Sequential Art class with Roy Richardson.

EDIT: Scanned versions of the finished pictures
